Chapter 15

I heard him called my name for the third time and still. I didn't bother to look back at him and I continued to walk. I'd rather trail my way back to the royal vineyard and have my feet bleed because of it than to ride in the same horse with him. The thought of us being close to each other just like how Orius and clung to each other earlier sent shivers down my spine. I wouldn't be able to take it.

"Eli!" He shouted my name. Controlled anger and irritation is now evident on his voice. Hearing those made me froze. I stilled on my spot until Averi is standing before me.

I blinked my eyes. Open, close, rub the lid of it and open again just to be sure that I am not imagining things and that he's reallt standing in front of me.

I gazes at my back. His black horse with a gleaming shiny hair is standing steps away from us, untied and yet it's not doing anything to runaway from us. His horse is trained properly, it's rare for horses to have such discipline. I think it's way more obedient th
