Harley’s P.O.V.“Why is Ella sharing her nudes with Xander?”As I switched on the laptop for the record of monthly expenditures, the notification on my Alpha husband’s official email caught me off guard. I was startled to see the contents of Ella’s email. She had sent intimate images to Xander without any message or subject. For a moment, I couldn’t believe my eyes that my best friend would do something like this!Ella and I were childhood BFFs, sticking to each other’s side in every thick and thin. She was used to calling Xander her brother, respecting our relationship. Then how could she cross the limits of decency all of a sudden?I knew that spying on your spouse was wrong, but I couldn’t suppress my suspicion and decided to get to the bottom of it. There was a voice screaming in the back of my head that something was fishy!Xander was expanding his business overseas, so his one laptop was at home for me. I had to manage the pack expenses and make a full report for him to review

Harley’s P.O.V.“Ahh, my head!”The golden rays of sun shining brightly in the surroundings yanked me out of my deep slumber, jolting me awake. The intense pain in my head made me feel dizzy as I tried to open my eyes.“Where am I?”That was the first query that popped into my mind, forcing me to check my whereabouts. The softness beneath me suggested I was lying on a comfortable soft mattress. I grabbed my head and sat up, trying to recall the events of yesterday. A tsunami of memories flashed across my mind as I jumped uncontrollably.“Shoot! What the hell did I do last night?”My eyes flew open as I looked around, searching for the man from the bar. I could only remember seducing him for a one-night stand shamelessly.Goddess! What had I done?In my twenty-one years of life, I didn’t even look at any man besides Xander, saving myself for him. Harley’s P.O.V.My query fairly amused that couple before me. Ella’s sinister laughter revived my injuries as she said,“You are such an ingrate, Harley. Xander has spent millions on your mother, and you don’t even remember it? How shameless!”After enduring countless difficulties in her life, my mom fell ill. She had a surgery to fix her heart. Unfortunately, the best doctors in the pack couldn’t save her life and I lost my only parent. It never occurred to me that Xander would keep a record of those medical bills as he added to Ella’s statement.“You are right, darling. It’s in Harley’s nature to harm her benefactor. And you, omega. Repay me one million dollars. I am not running a charity center here!”He threw a blue file on my face, darkening my world. My hands were trembling when I opened it and saw the records. Even after the alimony, I had to shell out one million dollars to wipe the slate clean. It was like I fell into another dark pit after escaping an abusive relationship.

Harley’s P.O.V.A chill ran down my spine, as now glaring at from head to toe Xander was criticizing my appearance. His shock turned into mockery as he chuckled.“Well, well, well! Aren’t you the same pig who used to carry my name?See, what has happened to you!”My breath caught in my throat as Xander’s deadly smirk screamed trouble. The dread crawled up the back of my neck like the icy fingers to see him leaning at his chair. After spending three years with him as his wife, I was very well aware that this calmness after the initial lash out was a sign of carnage. One should run as fast as he could to save his life. However, I was stuck there, unable to move. Xander spoke with disgust.“Here you are, serving drinks in this human dump. Why am I not surprised, Harley?”The tray in my hand wobbled. I had to grip it tighter to stop myself from dropping it. Xander’s arrival here could be the end of my job, so I begged him.“Alpha, please. It’s a human town and …”“Don’t call me that!”Xan

Harley’s P.O.V.As Carlos stood up for me in the critical situation, my work life became peaceful. My boss didn’t fire me despite Xander’s complaint. Moreover, Jenna offered me to share her apartment with her, solving my residence issue. “We can split the bills and rent, Harley. It’s difficult for me to pay all the expenses alone.”So, Jenna became my savior in the human city, letting me start fresh. I was truly grateful to her for her help. All those so-called kinky men wanted to sleep with me in the first place. As my job wasn’t to fulfill thei
