Harley’s P.O.V.

My query fairly amused that couple before me. Ella’s sinister laughter revived my injuries as she said,

“You are such an ingrate, Harley. Xander has spent millions on your mother, and you don’t even remember it?

How shameless!”

After enduring countless difficulties in her life, my mom fell ill. She had a surgery to fix her heart. Unfortunately, the best doctors in the pack couldn’t save her life and I lost my only parent.

It never occurred to me that Xander would keep a record of those medical bills as he added to Ella’s statement.

“You are right, darling. It’s in Harley’s nature to harm her benefactor.

And you, omega. Repay me one million dollars. I am not running a charity center here!”

He threw a blue file on my face, darkening my world. My hands were trembling when I opened it and saw the records. Even after the alimony, I had to shell out one million dollars to wipe the slate clean. It was like I fell into another dark pit after escaping an abusive relationship.

Conjuring up some valor, I raised my head to deal with this new dilemma and tried to negotiate with my ex.

“I will pay your money soon, Alpha. Give me some time to gather the amount.”

My statement evaporated Xander’s victorious grin into thin air. He lunged forward and growled.

“What did you say? You will repay this debt? What are you even thinking?”

As I didn’t give in to trickery, Xander lost it. He couldn’t digest the firm response of his submissive ex-wife and spat out.

“You are nothing without me, Harley. With your incomplete college degree, how are you supposed to earn money? Through prostitution?

Nobody will pay ten bucks for your ugly chubby figure!”

Xander insulted my appearance, body-shaming me. His audacity to call me a whore again set me ablaze as I shot back at him.

“Whether I sell my body or my soul, it’s none of your fucking business, Alpha Xander. You want your money, so it’s up to me how I’ll earn it.”

Seething in anger, I signed the legal papers of debt and spoke, glaring at Xander’s stupefied face.

“You will receive the full amount within three months, Alpha Xander. It’s an omega’s promise to you!”

...

After making an assertive claim, I left the Ledger’s mansion with only my clothes. The weight of reality sank in as I started looking for a job the next day. I applied to several vacancies, going to every office and institution, but in vain. Even the minimum wage job was impossible to secure, as restaurants and cafés rejected my application.

I was searching for an opportunity online when my aunt came to my room. She let me crash at her place after the divorce. Her voice was laced with concern as she said,

“It’s been three days, and you haven’t gotten a job, Harley. What will you do now?”

She voiced my horrors, twisting my guts. I was stunned to hear the latest gossip of the pack.

“The maids at my master’s place were talking that Alpha Xander has ordered all the subjects to not hire you. He wants you to work at his mansion, Harley.”

A wave of sheer disgust washed over me as Xander’s master plan unfolded before me, exhausting my patience. He stooped so low to avenge his Alpha ego. The grip on my cell phone tightened as I took a bold decision on a whim, cursing inwardly.

“You have left me with no choice, Xander!”

My aunt became worried, suggesting I should give up and submit. But I assured her.

“I am up for a long match, Aunt. Xander can’t dictate my life anymore.”

After this revelation, my work search ended at the Moon bar in a human town, the place I was familiar with. My friendship with the bartender helped me at this critical time. Lena was a lively girl with good relations with the boss, she confirmed my job as a server until evening.

“Come to the bar at eight, Harley. In addition to tips, you’ll get a commission for selling wine.”

I sincerely thanked the Goddess for her benevolence and went to work, excited to start a new career. This was the first time I was going to earn without the shadows of the Ledger family darkening my world.

Lena was cleaning glasses when I reached the bar. She gave me a revealing uniform and welcomed me.

“The boss is thrilled to have a new girl on board, Harley. I hope you’ll adjust to our routine soon.”

She instructed me about the rules of the bars, which were basically the importance of happy customers. I asked her,

“Everything is fine, but the guests won’t be happy to see me, Lena. I am clearly overweight, not a good fit for the job of server.”

As men liked delicate models with slender arms, long, skinny legs, and flawless skin, I stood no chance against them. My body was unrecognizable after three years of marriage. Working day and night for the pack, I forgot to eat healthy and exercise, gaining weight as a result. Taking care of my bedridden mother-in-law was a full-time job for me.

I expressed my reservations, sharing my concerns with Lena as my appearance wouldn’t please the customer. She took a brief look at my baggy clothes and spoke cheerfully.

“Oh, come on, Harley. You aren’t that bad. In fact, you are cute, like a teddy bear.

When I showed your picture to the boss, he mentioned the demands of some customers. They have a weird fetish for big girls.”

Lena dismissed my worries and pushed me to wear the costume, speaking nonstop.

“With your body shape, it’s necessary to pick the right outfit, Harley. Trust me, this uniform will refine your curves.”

After some back and forth, I went to get dressed and barely fit into the uniform. But my reflection in the mirror caught me off guard.

The low cut, tight-fitting black crop top accentuated my cleavage, the bar’s logo and my name on the chest were to gain guests’ attention. The bottom was a black mini skirt, hardly covering my panties. Then high-heeled boots and an apron for spare pockets completed my look.

Lena came in to check the progress and gasped,

“OMG! Harley, you look fab!

Now go outside and show off your round ass. It will earn you a great fortune.”

She giggled and smacked my ass, turning my cheeks red. I was nervous about being dressed like that.

I hadn’t worn such an outfit before, but my vengeful spirit gave me the courage to be confident. Feeling determined, I walked out and started serving the tables.

The middle-aged man in a brown coat was the first one to comment on my presence. His hungry gaze was fixed on my tits as he licked his lips.

“Finally, the boss has hired a thick lady. So gorgeous!”

Well, I wasn’t expecting praise after being ridiculed for my chubby appearance, so I thanked him with a smile. I was trying to be a polite server for a big tip when Lena called me.

“Hey, Harley. Room number 77 has asked for you.”

It turned out that the boss had informed all his guests about a chubby server, so someone requested my services. I picked the tray and rushed to the private room as only rich people could afford such luxury.

Hoping for solid business, I twisted the door’s knob and walked in while lowering my head.

“Good evening, Sir. How can I serve you today?”

“What about we start with your promise?”

The dominating Alpha tone dried the blood coursing through my veins as I gazed up and spotted Carlos, sitting leisurely on the leather sofa alone. His meaningful smile raced my heart as he said.

“You are divorced now, so it’s time to finish what we started that night, princess.”

Carlos’s P.O.V.Harley’s voice trembled as she turned to me, her eyes pleading.“Carlos, please compel her. Make her remember who she is. Just like you did it for Alex. You saved his life. Please do it again and help Lena.”Her words sank into me like nightshade poison!I looked at Lena lying there, pale and trembling, her pulse fluttering weakly. The healer’s injection quieted her screams, but her mind, her soul, was still chained to that monster. And for the first time in a long while, I didn’t know what to say!A heavy silence hung in the air as I could feel Harley’s anxious gaze burning into me, desperate, trusting. That trust was a weight pressing against my chest, making it hard to breathe. She believed that I could fix this… But the truth was I couldn’t!I clenched my fists behind my back, forcing a calm expression even as unease gnawed at my core. Compelling a human to erase his memory was an easy thing; I could do that. But to break another vampire’s compulsion, that was an

Harley’s P.O.V.Lena was Derek’s mate? How could I miss that?My two friends were dating all along, and I was clueless, foolishly thinking that Lena was just busy building her new life. It turned out that she took her werewolf obsession to another level and married the most eligible one known to her.I should have realized it when Derek broke through the security of the most dangerous vampire city, but I mistook it for his dedication to justice. Like any detective would put his life in danger for a random girl instead of going to the royal council first.Goddess, I was so stupid! However, this revelation took effect immediately. The tension that had been crackling in the air suddenly shifted as Lucian became cautious, ordering Carlos, Henry, and Derek to accompany him to his private study for a ‘meeting.’ He even called the servants to take Lena to the special medical wing of the castle. The smell of antiseptic and metal filled the air, mixing with the trace of blood that still clung

Harley’s P.O.V. My pulse stuttered as Carlos went rigid beside me, startled to be caught red-handed. Slowly, we all turned towards the stairs to face that person, and there he was, halfway down the steps. Henry! The last man I wanted to see right now! His lips curved into a faint smirk as his cold gaze swept over us, lingering on me for a moment too long. My gaze fell on his dripping red hand, the other holding a white handkerchief as he wiped his fingers like he’d just finished an art project instead of something monstrous. “Can I know,” he continued in that same casual tone, “why you are all in my private place?” My stomach sank instantly. This hidden cellar, this blood-soaked room, was his private property, hinting towards his vileness. Carlos instinctively stepped in front of me, his aura flaring like wildfire. “It’s not like that, Uncle.” He tried to explain, but Henry didn’t pay attention to him. His smirk twisted when his gaze landed on Derek. The playfulness evaporated

Harley’s P.O.V.For a moment, all I could do was stare at him, unsure if I had heard correctly. “What?”I managed, my voice barely above a whisper. “A family member? You mean someone from the Laynox family is involved in it?”I blinked, my mind struggling to keep up as this idea felt very wrong, even absurd. It was impossible that the Laynox family, a royal bloodline among the vampires, could do such a thing. They already had everything: wealth, respect, and power. There was nothing in this entire world they couldn’t get through their influence. Then why would anyone stoop so low as to kidnap a human girl? After all, they didn’t have any shortage of blood supply. Although I stated the obvious, Carlos’s expressions didn’t waver. He was calm, like he had already accepted the unthinkable.“The clues point that way, Harley.”He said icily. “And Derek’s tracking device is accurate. It doesn’t lie.”He sounded resolute, almost determined, clearing the thick fog of uncertainty. So, I ask

Harley’s P.O.V. The moment that crimson liquid touched his tongue, Henry’s eyes widened. The glass slipped from his hand, shattering on the marble floor with a loud bang. His face turned ashen, then an unnatural shade of blue that spread fast across his skin. Henry straightened, forcing composure back into his gestures. His chair scraped loudly against the marble as he stood. “Excuse me!” He said it curtly, and without another glance, he left in a hurry, prevailing an awkward silence in the dining hall. Even the clink of silverware had been stopped now, thickening the air. Aunt Freya half-rose from her chair, worry flashing across her face. “I’ll go to check on him…” But Carlos’s low scoff cut through the air, sharp as the crack of glass. “So, Uncle doesn’t appreciate my wife’s warm gestures, huh?” His tone dripped with irritation, eyes still focused on his plate as he cut the hash brown with his knife. “Harley gathered the family, cooked food despite being sick

  • Claimed By My Ex's Uncle    Chapter 111

Harley’s P.O.V. Derek’s statement hit us like a physical blow. We both turned towards him, stunned. “What? In this castle?” Derek nodded gravely. “Yes, Lena is somewhere inside these walls. The signals went off after reaching here. So, I am certain she is in this castle.” For a long, tense moment, none of us spoke. The fire crackled behind Derek, casting long shadows that seemed twisted with the weight of truth. I gripped Carlos’s arm tightly. “Carlos, we have to find her now. Let’s go.” But Carlos wrapped his arms around my shoulders, steady but reassuring. “Wait. Calm down,” he said, his tone low but firm. “Don’t rush this, Princess.” I looked up at him, confused, my heart still pounding from Derek’s revelation. Carlos continued, his voice heavy with command. “Matters like kidnapping aren’t solved by panic. We can’t just go knocking at every door and tearing the castle apart. Whoever has done this is dangerous, not to be trifled with recklessly.” Derek crossed his arms, s
