Chapter 4

Author: T Savage
Our loud argument echoed down the hallway, and curious onlookers began to gather.

"We should go home! Don’t stand here letting them gossip about us," Blake grabbed my arm.

"The ones being gossiped about are you and Ivy, not me!" I shook his hand off.

My resistance seemed to attract even more attention from the crowd.

"Isn’t Ivy Luna Nina’s therapist?" a woman whispered.

"This is so unprofessional! A therapist having an affair with her patient’s husband? That’s disgusting," another voice echoed, filled with criticism.

"I can’t believe Ivy would do something like that," someone muttered. "I went to her for therapy. Now I’m creeped out."

"What’s the big deal?" A man laughed quietly. "Alpha Blake has always been a playboy. Haven’t you heard the rumors about him in high school?"

Ivy heard these comments and didn’t dare to say a word, hiding behind Blake.

Blake’s expression darkened, and with the authority of an Alpha, he turned and ordered the onlookers,

"Get out of here! All of you!"

He then turned to me, his eyes glaring at me, and tightly held my arm.

"You’ve made your point! Now, come on."

I struggled to get rid of his grip, but my strength couldn’t match his. Postpartum depression had drained me physically and emotionally.

He dragged me down the hallway, and I stumbled behind him, breathing heavily from frustration and exhaustion.

When Blake dragged me back home, shame, betrayal, and helplessness intermingled.

The nanny was holding Ava, looking at us with a hint of fear.

"Take Ava back to the nursery," I calmly told the nanny.

Even though Ava was just one year old, I didn’t want to argue in front of her. Werewolf children are more sensitive to changes in their parents’ emotions than human babies.

"We’ll talk in the bedroom," I said without looking at Blake, heading straight for the room.

"How dare you bring her into our home? And onto my bed! Do you remember? We picked this bed out together. Even the sheets and pillows were bought after we got married!" I angrily yanked the sheets off the bed, tearing them apart.

I remembered this bed—Blake had invited top-tier furniture designers to create a custom King-size bed just for me. Now, when I looked at it, all I could picture was Blake and Ivy fuck on it.

"Nina, I swear, it was just a moment of impulse. The only person I truly love is you. You’ll always be my mate. I was a playboy before, but I’ve been loyal to you after we got married," Blake's tone softened.

"How dare you even talk about loyalty!"

"I know I was wrong, but you have to understand—Ivy and I have no love between us. It was just... physical. That’s all. I swear, if you want, I’ll completely remove her from my life. I’ll never see her again."

His words only fueled the fire of anger inside me.

"Once a cheater, always a cheater!" I gritted my teeth. "I want to reject you!"

"Calm down first. We have Ava now, and this isn’t just our problem. Ava needs a complete family! Are you really going to leave all of this behind?"

"You abandoned us first... The moment you slept with Ivy, you abandoned us!"

Blake’s expression grew complicated. The proud man finally lowered his head.

I stopped listening to him and began packing my things.

"What are you doing?" Blake blocked me.

"This bed is already tainted. I won’t stay here. Whether or not you agree to break the mate bond, I’m leaving with Ava."

"No! Ava is my daughter, I won’t let you take her!"

Blake snatched my suitcase from me.

"If you’re going to leave, leave alone. But you’re not taking Ava! And don’t even think about breaking the mate bond!"

"Are you going to leave her here so your mistress can bully her?" My eyes were red, my voice trembling.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Ivy is not..."

Just then, there was a hurried knock on the door, and soon, I heard Ava crying.

"Ava just threw up again, she looks really uncomfortable!" The nanny was at the door, speaking in a panic.

"Blake, I can never forgive you. I came back to officially sever our mate bond."I interrupted him."I've already apologized! Why are you being so stubborn? Can't we start over?" Blake pleaded. "Now you're the stubborn one! There's no chance for us anymore, don't you understand, Blake?""Is it because of him?" Blake pointed at Logan, sneering. "You want to leave me ao that you can just climb into this man's bed, right?” He chuckled sarcastically. “I can banish you, but Ava stays with me. She’s my daughter, and I won’t let any other man be her father! If you don’t want to see two packs at war, then hand over Ava to me," Blake roared. Then Blake took out his phone and made a call."Bring the soldiers. Now!"Logan let out a sigh and stepped forward."Blake, you’re no longer the Alpha," Logan said calmly. "You and your mistress conspired to harm your mate and child. The werewolf council has unanimously agreed to strip you of your Alpha status. The Shadowbite pack is no longer under your con

The council hall under the moonlight appeared even more solemn, with silver-gray stone walls adorned with the family crests, symbolizing the honor and responsibility of each wolf pack.“A therapist, daring to poison a Luna, such behavior must be severely punished!” Logan stood at the center of the council table, speaking firmly to the council members.”Alpha Logan, we will support you. The arrest warrant has been approved,” the elders of the council whispered among themselves before nodding in agreement. After receiving the document, Logan turned and walked toward the door. I waited for him by the entrance.“You shouldn't be here. You need rest. I’ll send people to Shadowbite Pack to arrest Ivy.“Logan, I have to go with you. This is not just about getting revenge on Ivy. I also need to break the mate bond with Blake.”“Are you sure about this?” Logan’s pupils slightly contracted.“Yes,' I met his gaze, my tone filled with unshakable determination. “Blake is a thing of the past, and Iv

I was at the Moonblade Pack for three days now, and everything there was unfamiliar. To avoid causing trouble for Logan, Ava and I stayed at home and hadn’t go out.“Take a walk, it will be good for Ava too,” Logan said as he brought me some of Ava's necessities.“I’ll take you to a nice restaurant.”The restaurant was located in the center of the Moonblade Pack, and the air was filled with the smell of freshly baked bread.Ava sat in a baby seat, waving her little hands, seemingly entertained by the new surroundings. We had just ordered the food when Logan’s phone rang. He apologized to me, saying it’s urgent and walked outside to talk. Not long after he left, Ava suddenly started crying loudly, her cries piercing.I gently tried to calm her down while rummaging through my bag for a pacifier, but her crying seemed to upset the couple at the next table.“Can you control your child? It’s so noisy, how are we supposed to eat?”The woman said impatiently.“She’s only one year old, it’s no

The atmosphere in the hospital room was suffocatingly tense.Blake's eyes flickered with anger."Come home with me, Nina," he roared, reaching out to grab Ava, who was crying in my arms."No!" I held my daughter tightly and took a step back behind Logan. "I won’t go anywhere with you!""Didn’t you hear what Nina just said?" Logan extended his hand to block Blake, standing firmly between us."Move aside," Blake ordered. "Nina is my mate. This is none of your business.""Blake, the moment you betrayed me, I had no home to return to. I will never go with you!" My voice trembled.Logan glanced at me, then turned his gaze back to Blake, his lip curling in disgust."An Alpha should never betray his mate," Logan said coldly."You know nothing!" Blake snapped, his calm completely shattered."I know. A real man respects his mate, doesn’t betray her, and certainly doesn’t try to control her," Logan said, still calm, but his words were as firm as iron."Why are you helping her? What secrets do yo

I walked away only to meet my eyes with the werewolf who ran into me before. His eyes were green filled with emotions I couldn’t see through. Fixing the gaze on each other, we were about to cross each other when he blocked me. "Is Alpha Blake your mate?" He asked with curiosity. "Do you know each other?"If he's Blake's friend, then he's probably not a good man! I thought to myself. "We used to fight rogues together. He's not great at taking down enemies, but he’s pretty skilled at dealing with his own mate," he said sarcastically.I looked at him, a little surprised. I didn’t expect this stranger to speak up for me."Nina, right?" He held his hand out. "And who are you?" I asked, eyeing him warily."Logan Savage.""The Logan? The Alpha of the Moonblade pack?" I looked at him in disbelief. “Yes,” He said, chuckling. Oh, god!! Is he the Lycan?I had heard that the Alpha of the Moonblade pack was different from other Alphas. He was a Lycan, a stronger and older race.In battle, th

"Ava!" I quickly grabbed her and ran towards the garage."I'll drive you to the hospital!" Blake chased after me."I don't need your help! Go be with your mistress!""Stop being so stubborn! Ava is my child too! If you want to argue with me, pick a better time!"I relented and, holding the child, got into Blake's car. But as soon as I sat down, a thought flashed through my mind:Had Blake and Ivy done it in this car too?! Otherwise, where did this faint jasmine scent come from?Ivy always smelled of jasmine!Even though my sense of smell had diminished, it was hard to ignore that scent.I forced myself not to get out of the car for my child. Once we arrived at the hospital, I rushed into the pediatric clinic."Don’t worry, Luna Nina. It’s the usual problem, colic." Half an hour later, the doctor came out of the emergency room to reassure me. "We can admit her for observation for a couple of days.""I told you it was nothing. You’ve been too nervous. Your anxiety isn't good for the
