FINN

The man remained on his knees in front of me, his head lowered so far that his forehead almost touched the pavement. I could hear every beat of his heart now, fast and frightened beneath his chest, and I could smell the fear coming from his skin. A few minutes ago, I had been the same weak Finn who had spent his entire life believing he could never shift, but now I was standing over another werewolf in a body that felt stronger than anything I had ever known. My silver eyes reflected in the puddle beneath my paws, and I could barely recognize myself. Lunar was awake inside me, filling my mind with strange memories and instincts that did not belong to the human life I remembered. I wanted to run because none of this made sense, but another part of me wanted answers.

I lowered my head and stared at the man. “Who sent you?” I asked, but the words came out as a deep growl that seemed to shake the air around us.

The man lifted his head slightly, but the moment his eyes met mine, he lowered them again. “I cannot tell you,” he whispered. His voice trembled badly. “If I tell you, they will kill me.”

Lunar growled inside my head, and I felt his anger spread through my body like heat. “He knows who they are,” Lunar said. “But he is more afraid of them than he is of us.”

I stepped closer, and the man immediately pressed himself flatter against the pavement. “You came after me,” I growled. “You knew who I was. So tell me why.”

He swallowed hard and finally looked up at me again. “Because your return was never supposed to happen.”

Before I could question him further, the sound of tires cutting through the wet street reached my ears. A black vehicle turned the corner at frightening speed and stopped several meters away. The passenger door opened first, followed by two men who stepped out with weapons hidden beneath their coats. Then another figure emerged from the back seat. Even in the darkness, I knew him instantly. Magnus stood in the middle of the street, his black shirt open at the collar and his expression hard enough to frighten anyone who did not know him. His eyes immediately found me. For one long second, neither of us moved. Then his wolf surged forward so violently that Magnus's entire body stiffened. I could feel it too. Regulus recognized Lunar.

“Finn,” Magnus whispered.

The sound of my human name coming from his mouth made something inside my chest ache. Lunar pushed closer to the surface, and suddenly I could feel Magnus's emotions as if they were my own. Fear. Shock. Anger. Relief. And beneath everything else was something so deep that I almost couldn't understand it. Love. It was buried beneath years of resentment, but it was still there. Magnus took one step toward me, but his security team immediately moved in front of him.

“Stay back,” one of them warned.

Magnus ignored him. His eyes never left mine. “Finn, come here.” His voice was softer than it had been at the hotel. It was almost the voice I remembered from years ago, the one that used to calm me whenever I was frightened.

Lunar suddenly whispered inside my head. “Our mate.”

I wanted to move toward him. Every part of me wanted to cross the distance between us, but another memory flashed through my mind. Magnus standing in the great hall. The rejection message. The years I had spent believing he had abandoned me. The coldness in his eyes when I walked into that hotel room. I took a step backward instead. Magnus's expression changed immediately.

Pain crossed his face before he quickly covered it with anger. “Finn, what happened to you?” he demanded.

I looked down at my paws and then back at him. “I don't know,” I said through Lunar. “But I know someone tried to keep me from finding you.”

Magnus's jaw tightened. “Who?”

The kneeling wolf suddenly made a desperate sound behind me, and when I turned, he was gone.

I spun around, but the street was empty. Only a small trail of blood remained where he had been kneeling. Magnus's men immediately spread out, searching the alleyways and nearby buildings, but there was no sign of him. Magnus walked toward me slowly. This time he did not try to command me. He stopped several feet away and simply stared. His eyes moved over my silver fur, my glowing eyes and the strange markings that had appeared across my shoulders. I could see the questions building in his expression.

“Moonblood,” he finally whispered.

I did not understand the word, but the reaction of everyone around him told me it mattered. One of his men took a frightened step backward. Another immediately lowered his head.

Magnus looked at them sharply. “You know what this means?” he asked. Nobody answered.

His voice became colder. “I asked you a question.”

His head of security finally swallowed and said, “Alpha, if the old records are correct, there hasn't been a Moonblood wolf in centuries.”

Magnus's eyes returned to me. “That's why they took you.”

My heart seemed to stop. Lunar became completely silent inside my mind. Magnus took another step toward me, but this time I did not move away.

“Finn, your disappearance wasn't about me,” he said. “It was about what you are.”

I stared at him, trying to understand how he could possibly know something I had spent my entire life not knowing. “Then tell me,” I said. “Tell me what they did to me.”

Magnus opened his mouth, but before he could answer, a sharp pain tore through my chest. I collapsed onto the pavement. Lunar screamed inside my head as images flooded through me. A dark laboratory. Silver chains. Needles. A glass chamber filled with pale blue liquid. Someone standing behind the glass, watching me struggle. I saw a man's hand resting against the control panel, and on his finger was a ring bearing the symbol of Magnus's family. Then the image changed. I saw myself younger, terrified and crying while someone whispered that if Magnus ever found me, they would kill him. I tried to scream his name, but another image forced itself into my mind. A second wolf stood beside me in the darkness. His fur was black. His eyes were gold. He looked at me with an expression that felt strangely familiar.

  • Claimed My Alpha Stepbrother And His Rival    Unfinished Longing

FINNThe car was quiet the whole way back to Magnus’s house. I sat in the passenger seat with my arms wrapped around myself, still shaking. My hands would not stop trembling. Every time I closed my eyes I saw the scarred wolf dropping to his knees and Magnus’s head bowing even though he tried to fight it. I had done that. I had made an Alpha King submit with one word.Magnus did not speak. He just drove with both hands tight on the wheel. The only sound was the low hum of the engine and my own uneven breathing. When we reached the house he parked and came around to open my door. I got out slowly. My legs felt weak. He walked beside me up the stairs without touching me, but I could feel the heat of him the whole way. At the door of the guest room that had become mine I stopped.Magnus turned to leave.“Wait,” I said. My voice came out small. “Please stay. I… I don’t want to be alone tonight. I’m still shaking. I’m tired and scared and I keep hearing that command in my head. Please just

  • Claimed My Alpha Stepbrother And His Rival    The Title They Gave Him

THIRD PERSON The night air felt cold against Finn's skin as he walked away from the hospital, his mind still full of everything his father-in-law had told him. He barely noticed the empty street around him, or the way the streetlights flickered every few seconds, or the low growl that rose from the shadows just behind the parked cars.He noticed when the first wolf stepped out in front of him.Finn froze. The wolf was tall and lean, with dark fur and yellow eyes that caught the streetlight in a way that made his stomach drop. Two more shapes moved out from the alley behind him, cutting off any chance to run."Well, well," the lead wolf said, his voice low and mocking. "Look who finally came out to play."Finn's heart pounded hard against his ribs. He took a step back, his hands raised slightly, though he did not know what good that would do against three rogue wolves closing in around him."I don't want trouble," Finn said, trying to keep his voice steady even though it shook."Troub

  • Claimed My Alpha Stepbrother And His Rival    Secrets in the White Room

FINNI sat beside the hospital bed with a cup of cold coffee in my hands, watching the slow rise and fall of my father-in-law's chest. He was getting stronger every day, the color coming back into his cheeks, his voice a little louder each time he spoke to me. I should have felt nothing but relief. Instead, a small, uncomfortable question kept circling in my head, one I could not seem to push away. How did he know so much about supernatural medicine? It had started as a tiny detail, something I barely noticed at first. But the more I thought back, the more it bothered me. He had never once acted surprised when I told him MC Pharma made medicine for supernatural people. He had never asked questions the way a normal human would. And every single time I tried to talk about my past, about the years I could not remember, he would change the subject fast, almost like he was afraid of where the conversation might go."You're quiet today," he said, his voice rough but steady. "Something on yo

  • Claimed My Alpha Stepbrother And His Rival    The Voice on the Phone

FINNI was sitting alone in the garden when the memory came back, and this time it did not fade away like smoke. This time it stayed, clear and sharp, like watching a movie I had somehow forgotten I was in.I remembered getting dressed that night. I remembered the small wooden box Magnus had pressed into my hands earlier that day, telling me to keep it safe until the presentation."Don't open it yet," he had said, smiling so wide it made my chest hurt just to remember it now. "Wait until tonight. I want to see your face when you see what's inside."I had held that box the whole walk toward the hall, my heart pounding with excitement instead of fear. I remembered thinking that in just a few hours, everyone would know the truth about us, and for the first time, I would not have to hide anything. Then I remembered seeing someone waiting near the garden path. Someone I trusted completely. My whole body had relaxed the second I saw their face, because back then, I never had a single reason

  • Claimed My Alpha Stepbrother And His Rival    Files That Should Not Exist

MAGNUSI sat in my office at MC Pharma with the lights turned low, staring at a computer screen that made my stomach turn. My head of IT stood beside me, nervous, shifting his weight from one foot to the other."Show me again," I said. "Slow this time.""Yes, Alpha," he said, his voice shaking a little. He clicked through a few screens until a long list of file access logs appeared. "Someone has been logging into the restricted research server. They used an old authorization code.""Whose code?" I asked, even though something cold in my chest already knew the answer. He hesitated. "Your father's, sir. His old administrator code. It was supposed to be deactivated the day you took over as CEO.""But it wasn't," I said."No, sir. It's still active. And it has been used many times since then. Even last week."My hands curled into fists on top of the desk. My father had stepped back from the company two years ago. He had no reason to touch these files. No reason at all, unless he was still

  • Claimed My Alpha Stepbrother And His Rival    The Hidden Room

FINNI woke up early that morning with a strange pull in my chest, like something was calling me from somewhere deep in the house. I could not explain it. I just knew I had to move.I got dressed quietly and walked down the long hallway, past the old paintings and the tall windows, until I reached the library. The morning light came in soft and gold through the glass, but my eyes were not on the books. They were on the back wall, where a tall wooden shelf stood covered in dust.I do not know how I remembered it. Maybe it was Lunar stirring inside me. Maybe it was some old piece of my childhood pushing its way back up. But I walked straight to that shelf and pressed my hand against the side of it, right where a small crack ran down the wood. The shelf moved. It slid to the side with a soft creak, and behind it was a narrow door I had never noticed before. My heart started beating fast."Finn?"I turned around and saw Magnus standing in the doorway of the library, his eyes wide with con
