I collapsed on the bed, tired from the day's work. It was only my second day of work, but I was finally starting to see what Matteo meant by demanding.

Yesterday, we had finished a bit before five, but today, I was dropped off at Jules' apartment by past seven.

But then again, the pay and the fact that I was working with Matteo were worth it.

"Girl." Jules joined me on the bed. "You seem tired."

"That's because I am, Juliet." I sassed. "I can't even think about quitting because the pay is very generous."

"Yeah, I'm looking forward to your first paycheck."

Jules was a writer, so she never really left the house. Recently, she developed writer's block and she didn't seem eager to overcome it. She only had one published book and was looking forward to publishing the next one.

"You know damn well that paycheck is going into the apartment."

"Speaking of the apartment, did you tell them yet? You came in this morning and rushed out of the house without speaking a word
