The car ride was silent, but steeped with tension.

Azaziel had said he needed to talk about something, only to start the car and then zoom off, driving to her house.

Her best bet was that he wanted to speak to her at home instead if in the car.

She still had the blush on her cheeks from his little not so little display in front of Bridget.

It was crazy how he literally came out of nowhere and stood with her while she faced one of her bullies who was once a friend.

It's been over two years now, but she still could not truly believe how quickly life had changed for her.

When he stopped in the driveway, Vynessa leaped out if the car, and rushed into the house, occasionally turning to check that he was still there.

When she walked into the kitchen to get a drink, she found him already there, leaning on the kitchen counter.

"You really need to stop doing that, if you don't plan of giving me a heart attack!"

"What? This?" And with that he appeared right in front of her, his hands splayed on either side of the kitchen counter, caging her in.

"Je─shit! Stop doing that. My heart could literally seize up and I'd die' she whispered. He was so close, so damn close she could still smell the sulfur and deep ocean and rain in his breath. He smelt undeniably manly.

" You won't"

"Oh it's very possible. I could... "

"You're in an unfinished oath with me, even death would not take you even if you begged him to"

It took her a minute to understand what he was saying and when she did...

"WHAT!!? Are you fucking saying I can't even die now!?"

Vynessa yelled.

"Yes. Dying without fulfillment of your own side of the oath means you have cheated me. The laws of life are very all encompassing. There's no loophole out of our oath. Not even death."

Vynessa laughed without emotion.

"I told you to kill me, and you took away that one wish. The one thing I actually told you to do. Begged you to do. You're really something, you know that?"

"You didn't even want to die anyway, Vynessa. Remember? You don't want to, or you could have" he said smugly. Like that information did not just upend her life.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" Vynessa said, seeing through him and his ploy to deflect again.

Azaziel's eyes shone, telling her she was right. He had been hoping she would forget what he said in the car.

Azaziel looked like he had finally come to terms with the fact that he had to, because he shook his head twice and then began.

"Vynessa, what I am about to tell you is scary. It will destroy your life as you know it, and it is my greatest desire to keep it away from you till the very end"

Vynessa's heart beat wildly in her chest.

"Well, it's not just about you, so I need to know. Stop trying to scare me, Azaziel"

"Fear is good, remember? Though, I'd much rather prefer that you don't quake in fear and collapse at my presence, but make no mistake, Vynessa, I am still the same being from before. I am not to be trifled with" as if on cue, thunder struck outside followed by heavy torrents of rain.

It was just 11am, but the sky became dark. High winds rattled her windows and shook the scanty trees outside, bending them till they snapped and broke. The lights in the house, twitched, flashed and blew up leaving burnt, static smoke in the air.

"Ok ok... I believe you. Please stop. Stop!! Please" Vynessa pleaded, holding on to the kitchen counter for dear life.

"Why love? I'm not doing anything. This is who I am. Everything else you know about me is just me putting a huge damper on who I really am" Azaziel said as his imaged swiched to and fro from his human form to his demon form.

"Stop fucking deflecting, Azaziel!!! Stop trying to come up with excuses to chicken out. You may think you're doing something, but all you're doing is show me how important this thing you're keeping from me is, and it makes me want to know it even fucking more!!!! So, stop being a big baby demon and tell me what it is you're so damn desperate to hide from me you coward!!?" Vynessa yelled in his face.

Azaziel stilled, his smug smile fading, along with everything else. The winds, rain and darkness bled black into light... Only the wet wind, broken trees and the sounds of various police cars and sirens showed that something like that had happened.

"Anchor. Do you know what it is?"

Vynessa looked blank.

"Just as a shifter or werewolf needs their fated mate to complete their soul, a demon needs their predestined mate, or ‘anchor,’ to complete them" Azaziel paused to take a deep breath before continuing.

"An anchor does exactly that– it anchored a demon and made them stronger,  stabilizes them, so that they no longer roamed the earth or hell without a purpose. A demon's anchor becomes the sole purpose of a demons life.

Without one, prince or not, high demon or not, you're just a larky for the big man down there"

Vynessa had never really heard him talk for this long, she was about to ask why he was telling her all that, but he opened his mouth to speak again.

"Having an anchor means having someone you could rely on, someone whose loyalty would be absolute. They would protect, support, and defend their anchor if necessary.

It is instinctual, such that even if you were human, you would not mind putting yourself in danger to save your demon anchor" he finished and sighed.

"That doesn't sound so bad" Vynessa said. She still didn't understand why he was giving her a lecture on werewolves and anchors.

"Well, there are downsides. Anchors become possessive and overprotective, Additionally, demons could find it mentally uncomfortable to be away from their anchors for long periods of time. There is also the fact that if a demon died, it was very mentally painful and draining for their anchor."

"Demons die? I didn't know that" Vynessa said. That was a scary, scary thought.

"It's not death as much as it is 'returning'. Every demon has an essence, just like him and have life. If we get hurt one two many times, it depletes and then extinguishes.

" so, it's like having a battery. If you use it, it drains and then goes off, if you don't, it stays?" Vynessa asked.

"Exactly like that" He finished.

"I take it you have found your anchor, if you're talking so much about it. Did you think I would be jealous? I'm totally fine"

She was totally not fine. Now she had no chance. She had no hope, not when he would be obsessed and crazy about some random demon in hell. He'd probably himself hoarse if he ever found out that she had─

"You know I can hear you, right?"

"WHAT!!? WTF DO YOU MEAN?!" Vynessa yelled.

"I told you I could from the very first day"

"So, you have been listening to my thoughts all this while?

" I try not to. Really, I do. And I don't hear all your thoughts. If I wanted to, I could. It's like shutting off a radio channel and switching to something else. It's usually not that strong for low tier demons. Those ones can sense really strong emotions and interpret them."

"You don't?" She asked, mostly to reassure herself.

"I try not to. Sometimes, it's almost like you stand at the door of your mind and shout them out at me. And they're so clear and loud, it's almost like you want me to hear them"

"And who is your demon anchor?" Vynessa asked

"That's the issue. My anchor isn't a demon, Vynessa, she's human. It's you"

Soulmate. Anchor. Confidant. Mate. Purpose. Possessive. Overprotective. Support. Defend. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor...

Vynessa stood still. Very still.

She would not shake, just in case the words she just heard began to move.

Vynessa could barely tell up from down when she was with him. He kissed her like it was his aim to erase. Like it was his aim to wash her clean from all her pasts and everything that came with it. He kissed her like he was a solid rock behind her and yet, a deep well of looming waters. Vynessa let herself go. Allowing herself to swim and drown within him. She pushed thoughts of her parents and the deep hurt she still felt aside. She would bring it back later and wallow in the pain, but for now, she was with him... But even as she kissed him, something felt off. "Is everything okay? You're distracted" Vynessa finally said, pulling away from Azaziel's arms to search his face. "You should be worrying about yourself, right now, little one. I plan to devour you tonight" Azaziel said and moved in to kiss her again, but she pulled away further. "Something's wrong, isn't it? You're deflecting again," Vynessa said, and he confirmed her suspicion by turning his head away and starting the

  • Claimed By Azaziel    He was raw power. He was hers.

Not for the first time in her life, but for the glaring situation in front of her at the moment, it hit Vynessa how truly, truly alone she was. Her father wanted nothing to do with her except as a puppet he could control and parade around to his whims. She had always wondered if they ever found themselves in a situation like this, which would he pick. She wasn't surprised, after all even during their divorce, no one claimed her. And she always wondered why. Vynessa had seen videos of court vases we're both parents would fight tooth and nail to be the one to raise the child. Why wasn't her family like that? She remembered being snubbed again and again when she'd been a little girl, remembered how early on she'd promised herself to never allow anyone to snub her again, how quickly she had hardened herself. A string of nannies had raised her, women who'd never stayed long enough for her to form a bond with them, and by the time she'd hit adolescence, she'd been craving any form

Parties where not really Vynessa's thing anymore. But as she walked into the building where the gala was holding, she could feel a tiny bit of the joy she used to feel before when she usually attended. The business party was held in a large hall, with large tables filling the place surrounded by chairs and people sitting around their friends and business partners. It was the kind of thing her father would like. Perfect for him and the exterior he had built for himself over the years and expected everyone to believe. And by the looks of things, people believed. Swallowing the illusion her father had created hook line and sinker. Her mother on the other hand... Vynessa heard her before she saw her. Vynessa's mother stumbled towards her, already tipsy from the free champagne going around at the party. Behind her were two of her friends. "Oh look who's here. My poor darling daughter. You showed up even though you really hate this things. Don't you, Nessa dear?"Before Vynessa could e

Azaziel and Vynessa's had spent the next day in her house. Vynessa worked on her transcripts for school so she could finally graduate. While Azaziel disappeared every two hours, only to come back home to drop a hard kiss on her lips before vanishing again. The last time he had appeared, she was taking a quick shower, and well... All she could say when he was done going down on her was "fuck" and just like several other times, he vanished again.Vynessa found herself always checking the clock even as she worked on the transcripts. The school transcripts had been Azaziel's idea. That was Azaziel's new plan for her. Finish school and move on to other things. She had almost graduated when her last bout of depression hit, so she took a gap year. Now he was making her choose between changing schools and moving to a new school or staying in the same school, where all her ex friends still were, and she did not know which was best. With a groan, Vynessa pushed everything to the side and dec

A third invisible finger slid inside her just as she got ready to suck him deep into her mouth. Her mouth fell open in a silent gasp of pure bliss and she gripped his thighs to help her cope with the sensations. That was when his cock thrust inside her mouth. She should have remembered the dominant demon would always add a twist to things. He always loved it when things went his own way. Azaziel was a sneaky fucker. Her mouth was so damn hot it was almost too hot. Just seeing those plush lips wrapped around him was enough to make Azaziel groan. As her tongue rubbed the underside of his cock, he growled. “You have the most fuckable mouth I’ve ever seen.” And he was going to enjoy it. As the icy fingers alternated between driving inside her and teasing her clit, Vynessa helplessly moaned around the thick cock that literally fucked her mouth. "You feel so good, Vynessa darling. So damn good" he said. She could barely make out his words. She could feel everything. Vynessa

  • Claimed By Azaziel    Lessons on teasing a demon

The restraint Azaziel had been holding on to tightly almost snapped completely as she repeated again. "kiss me".With a low growl, Azaziel walked towards Vynessa, covering the distance between them in an instant. He looked her dead in the eye, his eyes flashing read, showing her just a little of what he could unleash on her if she kept playing coy with him. " Don't regret this later, Vynessa darling. I would not be gentle. I would not apologize for how I plan to take you. How I plan to claim you." He growled, the sparks in his eyes becoming even more prominent. Vynessa had to have been high on cheap drugs because she looked at him straight in his eyes, matching his energy with a force of her own, even Azaziel was impressed. "Do your worst, Azaziel. I can take you" she finally said. Azaziel smiled the darkest smile she had ever seen on him, the sky above them darkened forming thick clouds. Whatever was left of his restraint snapped totally. Azaziel grabbed her by the neck and cras

  • Claimed By Azaziel    "Kiss me"

Azaziel seemed to live in a timeline of his own choosing because it took him three days before he showed up at Vynessa's house with a suitcase full of female clothes. When Vynessa opened the suitcases and asked who the clothes had been for, he simply replied; "They're yours Vynessa. Except you're insinuating they I have a secret stash of female clothes somewhere that I wear" Vynessa did not even a beat when she responded "with all the secrets you have? Being a low key cross dresser will be the least shocking of them all" Azaziel blinked in shock. At least she had her smart mouth back. "Pick a dress, and put it on. I've got something to show you" "And I have to dress up for it?" Vynessa asked, eyeing the bag full of expensive looking clothes and dresses. "Yes. Now go" Azaziel said. "Very Bossy" Vynessa murmured under her breath. "I can hear you, Vynessa. Go change" He said and stepped out of her room to give her privacy. "A Ferrari? Azaziel, Do you steal cars? How many lu

Vynessa stood up with renewed vigor and anger as she heard Azaziels voice. "Kill him? Kill him? Now you want to kill him? Where were you?" She asked and stomped towards him, pushing him back with her hands and hitting his chest. "Where the hell where you when he was here, saying all that to me?"Azaziel said nothing. "Where were you? You left me again? Went on your own way again? Why didn't you come for me?"Azaziel narrowed his eyes at her, and when she continued to hit him, he grabbed both of her hands and holding her steady. "You know, it is common knowledge that God Himself stayed still and watched His own Son be beaten, crucified and then killed by mere humans for a purpose" Azaziel said calmly in his usual poetic way. "What the fuck are you talking about?" Vynessa hissed. "Look at all that anger in your eyes, feel the force of your punches on my chest, look at you, you actually have it in you... So why didn't you fight HIM? He was right in front of you, talking in your f

Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Anchor. Vynessa stood in silence for a minute and then two before something else he had said stood out and clicked. "Issue?" Was all she could manage to say. Azaziel blinked. Twice."Thats what you're worried about? Not everything else that I've said but the fact that it is an issue that you're my anchor?""It is an issue?""You know that's not what I mean, Vynessa. But then, would anyone imagine their anchor being a human, instead of one their kind? Doubtful."When she didn't respond, he stepped closer to her, but still kept space between them. "You saw what I can do. That's the simplest of parlor trucks for me. And you're just so human and breakable and forgive me if I don't want to throw you headfirst into my world with all its scares and fears".She had seen what he was capable of. She also knew she was painfully human. But despite knowing all that about him, Vynessa didn’t fear him. Not li
