Chapter 80: heartbreak

The alarm clock struck at 5:30 am.

Joana stretched her body on the bed trying to get sleep off her eyes.

It has been a sweet rest and she wished the morning did not come too suddenly.

She yawned, closing her mouth.

Getting up from bed, she said a word of prayer as she had been taught by her late mom to do.

The smile on her face br try1oadened as she took her phone to call the love of her life; Shawn and waited for it to ring.

Life in Los Angeles is pretty lovely. The air and everything were different and she loved her new life there.

For once, Joana was happy to live independently. Although she missed her family she wanted that independence.

Back in Atlanta, she never believed the company would make her transfer an obligation but suddenly, she was called by her boss that a few changes were made in the company which affected her position and she had to leave that day.

Well, she had not regretted anything since her stay in Los Angeles because she felt at home and settled easily.
