‎The church was packed. Flowers, crystal chandeliers, and hundreds of eyes watched me like I was on trial. I stood at the altar in my perfectly tailored suit, Haru beside me as best man, wearing that smug smile I hated more than anything.

‎My mother walked up to me one last time. She grabbed my tie and tightened it so hard I almost choked. Her voice was low and threatening.

‎“Do not disgrace this family. Marry Lila. Her father likes you. He’ll give us the new project when this is over. Don’t ruin everything.”

‎She let go, smoothed my jacket, and walked back to sit beside my father. I stiffened. Change your fate. Faye’s words kept echoing in my head. Could I? Did I dare?

‎Haru leaned in, still smiling for the guests. “Such a beautiful wife. Beneath those clothes she’s such a seductress. A panther. Never satisfied.”

‎Tears pooled in my eyes and fell freely. To everyone else, I looked emotional about marrying the love of my life. In truth, I was hurt, betrayed, unloved, and abandoned. Hate burned in my chest.

‎The music started. Everyone stood. Lila walked down the aisle with her father, looking radiant in white. When her father placed her hand in mine, he smiled warmly.

‎“Take care of my daughter.”

‎I forced a smile and nodded. As he walked away, I muttered under my breath, “My brother already does.”

‎Lila shot me a glare.

‎The officiant began the ceremony. When it was time for the vows, he asked us to repeat them.

‎“With this ring, I take thee with my heart, body, and soul. To love and to hold, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer…”

‎Lila recited hers beautifully, tears in her eyes. For a second, I almost believed her.

‎Then the doors at the back opened.

‎A tall man in a perfectly tailored black suit walked in, flanked by a man and a woman. That face… that build… the ring on his pinky, It looks familiar —not until he looked up, straight at me with those mismatched eyes, my heart stopped.

‎Shit. The stranger from that night. My one-night stand.

‎My resolve weakened. My breath quickened. My ears tingled.

‎“Ren… Ren… Ren!”

‎Haru pinched me hard. I almost cried out. I forced myself to recite my vows, voice shaky.

‎After we both finished, the officiant turned to Lila first.

‎“Do you, Lila Quinn, take Ren Banks to be your husband?”

‎“I do,” she said loudly, tears shining in her eyes.

‎Then he turned to me.

‎“And do you, Ren Banks, take Lila Moreau to be your wife?”

‎The church fell silent. Lila touched my cheek, faking love, trying to get me to answer. The touch irritated me so much, thinking back to the betrayal and lack of remorse.....such thick skin people. At last, something inside me finally snapped.

‎“Get your fucking hands off me, you disgusting cheating bitch!”

‎Gasps exploded across the hall. Lila’s mouth fell open. Ayesha jumped up from her seat, squealing and punching the air in excitement.

‎“I’m not marrying your ass!” I shouted. “You fucked my brother during our engagement and so many times before then, now you want me to act like nothing happened? If you like him so much, then be with him!”

‎Haru stepped forward. “What are you doing, Ren? Embarrassing Lila and the family like that?”

‎“Oh, shut your trap, you pussy-eating pig!” I snapped. “Thinking with your dick but never your brain!”

‎My mother raised her voice. “Ren!”

‎Lila’s father demanded to know what was going on. My own father marched up and gave me a resounding slap across the face.

‎Before I could react, the stranger from that night stood up. Ayesha ran to my side, getting between me and my father.

‎“You knew your precious first son was sleeping with Ren’s fiancée but you told Ren to get over it?” she shouted. “Some father you are!”

‎The argument exploded. Ayesha cursed my parents out, calling them monsters even the devil would take notes from. I finally shouted over everyone.

‎“It’s enough! No matter what, I won’t marry Lila. Since she likes Haru’s dick that much, they should be with each other!”

‎My mother grabbed my arm so tight it hurt. if it weren't for the long sleeve, I'm pretty sure I'll bruise.“You must marry her!”

‎“I won’t!” I yelled, pulling away. “Apart from her cheating… I love another.”

‎Haru laughed cruelly. “Who could fucking love you back, you pathetic excuse?”

‎My eyes searched the crowd and landed on those mismatched eyes. Without thinking, I ran to the stranger and hugged him tightly, whispering against his chest:

‎“Save me… please.”

‎The entire hall gasped.

‎Lila shouted, “What do you mean you love my stepbrother?!”

‎I looked up at the tall man with pleading eyes and said the words that would change everything:

‎“Marry me.”

‎ ‎Moving on to the next page still under Chapter One. ‎The Traffic Light System — yeah, I know this one. Kai used it on me last night. ‎The Traffic Light System is one of the simplest and most effective tools for safe, ongoing consent in any dynamic. ‎ ‎ Green = Everything is good, keep going. ‎Yellow = Slow down, check in, or ease up — something needs adjustment. ‎Red = Stop immediately. All activity ceases, and aftercare begins. ‎ ‎Important: While “Red, Yellow, Green” is the universal standard, lovers are always free to choose their own personal safe words. Some prefer “Stop,” “Slow,” and “Go,” others use unique words that feel more natural or meaningful to their relationship. The key is that the words are clearly agreed upon in advance, easy to remember, and respected without hesitation. ‎ ‎> “The color doesn’t matter. What matters is that the submissive’s voice is heard and obeyed instantly.” ‎ ‎This system reminds both Dominant and submissive that consent is acti

Kai’s POV I looked at Ren, still flushed from everything that had just happened, the information he seemed to still be absorbing. “So next, I’ll give you the book. It’s called 'The Submissive’s Path: 30 Fundamentals of BDSM.' After reading through the foundations, you’ll get a contract to review. Within this 15-day period, I’ll take note of your interest through our conversations, your body, and verbal responses. You can confirm them in the contract before signing. How’s that sound?” He responded softly, “Yes, Sir.” I walked out to the study, picked up the book, and came back, dropping it in front of him. The cover was a sleek grey with a striking image: a bare man blindfolded with silk ties, ropes binding his hands upward, wearing nothing but delicate lace panties, a paddle clenched between his teeth. His body glistened under the light. I watched the way his breath hitched, his fingers lingering on the image of the lace panties. I made a mental note to get him something simil

‎Kai’s POV ‎ ‎ ‎Just as I was pulling out plates for me and Ren, I heard Reya say, “Hey, sunshine,” and then Ren’s soft voice replying. Turning around was definitely not the best idea because what the fuck was he wearing? Just my t-shirt. I wasn’t even sure if he had anything underneath, but his legs were smooth and milky, bringing back vivid memories of the redness on his ass after I spanked him yesterday. I could hardly breathe or restrain myself from pressing him up against the wall or stripping him naked right there. ‎ ‎Plus, why did he have to wear so little in front of them? Not that I was bothered by Reya or Adrian, but Reya saw through it and called me a caveman. That damn woman. ‎ ‎I saw the way Ren tried to shrink into himself. I had every intention to walk over, smooth his hair, and lead him to sit and eat. But as I approached and lifted my hand to his hair, he jerked, his hands flying up to cover his face instantly. ‎ ‎The efficiency of it — the way his body autom

Ren's POV The next morning, I woke to warmth. Real, solid heat wrapped around me. I leaned in closer without thinking, snuggling deeper, rubbing my nose along it like I could absorb more. It felt safe. Addictive. A low, amused voice rumbled above me. “If you don’t want me to fuck you right here, you’ll stop that, kitten.” I jerked my head up so fast my neck nearly snapped. “I-I’m sorry! I didn’t mean—” Kai laughed softly, the sound warm and rich. “Don’t do that, darling. You have every right to. But until we get things right, try to avoid doing things that might make me fuck you, okay?” I nodded, looking down, cheeks burning. Was it really so horrible to fuck me that he’s trying to avoid it? A light flick to my forehead made me yelp. “Ouch!” “Serves you right,” he said, smirking, “for thinking wrongly.” He cupped my jaw gently. “I have some things to discuss with you—very important. Until I’m sure we’re on the same page, I don’t want to hurt you, okay?” “Okay, Sir,” I whispere

‎Kai’s POV ‎ ‎'Did my kitten just slip into subspace from spanking alone?' He doesn’t even know what it is. He must be so confused right now. ‎ ‎I felt his body loosen up around the sixteenth strike. That must have been the moment his mind turned off and he let himself get lost in the feeling — completely surrendering to me, as I felt him whimper and push his ass back on my palm while grinding on my thighs, desperately chasing his release. ‎ ‎I carefully picked him up, his limp, warm body heavy in my arms, and placed him under the duvet with his chest facing down. Grabbing the ointment from the nightstand, I gently applied it to his reddened, swollen ass. My fingers trembled slightly as I rubbed it in, feeling the heat still radiating from his skin. This should reduce the swelling, redness, and irritation. Tomorrow he’ll definitely have trouble sitting or wearing anything tight. ‎ ‎I just watched him sleep, my chest tight with something I didn’t want to name. Why had I impulsi

Ren’s POV Who knew a man who could wield a gun could be this soft? I had clearly assumed the worst. He had apologized for leaving me alone, fed me, and now… his room. Oh my gosh. It was insane. Dark tones everywhere, a massive queen-sized bed with dark blue velvet sheets, a chandelier carved like a rose above us, and a huge mirror on the ceiling directly over the bed. I didn’t even know what to think. “You’ll be staying in my room from now on,” he told me. “I don’t stay here much. I usually stay at the penthouse — the one you ran from that night. We’ll go back there soon.” I nodded, then asked softly, “Can I take a shower?” “You never have to ask me anything, kitten. What’s mine is yours.” Tears slipped down my face as I leaned into him. “You’re the first to treat me like I matter. It’s only ever been Ayesha who cared for me.” He kissed the top of my head. “I’m here until you don’t want me anymore.” I whispered against his chest, “I’ll never not want you.” He chuckled
