Brian

“What do you want?”

The question left my mouth steady, but every instinct in my body had already gone sharp.

Gino didn’t answer right away. He stayed seated in the center of the barn with Kimberly draped across his lap like some kind of decoration, one hand moving lazily over her thigh while his attention remained locked on me. The men around the room had gone quiet, which told me they knew something I didn’t.

Or maybe they just knew Gino well enough to understand silence usually came bef

It’s not a rape story. That was an essential survival moment for both her and Brian. And the trauma from it is dealt with afterward. I purposely wrote it in a way to not be explicit about it to try not to trigger anyone but with enough detail to understand the mental and emotional state of Sable and Brian. Because that is important. And just saying “he’s a bad guy“ about Gino does not have the same effect and does not portray him as evil as he is as it does when you show how bad he actually is

  • Claimed By The Biker King   Chapter 63 – The Offer

MarcusBy eleven forty-five the next night, everybody who mattered knew where I was going and nobody who mattered looked like they did. That was the only way the meeting worked. Mateo’s people wanted me alone, which meant I had to arrive alone. It did not mean I was stupid enough to actually be alone. Nixx had the truck-service lot mapped from three angles, Benny had traffic cameras on the nearest road, and Stone and Bryce were positioned far enough out that nobody watching the meeting would see Dagger colors unless things went wrong.Jarek stayed at the clubhouse because his absence from the compound would destroy the entire point of the performance.

SableBy the next afternoon, apparently I had become a voting bloc.I learned that from the Iron Saints’ vice president, which was not how I expected my day to go. Camden and I had met exactly twice, once at a memorial ride and once when the Saints passed through Middletown on their way west. He was not a friend, but he was neutral enough that his call mattered. Neutral clubs did not usually insert themselves into another club’s internal problems unless those problems were starting to affect business.I answered outside Motor Works because Marcus was inside arguing with an insurance adjuster and I valued my hearing.&

  • Claimed By The Biker King   Chapter 61 – Make It Look Real

MarcusBy midnight, Nixx had enough to confirm Mack was not simply unlucky. The second false packet had gone out with him at seven twenty-three. Twenty-three minutes later, the revised time, west gate, Benny’s name, and the fake storage unit appeared in Serrano communications. Once that hit, Nixx went backward through traffic cameras and card activity from the first leak instead of only looking forward from the second. That was how he found the gas station.Mack had stopped there after both packets. The first time, before we knew to watch him, a traffic camera caught his bike en

JarekI knew Mack’s name before Nixx finished saying it, and that was the problem. If the source had been a contractor with a temporary gate code or a driver hauling parts for Motor Works, I could have put him in a box marked enemy and dealt with it. Mack had a Black Daggers patch on his back. He had sat in church, ridden beside us, and crossed the gate without anyone looking twice. The fake route had belonged only to him: eight twenty, south gate, Belen storage. Twenty-three minutes later, those details appeared in Serrano communications.Marcus stood beside me with both hands braced against the table. Sable had gone very still on my other side, while Nixx and Benny waited for me to say something. Nobody rushed to fill the room because they knew me well enough to understand that silence did not mean I was calm.It meant I was working very fucking hard to become calm.“How sure?”“Ninety percent from the first leak alone,” Nixx said. “Higher if we get a second confirmation.”“Why not

MarcusMack was bitching about a fuel card before I had finished breakfast. That was normal enough that I barely looked up from my plate when he stopped beside the table with the plastic card pinched between two grease-stained fingers. Mack had been patched long enough that nobody bothered attaching a story to him every time he walked into a room. He was in his forties, broad through the shoulders, quiet unless somebody started talking engines or inventory, and usually knew which truck needed fuel before the man driving it did.“Pump two declined this again.”I took the card from him. “Did you try pump one?”He stared at me. “No, Marcus. I stood there getting rejected because humiliation is important for character development.”Sable snorted into her juice.I handed it back. “Try pump one.”“I hate leadership.”“Get in line.”Mack wandered toward the bar still muttering, stopping long enough to tell Smitty that the three oil filters he had been looking for yesterday were exactly where

SableBy the time the clubhouse finally went quiet, I was done letting every room become strategy. For days, there had always been another phone lighting up or another rumor to trace. Tonight Nixx had Marcus’s anonymous number, Benny had the recording backed up, and nobody had anything useful before morning. I locked our bedroom door and turned my phone facedown along with Jarek’s.Marcus looked over from the edge of the bed. “That seems ominous.”“It isn’t.” I held out my hand until he surrendered his phone anyway. “Nobody is calling Serrano. Nobody is checking a forum. Nobody is reading another message about who is supposedly running our club.”Jarek was already shirtless because he had changed for bed, and one eyebrow lifted when I added Marcus’s phone to the stack. “What if something happens?”“Then somebody downstairs can walk up the stairs and knock like people did before phones ruined civilization.”His eyes went to the door automatically.Marcus saw it too. Neither of us point
