GENEVIEVE'S POV

My phone beeped and I ignored it, thinking it was Tex. It rang continuously and I glanced at the screen with a slight frown, only to realize it was Brenda calling. I answered the call and lifted the phone to my ear, waiting for her to speak up.

“Listen, Genny… the dinner just came to an end. Alpha Lance seems really furious and he has ordered his guards to come in search of you. I don’t know what he intends to do but I think you should find a way to hide or find and apologize to that man as soon as you can.” I could hear her panting heavily as she spoke in a hushed tone, her voice coated with worry.

“Alot happened, Brenda. I can't reel them off now but I'll tell you when we meet. About apologising to him, that won't be necessary… we've had a conversation–”

“Ugh?! That doesn't seem like the situation. Alpha Lance is seething with fury and he charges at anyone in sight, including Ma'am Helen. He claims she brought you in to ruin the essence of the dinner. Please, find a way to stay safe…”

“You don't have to worry about me, Brenda. What's the worst that could happen? My mum is currently in coma and I depend on that fucking man for her survival–”

“What?!” She exclaimed, unable to believe her ears.

“Yes, you heard me right. Like I said, a lot happened and I'll find time to explain it all to you. In the meantime, I'm heading home to prevent the manager of the estate from throwing our stuff out like he threatened. Just be good and stay safe.” I ended the call and returned the phone to my bag before quickly going in search of the doctor.

I caught sight of her in the hallway and hurried towards her before she could get into another ward. “Doctor, I'm heading home to put things in place. Payment will be made soon, please do not neglect her—” I held her hand and pleaded, hoping she'd feel a bit of sympathy and she sighed before nodding.

I thanked her and quickly dashed out of the premises to board a taxi. I was so worried that I never knew it had gotten very late. As I hopped into the taxi, I inwardly hoped the estate manager didn't carry out his threat. A failed work attempt, hospitalised mother, an unfavorable business deal and then, suddenly becoming homeless? It'd be too much for me to handle in just a day.

The driver pulled up before my apartment and I heaved a sigh of relief after alighting to see none of our stuff was outside. The bill was long due and I kept fabricating stories to buy time after losing my job but the manager of the estate suddenly lost it this morning and his constant threat was what motivated me to go work with Brenda at the Alpha's mansion.

I took sluggish steps to my room and had a warm bath, hoping it'd calm my nerves but it didn't work. The burden on my chest was just too much for me to handle and I hated the fact that I had to shoulder the family's responsibility at the age of 22. I got out of the bathroom and put on a pink pair of pajamas before sitting at the edge of the bed as I glanced at our family portrait with a bitter smile.

Our once big happy family turned into a complete mess after father's death and I blamed him for leaving us every single day that passed. I knew it was selfish to blame him, he struggled with leukemia for years before finally giving up when he could no longer fight and my mother loved him so much that his death made her lose her life essence.

The sound of a knock interrupted my trail of thoughts and my gaze squinted the next instant as I wondered who it could be. I wasn't expecting anyone and it was quite an odd hour. The first thought that came to my head was the Alpha's guards whom Brenda already warned me about but I knew it wouldn't be easy for them to find my house so soon. Then, who could it be?

I slowly got off the bed and tiptoed to the living room, hoping I could peep to see who it was but I was sent flying a few metres away when the door was suddenly forced open by the impact of a violent kick.

“How long was it gonna take for you to open the door, huh?!” I could see the rage in the eyes of the man who just stepped in. His frame was huge and his scarred face left me quivering as I tried to crouch behind the couch but he ordered the men behind him to grab me before I could scurry away.

They stepped forward and grabbed both of my arms, pulling me out of my apartment. From their outfits which had the royal emblem, I could already tell they were sent by Alpha Lance. “I know the Alpha sent you, but I've already apologized to Alpha André. You can call him to confirm…” I tried to convince them but they paid deaf ears and yanked me towards the black jaguar they came in.

“Let go of me, I've done nothing wrong!” I tried to wiggle off their grip but my strength was no match for theirs. They forced me into the car and made me sit in-between them as the car got in motion and I gave up trying to struggle because I knew it'd be in vain.

The speed at which the car rattled along the road in the middle of the night, made my heart race and I shut my eyes tightly, feeling extremely petrified but they remained calm like it was nothing at all. I felt goosebumps crawl underneath my skin as we went further and I wondered what the Alpha would do to me.

The car finally came to a halt before the Alpha's mansion and I was pulled out of it like a common criminal. “Can you stop pulling me? I can walk!” I tried to protest but the deadly glare I got from the scar-faced man, made me seal my lips.

I was led into the Alpha's chambers where I met him pacing back and forth with a clenched jaw and both men forced me to go on my knees. He stormed towards me and I gulped, hanging my head low after seeing the killing intent in his eyes. A resounding slap was left across my cheek the next moment and I felt my head spin. The stinging pain was too much for me to bear and I felt a single tear roll down my cheek.

“You wench! You couldn't keep your damn mouth shut and you disrespected Alpha André on my turf? Watch me skin you alive after getting an order from him!” He spat with disdain and reached out for his phone.

“Alpha, Andre… I'm sorry for the nuisance constituted by this bitch earlier. She almost escaped but I've managed to capture her. How should I punish her to your satisfaction?” He asked with trembling fingers like a puppet about to take instructions from his master.

He was struggling to maintain his grip on his phone and I was both curious and in awe. Just how powerful is this man for Alpha Lance of the Wolfram pack to be on the verge of peeing his pants while on the phone with him?

He was in close range and I could hear Alpha André speak. “Do not hurt even a strand of her hair. My beta is on his way to pick her— I won't be jovial if you lay a finger on her, Lance. Hand her over to him in one piece.” His voice was calm but it held a tinge of firmness as he voiced out the order and blood drained from Alpha Lance's face as he glanced at me after the call ended.

André’s POVThe knock on healer's door was softer than it should’ve been.I wasn’t here to demand answers. I was here because something inside me something old and aching needed to understand. She opened the door with that calm, knowing look in her eyes, like she’d already sensed me coming. The scent of herbs and wolfsbane clung to the air behind her, grounding and earthy.“Alpha,” she greeted gently. “Or are you just André today?”I gave a small, tired smile. “Just André.”She stepped aside and motioned me in. “Then sit. And tell me what’s eating you alive from the inside out.”I didn’t speak for a moment. The fire crackled in the hearth. The windows were open to the breeze. And still my chest felt like it was carrying a weight I wasn’t meant to bear.“I connect with her” I said finally.Marala raised a brow. “Genevieve.”I nodded. “It wasn’t just a connection, It was… it was lightning. Like something in me cracked open. Like I’ve been asleep for years and just now woke up.”Her eyes

  • Claimed By The Alpha: Cursed Desires   Something in the Air

Genevieve’s POVThe air had changed.I noticed it that morning subtle but electric. Like the quiet hum in the atmosphere before a thunderstorm, only this storm wasn’t in the sky. It was between us.André stood across the training field, speaking with his Gamma about border patrol shifts, but my eyes wouldn’t leave him. The way his muscles flexed when he moved. The way his jaw tightened when he thought. The low timber of his voice carried to me even with the distance and every word sent a ripple down my spine. He wasn’t even trying, and yet my wolf stirred with interest. No… not just interest. Need.As if finally, after all the danger, after the pain and survival and blood, something sacred had been given permission to bloom. The mate bond.It sparked like a live wire between us.When he turned to look at me, his gaze lingered. And the moment our eyes met, it hit.Hard.My heart skipped. My breath stuttered. Heat pooled low in my stomach, and I felt it that unmistakable pull. That ache

  • Claimed By The Alpha: Cursed Desires   Just Us Tonight

Genevieve’s POVThe world outside had gone quiet. No alarms. No screams. No shadows creeping through the trees. For the first time in weeks, the pack house was still its halls bathed in candlelight, its windows open to the soft hush of the wind. The fires had died down. The warriors had gone to rest. The Council’s verdict was behind us.And André was finally mine again. We hadn’t spoken much since the judgment. He’d come to me with blood still on his skin, and I’d wrapped my arms around him without a word. Now, as I stood in our room, the tension in my chest slowly began to loosen. The door clicked shut behind him.I turned. He stood there, shirtless, sweat and war washed clean from his skin. The bandage on his ribs had been replaced, but his eyes they still carried the storm. The weight of everything he’d carried. And yet when he looked at me, it was like he was coming home.Neither of us spoke as he crossed the room. He reached for me slowly, his fingers curling around mine. I could

Behind them stood their warriors, united under a single banner of truth.Across from them, shackled and silent, stood Kai, Kendrick’s second-born son. His face was bloodied, pride long stripped away. Beside him stood Kendrick’s widow, the once-feared Luna still draped in mourning silks that did nothing to hide the venom in her gaze. Although her plans failed, although her life was ruined, she still had no remorse for what happened, she still had that look on her face that said, 'I

Then chaos.André was already halfway down the corridor before the second alarm bell rang.Genevieve stood frozen in the doorway of their room, eyes wide, heart pounding. Behind her, Kiera clutched the blanket around her shoulders, pale and silent. The healer was gathering her satchel with trembling hands, her jaw tight with resolve.“André?” Genevieve called, voice trembling. He turned sharply, already shirtless, the edge of a claw slicing through his forearm as he prepared to shift. His eyes glowed with fury but they softened the moment they landed on her.“They’re here,” he said. “Kendrick’s pack. They are finally attacking”“How bad?” The healer asked from behind.“They’ve started with the east,” André gr
