LOGINIRIS POV:
The car kept moving north for what felt like forever. The highway slowly turned into narrower roads, then into private lanes lined with tall pines. No more billboards. No more lights from other packs. Just the soft glow from the dashboard. Finally, the Rolls-Royce slowed. Tall iron gates appeared ahead, opening automatically as we approached. Beyond them stretched an estate that took my breath away. Massive stone walls, perfectly trimmed hedges, fountains lit up with soft gold light, and a main house that looked more like a modern palace than a home. Everything screamed money and power. The kind only Trillionaires could own. As the car rolled to a stop in the circular driveway, men in black suits stepped out from the shadows. Bodyguards. At least ten of them. All holding guns, big ones, held low but ready. Their faces were hard, eyes sharp. They looked like they would shoot first and ask questions later. The driver opened Aurelian’s door. He stepped out calmly, like this was normal. The guards moved toward him fast. “Sir, you shouldn’t go out alone,” one of them said. “Especially not tonight. The protocols…” Aurelian raised one hand. “It’s fine. I just needed some air. A short drive. No issue.” The guards exchanged quick looks but stepped back. Aurelian started walking toward the house without another word. He forgot me. I sat there for a second, still in my ruined wedding gown, feeling stupid. Then I pushed the door open and stepped out. My heels clicked on the stone. The train of the dress dragged behind me like a heavy chain. “Aurelian,” I called. The guards spun toward me so fast I almost jumped. Their guns lifted just a little. Their eyes turned dark with anger, like I had no right to say his name out loud. One of them took a step forward, looking ready to grab me. Aurelian stopped. He turned slowly. “Easy,” he said to them calmly but boldly. “She’s a guest.” The guards lowered their weapons right away, but their faces stayed hard. They watched me like I was a threat. I swallowed and started walking. The gown dragged across the ground, picking up dirt and small stones. I felt small and out of place next to all this luxury. Aurelian waited at the top of the wide steps. When I reached him, he opened the huge double doors without a word. Inside, the house was even more impressive: high ceilings, marble floors, crystal lights that looked like falling stars. It smelled clean, like cedar and fresh rain. He led me up a curving staircase, then down a long hallway. We stopped at a door made of dark wood. He pushed it open. The room was huge. A massive bed with white sheets, a sitting area with soft chairs, a wall of windows looking out at the forest, and a walk-in closet that was bigger than my father's bedroom at our mansion. Clothes hung neatly, dresses, shirts, jeans, everything in simple but expensive fabrics. “Change into something comfortable,” he said. “Pick whatever you like.” I stood there for a moment, confused, wanting him to give me space or turn back or something rather than standing there looking at me. He looked at me, head tilted. “You can’t get out of that dress by yourself.” He was right. The back was full of tiny buttons and a tight corset tie. I had needed help even to put it on, but I didn't stand there for that reason. I stood there so he would leave, but he didn't. I turned my back to him slowly. My face burned. He stepped closer. His fingers moved slowly, unhooking my buttons one by one. He didn’t turn away. He didn’t act shy or polite about it. He just did it like it was nothing, like he had every right to look. When the dress loosened, he stepped back and sat in one of the chairs. He pulled out his phone and started scrolling, eyes on the screen. I let the gown fall to my waist. I stood there in my bra and underwear, arms crossed over my chest. I glanced at him. He was watching. Not staring openly, but peeking from the corner of his eye. When he saw me catch him, he didn’t look away. He just smiled a little, like he didn’t care that I noticed. My cheeks went hot. I turned fast and tried to untie the rest of the dress. My fingers shook. I couldn’t reach the last knots. He noticed. Without a word, he stood up and walked over. His hands came around me again from behind. He loosened the final ties. The dress slid down completely. Now I was almost naked. He didn’t step back right away. He stayed close. His eyes moved over me, slow, calm, like he was allowed to look as much as he wanted. Something in his stare made my stomach flip. Not fear exactly. Something else. I stepped back. He stepped forward. I stepped back again, and he stepped forward. My back hit the wall. He reached past me and pressed something behind my shoulder. A soft click. A hidden panel slid open, revealing a luxury bathroom, marble everywhere, a huge glass shower, gold fixtures. “You need a shower,” he said quietly. I didn’t argue. I ran into the bathroom like it was the only safe place left in the room. The door shut behind me. But it wasn’t a normal door. It was thick frosted glass. Blurry, but not completely private. I could see his shape standing on the other side, tall, still, watching. I was sure he could see me too. I turned on the water fast. Hot steam filled the air. I stepped under the spray and let it hit me. My skin burned from the heat, but I didn’t care. I scrubbed fast, trying to wash away the night, the ceremony, the video, the tears, everything. When I finished, I grabbed a thick white towel and wrapped it around myself tight. The glass door opened with a soft hiss. No handle on my side. Just his fingerprint, I realized. This was his room. His space. His rules. I stepped out, water still dripping from my hair. Aurelian stood there, closer now. “Tell me,” he whispered, “are you frightened of what happens inside you the moment I’m near?” I froze, the towel pressed against my chest. “I… I…” My voice trembled. He stepped closer, a smirk playing on his lips. My pulse spikes; it’s as if he can see right through me.Hey everyone,We’ve come so far, 190 chapters deep into this wild, emotional, and intense journey with Iris, Aurelian, and everyone else. NICHOLAS POV:I stepped inside and stopped walking for a second. The inside of the mansion was something else entirely. The ceilings were high, dark wood, everything was clean and expensive. The place looked like it had been built around one person's taste.Draven walked ahead of me to a cabinet against the far wall and poured into a glass and I walked over and stretched my hand out to collect it.He walked right past me like my hand wasn't there. He moved to the other side of the room and pulled his ring off his finger and set it inside a small drawer and pushed it shut. Then he turned back and took a slow sip from the glass himself.I looked at my own empty hand for a second then walked to the cabinet and poured myself a drink."Did he put up a fight?" Draven asked.I looked at him. "Who?""Paul," he said.I smirked. "He couldn't," I said. "Morveth didn't give him that chance."Draven stopped and looked at me."So that jerk finally found someone dumb enough to fall for his trap," he
IRIS POV:We had been driving for a long time when the border checkpoint came into view ahead. Two men were standing at the gate and as we slowed down they both moved toward the car. One of them leaned down toward the window and then stopped. He straightened up immediately and saluted."Sir," he said. "I didn't expect you to be moving through here by road.""I'm keeping it quiet," Aurelian said."Of course," the man said. He stood there for a second like he wanted to say something else. "Actually, funny enough, you're not the first one we've said that to today."Aurelian looked at him. "What do you mean?""The Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack," the man said. "He passed through this same checkpoint earlier. Said the same thing, keeping a low profile." He almost smiled. "I don't know what it is about this road today."Aurelian went very still beside me."He passed through here," he said."Yes sir," the man said. "About four hours ago. Had a woman with him in the front seat."Aurelian nodded
NICHOLAS POV:"How will he know?"'He may feel it,' Morveth said. 'After all, I was once in him before the curse was passed to Aurelian.'"Hmm."We'd been driving for hours when at last the borders came into view. The border checkpoint was quiet when we pulled up. Two men were standing at the gate and the moment one of them leaned down to the window his eyes moved to my face. And the moment he saw my face, recognition hit his face. He straightened up slightly."Alpha Nicholas," he said. "We weren't expecting you through here. Shouldn't you be on a private flight?""I'm keeping a low profile," I said.He looked at the car for a second then nodded and stepped back. The gate opened and I drove through.'Ask for the Draven mansion,' Morveth whispered inside my head."I'll find it," I said quietly.'Don't waste time, Nicholas. Aurelian is already on our trail, we have to get there fast. Draven is the final meal.'I kept driving. We moved deeper into the territory and the roads got busier a
SERAH POV:I was standing at the window when the car pulled in. I almost didn't believe it at first. I leaned closer to the glass and watched the door open and when I saw who stepped out my heart jumped into my throat."Stephen."I turned and ran. I took the stairs immediately, gripping the railing on the turn, and when I hit the bottom he was already pushing through the front door and I didn't slow down at all. I ran straight into him and wrapped my arms around him and held on."You're back," I said into his chest. He laughed and his arms came around me tight."I'm back," he said.I pulled back and looked at his face and then I hit his arm."You kept me waiting," I said."I know," he said, smiling."Don't do that again," I said."Okay," he said. Then he kissed me and I stopped talking. He pulled back slightly and looked at me and then without warning he bent down and picked me up and I grabbed his shoulders as he started walking toward the stairs."Stephen," I laughed. He didn't answ
IRIS POV:The gates were already open when we pulled in. Men dressed in black were standing around the entrance of the mansion and my eyes moved past them toward the grounds and I stopped walking."What the hell," I said.Bodies were everywhere. But they weren't fresh bodies and that was the thing that made my stomach drop. They were dried. Every single one of them lying on the ground looked like they had been dead for a hundred years, their skin pulled tight over their bones, their faces sunken, their clothes were still fresh but the people inside them completely hollow.I looked at Aurelian. His jaw was tight and he kept walking forward. We moved closer and the men in black were gathered around one spot near the entrance steps where a man was sitting on the ground wrapped in a blanket, shaking so hard it was visible from a distance. One of the men in black stepped toward Aurelian."He was left alive on purpose," he said quietly. "The killer spared him to pass a message to you."Aure
IRIS POV:I closed my bedroom door behind us.Sarah sat on the bed, and I sat beside her."You remember that morning," I said, "when Aurelian sent a box and there was a dress inside?""I remember," she said."And you remember the car that came at seven?""Yes.""I didn't tell you where it was takin
IRIS POV:I used to think staying calm in the worst situations could keep fear away. But here I am, speaking calmly while fear trembles inside me, making my legs shake on their own.I lay back on the bed and stared at the ceiling."Stay calm, Iris," my wolf whispered after days of silence.A bitter
IRIS POV:At exactly seven, a car pulled up outside my house.I was already by the window when it arrived. I had been ready for twenty minutes, but I had made myself sit down and wait because showing up early felt like admitting something I wasn't ready to admit yet.I picked up my bag and went out
IRIS POV:Caius looked down the table."The first matter," he said. "Edran."Edran straightened in his seat. He was three chairs down from Caius on the left side, and when he spoke, his voice sounded a bit furious, but he hid it."The northern coastal boundary," he said. "The Virex holdings have be
