As soon as Cassandra left the room and closed the door behind her, my brother glared at me. "Why did you do that?" He asked going into her closet and coming out with a pair of sweatpants.

I was certain I'd find my clothes too if I went into her closet.

She had made it a habit of wearing our clothes whenever she came over. She didn't care that most of them were twice her size.

"Do what?"

"Why did you let her go?"

"I didn't exactly force her out of the door, Rowan."

"You might as well did. I didn't see you trying to stop her."

I sighed. I was seriously in no mood to deal with any of this shut but I understood that my brother was worried. "Look, Rowan. You have to understand that she is going through a lot right now and is taking it out on us."

"I know that."

"If you do, you also have to know that it's best we give her some space to figure things out. I don't want her to feel like we're meddling in her life too much. Besides, it's our fault she met her mother." I sho
