THE LEDGER: Consistency and Constant

The man's fading figure had finally vanished. Jerson sighed in solace and got up out of his bed. He pulled out the medical apparatus that the nurse assembled in his hand. He massaged his aching buttocks before he started to keep and organize his things. He then looked at the empty bed and snorted in avarice. He was feeling envious. Alec was discharged yesterday while they were keeping him locked up inside the hospital room. What a waste of time!

“You really don’t know how to listen.”

Jerson looked back at Vishnu. He didn’t hear Vishnu get inside the room nor did he hear Vishnu’s footsteps. Vishnu walked like how assassins did. The prosecutor didn’t make any noise when he was approaching him. It was silent and disturbing.

“If I were an ordinary person and an old man at that, I would probably die from a sudden heart attack because of you,” Jerson declared.
