Flora

It had been two weeks since it happened.

Since Leo cut off that man’s arm in the club.

Two whole weeks, and I still felt shaky every time I remembered it.

People talked. A lot.

Some said it was my fault. That I led the man on.

Some said Leo had gone mad.

Some stayed quiet but gave me strange looks when I passed by.

I didn’t blame them. If I wasn’t me, I’d think something was wrong with me too.

I stayed in my room most days. Kiran tried to cheer me up, but nothing really worked. I couldn’t sleep well. I couldn’t eat much. I felt trapped again.

Just when I thought I was getting stronger, everything fell apart.

And yet… a part of me didn’t feel angry at Leo.

I was confused.

I was scared of what he did, but I remembered the way he looked at me. Like he was in pain. Like he couldn’t help it.

Like he would do it again just to keep me safe.

I didn’t know what to do with that.

So I did nothing.

Until tonight.

I sat on the edge of my bed, holding a cup of warm tea. My hands were shaking,

The voices outside Valen’s pack house started small. At first, it sounded like a soft murmur in the distance, like people talking quietly. But within minutes, the noise grew louder and louder until it was impossible to ignore.Shouts. Complaints. Angry words carried by the wind.Valen stood in his office, his hands resting on the desk, trying to focus on the papers in front of him. But the noise kept pulling at his ears. His jaw tightened. Slowly, he pushed the chair back and walked toward the balcony doors. When he stepped outside, the scene below made his stomach twist.Dozens of pack members had gathered in front of the main building. Some were holding small bags and backpacks like they were ready to travel. Others stood with their arms crossed, their faces set in hard lines. A few women clutched their children’s hands tightly.Their eyes were all on him. And many of those eyes were filled with anger.Valen gripped the railing and looked down at them. “What is going on here?” His v

ValenI stared at the broken gate.Again.It was the fifth time.Another attack.Another silent warning.I took slow steps toward it, my boots crunching softly on the scattered gravel. The sharp smell of metal and burnt wood hung in the air.I crouched down and picked up a sharp blade that had been left behind. My fingers closed around the cold handle. It was strange, almost new, but what made my chest tighten was the mark scratched into the metal. It had my pack’s symbol, scratched in upside down.A clear sign of mockery. A sign that this wasn’t random. That whoever had done this knew who we were. They knew me.I clenched my jaw. My teeth pressed together hard as I stood up again. This wasn’t just an enemy trying to fight.No.This was personal.“Alpha,” my Beta, Hugo, said as he walked toward me. His voice was low, cautious. He stopped beside me and looked at the gate too.“They hit the south border this time,” he said. “Same method. Silent entry. No scent. No trace. Just like before

LeoSleep didn’t come .I could see the moon, bright outside, and wanted to feel some kind of peace, but it didn’t calm me. The room felt too quiet, too heavy. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw her,Flora. Her face when she said she wanted out of the agreement. Her lips after the kiss. Her eyes, so unsure.I sat up on the bed and rubbed my face. This was not going the way I planned. At first, it was just a mission. Gain Flora’s trust. Use the marriage as a shortcut. Get information on Valen’s pack. Destroy him from the inside out.But now? Now I wasn’t sure if I was doing this for the mission… or for her.I left my room and walked to the war room. Lucas was there, sitting by the map table. He was marking lines and trails with a pen.He looked up when he saw me. “You look like hell.”“I feel worse,” I said, sitting across from him.He waited. He didn’t speak, just gave me space to talk. After a while, I said, “Do you think Flora will ever trust me if I tell her everything? The full tru

FloraIt was late afternoon when I walked to Leo’s office. My heart was heavy. The leaves rustled beneath my feet. I had something hard to say.I knocked once. No reply. I knocked again. His voice, soft and steady: “Come in.”Inside, he sat behind his desk, reading reports. His face was calm, but something in his eyes shifted when he saw me. His pen paused on the paper. His whole body seemed to tense a little.I closed the door and walked slowly to him, each step heavy like my stomach.“Leo,” I said, voice small, very soft. “I… I don’t think I want to continue with our agreement.”He looked up, concern in his eyes. His eyebrows raised, as if surprised. “Why?”I sat on the chair opposite him and looked down at my hands. My fingers fiddled with the edge of my dress. I felt small. “I feel like you… you’ve taken it too seriously. It feels real now.”He frowned gently, eyes searching. “What do you mean?” His voice was calm but a shadow of fear lay under it.“You act so… possessive. You’re

LeoI sat on the balcony, looking out at the forest. The wind was cool, but it didn’t help the heat in my chest. My mind was heavy with thoughts, mostly about Flora… and my plan. She had been staying in the east wing of the mansion for two weeks now. Every day I wanted to go to her. Every day I stopped myself. It wasn’t the right time. She needed space. But now… the plan couldn’t wait anymore. The door creaked behind me.I didn’t turn. I knew it was Lucas by the way he stepped, slow but sure.He stood there for a while, maybe trying to think of what to say. Then, he cleared his throat. “I was stupid,” he said.I turned my head slowly. He walked closer, hands in his pockets. “I shouldn’t have walked out on you that day.”I nodded once. “You were emotional, I get it.”“So were you,” he replied. “But I should’ve handled it better.”I looked at him properly now. There was something about Lucas. He always spoke from the heart. That’s why we worked so well together.“You were trying to prote
