Sam sat by the edge of the hotel bed, his laptop resting firmly on his lap as he studied seriously.

Thinking about Trudy would do him no good, so he decided to study as midterms were in a few days.

Since he has missed a lot of classes for the past few days, he has been studying for the past seven hours.

A knock came through the door and he paused, then waited and listened to make sure he wasn't imagining it.

But when the knock came again, he dropped his laptop on the bed and rose to his feet.

Wondering who it could be, he walked over to the door and opened it.

He was surprised to find Trudy by the door.

“Trudy!”

“Sam.”

He embraced her tightly.

“Where have you been?” He questioned, breaking the hug, “I was so worried. I kept thinking of the worst…”

Trudy touched his face, “Hey, I'm fine.” She said, “Nothing happened to me as you can see.”

“Where were you?”

“Can we head in first?” Trudy asked, “Then we can talk.”

“Okay.”

Sam stepped to the side, allowing Trudy to pass. He shut the door
