A club in downtown Miami was alive with neon lights and pulsating bass, the kind that seeped into the bones and made the night feel endless. Music thundered through the air, vibrating against glass walls and polished floors, while bodies swayed in synchronized chaos under shifting lights of violet and electric blue.

Tucked away in the lounge space sat four young women, effortlessly commanding attention without even trying.

Unlike the others drowning themselves in glitter and extravagance, they were dressed casually—simple dresses, fitted tops, understated heels—yet their natural beauty and confident aura made them the undeniable focal point of the club.

Anyone with a discerning eye could tell that this was not just another group of girls out for fun. There was ambition in the way they carried themselves, a quiet pride earned through years of struggle and perseverance.

They laughed freely, their voices weaving together like old memories and shared victories. This was not just a night out. It was a celebration.

Mia rose from her seat, her glass of wine lifted high as the music briefly dipped. Her smile was radiant, eyes glowing with pride as she scanned the faces of the women she called family. “Ladies,” she began, her voice warm but steady, “this toast is for us—the fiercest, freshest, and hottest college graduates this city has ever seen.”

She paused, allowing their laughter to ripple through the group, then turned her gaze toward one particular woman seated comfortably on the couch. Her smile widened, softening with sincerity.

“But most importantly,” she continued, her gaze settling on one woman in particular, “this toast is for our sister, our backbone, and our inspiration—the woman who is about to step into her destiny as becoming the next CEO of Axiom Corporation.”

Elena blinked in surprise, her lips parting slightly as emotion flickered across her face.

“I just want you to know,” Mia said, her tone deepening, “that we are incredibly proud of you. There’s no doubt—none at all—that you deserve every bit of this success after all the sleepless nights, sacrifices, and relentless hard work you put in. Just promise us one thing.”

Elena raised an eyebrow, amused.

“Don’t forget us when you’re sitting at the top of the corporate world,” Mia finished with a teasing grin. “Other than that, we’re with you until the very end of the road.” She raised her glass higher. “To Elena—and to us. Always.”

“CHEERS!”

Four glasses clinked together, crystal ringing sharply before the women downed their drinks in one go, laughter spilling freely.

Touched by the heartfelt speech, Elena stood up and wrapped Mia in a tight embrace. “Thank you so much, Mia,” she whispered softly into her ear.

Turning to face the others, Elena exhaled slowly, gathering herself. “You have no idea how much this means to me. I couldn’t have done any of this alone. Every time I wanted to quit, you were there. Every time I doubted myself, you reminded me who I was.”

She smiled softly. “And let’s be honest—you girls are like a stubborn infection I can’t get rid of even if I tried.”

“Hey!” Jessica protested dramatically. “That’s rude.”

“But accurate,” Stacy added calmly, sipping her drink.

Laughter filled the space again.

Elena truly meant every word. Through every failure, rejection, and late-night breakdown, her friends had been there. She trusted them completely, and she knew Mia’s words weren’t empty praise—they were truth.

“Oh please,” Jessica chimed in, rolling her eyes dramatically. “Your life would be absolutely miserable without us. And how do I know this?”

Elena glanced at her.

“Because we’ll make sure of it,” Jessica finished proudly.

“Don’t sell yourself short, Elena,” Mia added gently. “Your success is the result of your own determination. We just stood on the sidelines and cheered.”

Elena smiled, warmth filling her chest as she returned to her seat. “Well, in that case,” she said playfully, “you girls are going to need to cheer a little harder—because I have more good news.”

Jessica nearly choked on her drink. “There’s more?”

“Out with it already!” she urged, bouncing impatiently.

“Jessica, breathe,” Stacy warned, grabbing her from behind. “You’ll suffocate her before she gets the chance to tell us the surprise..”

Stacy muttered, tugging Jessica back.

Jessica laughed awkwardly. “Sorry—I got carried away.”

Elena chuckled. Jessica’s boundless energy was something they’d long grown accustomed to. “It’s okay,” she said, reaching into her purse.

Slowly, deliberately, she pulled out her hand—now adorned with a brilliant diamond ring that caught the club lights and scattered them in dazzling fragments. She lifted her fingers slightly, allowing it to glimmer before their eyes.

“Derrick proposed last night,” Elena said softly, her voice trembling with excitement. “And I said yes.”

For a moment, silence hung in the air.

Then sqeauks erupted.

The three women screamed simultaneously, drawing glances from nearby tables, though the pounding music quickly swallowed the noise.

Shrieks echoed through the lounge as the three women surged toward her, voices overlapping.

“You’re engaged?!”

“That ring—oh my God!”

“This is insane!”

“Yes,” Elena laughed, overwhelmed by their excitement. “I still can’t believe it myself.”

“Oh my God, it’s gorgeous,” Jessica gasped, grabbing Elena’s hand to inspect the ring like a prized artifact. “Derrick really didn’t hold back. I can tell this cost a fortune.”

“When did this happen?” Mia asked eagerly.

“Last night,” Elena replied, her smile glowing. “During our dinner date. I wanted it to be a surprise.”

“Well, consider us shocked,” Mia said, pulling her into another hug. “I’m so happy for you.”

Mia pulled her into another hug. “I’m so happy for you.”

“So when do we start wedding planning?” Jessica interrupted. “I’m talking dresses, venues, everything glamorous. I refuse to let you be anything less than the hottest bride in existence.”

Elena shook her head with a laugh. “Not just yet. I want to settle into the company first. You all know how much this position means to me.”

Stacy smirked. “Honestly, we were starting to think you’d marry your job instead. So I’m glad Derrick finally made a move.”

Elena giggled. “You can’t blame me. Those late nights paid off.”

“Well,” Jessica said, standing up and grabbing Elena’s hand, “tonight isn’t about work. We’re celebrating. All night.”

She dragged Elena toward the dance floor as the others followed, their laughter dissolving into the thunderous music. In a club already alive with noise, no one noticed them—but for Elena, the night marked the beginning of a future she never dared to dream would arrive so soon.

Gladys personally took charge of Elena's preparations, refusing to leave the task entirely to the younger maids. With the quiet confidence of someone who had managed the Castillo household for many years, she directed every detail with practiced precision, ensuring that nothing appeared rushed despite the number of servants moving about the room. One maid carefully prepared a warm bath infused with lightly scented oils, another laid out an assortment of elegant evening dresses upon the bed, while two others busied themselves arranging jewelry and accessories that had been selected from the estate's extensive collection. Throughout the entire process, Gladys remained composed, occasionally offering brief instructions or making subtle adjustments whenever she felt something failed to meet her expectations.Elena allowed herself to be led through the preparations with quiet reluctance. Although she disliked every second of allowing strangers to fuss over her appearance, she knew there

The words had barely left Elena's mouth before an uncomfortable silence settled over the room.Every maid present instinctively lowered her head, their expressions subtly changing as though they had just heard something they never expected anyone within the estate to say aloud.Even Gladys, whose composure had remained unwavering since entering the room, allowed the smallest flicker of surprise to pass through her eyes."...With Kaiser?" Elena repeated, still struggling to believe what she had heard. A faint frown creased her forehead before she let out a soft scoff. "That maniac actually wants to have dinner with me?"Several of the younger maids visibly stiffened. One of them even inhaled sharply before quickly lowering her gaze further, afraid that merely hearing such words might somehow implicate her.Gladys, however, neither frowned nor displayed any sign of offense. Remaining as poised as ever, she took a small step forward and addressed Elena in the same calm, courteous voice.

Meanwhile, completely unaware that the entire household had quietly begun preparing for an unexpected dinner at Kaiser's request, Elena remained inside her room with her thoughts hopelessly tangled around the brief encounter she had experienced only minutes earlier. She was still standing beside the window, although her attention had long since drifted away from the beautiful scenery outside. Instead, her mind kept replaying the same humiliating moment over and over again. The instant Kaiser had lifted his head. The way his eyes had seemed to look directly toward her window and the utterly embarrassing way she had reacted. A faint groan escaped her lips as she covered her face with both hands. "What was that..." she muttered to herself. The more she thought about it, the more ridiculous she felt. She had hidden not simply stepped away from the window, not calmly walked back into the room. She had practically thrown herself beneath the windowsill like a frightened child caught st

The polished marble floor echoed softly beneath Kaiser's footsteps as he crossed the grand foyer with the same composed authority that seemed capable of bending the atmosphere around him. The moment he stepped through the entrance, every servant within sight instinctively lowered their heads in greeting, and even those who had been quietly conversing only moments earlier immediately fell silent before returning to their duties with renewed efficiency. No orders were given, no reminder was necessary, because after years of serving under the master of the estate, everyone had unconsciously learned that his mere presence demanded discipline. Waiting just inside the entrance stood a woman dressed in an immaculate black-and-white maid uniform whose appearance carried none of the nervousness displayed by the younger servants. Although she had reached her mid-forties, Gladys possessed an elegance born from years of experience rather than youth, and the calm confidence reflected in her

Two days had passed since Elena's confrontation with Kaiser. The memory of that conversation continued to linger vividly in her mind, replaying itself whenever silence settled over the room, yet the man responsible for turning her life upside down had vanished as though he had never existed. Since walking out after declaring that she belonged to him, Kaiser had neither returned to see her nor sent anyone to relay a message on his behalf, leaving Elena alone with nothing but her thoughts and the steady passage of time.At first, she had assumed his absence was another calculated tactic designed to wear down her resistance, but as the hours stretched into an entire day before eventually becoming two, confusion gradually replaced her certainty. She had expected more arguments, more attempts to convince her, or perhaps another clash of wills similar to their previous encounter, yet none of that happened. Instead, the room remained quiet, the corridors outside equally peaceful, and the

Vincent studied her for a moment. Then turned away slightly, walking back toward the couch. For a brief moment, he said nothing when he finally spoke, his voice carried something different. “Even if I wanted to release her,” he said calmly, “I can’t.”Jessica froze. “What do you mean?”Vincent glanced over his shoulder. “Elena Jefferson is no longer in my custody.”The words hit the room like a second shockwave.Stacy blinked.Jessica frowned in confusion.Mia slowly straightened again, her expression tightening. “What are you saying right now? “Then where is she?” Stacy demanded.Vincent’s expression remained unreadable. “She is safe,” he said simply. “But she is not here.”Because for the first time since this entire nightmare began—They realized Vincent Ross was not their final answer. He was only another door. And whatever was behind it… was worse than they expected.Mia’s brows knitted tightly as Vincent’s words settled in the air, and after a brief silence she finally spoke, h

That same night, while the city drowned itself in neon and indulgence, a black Bentley rolled silently through an industrial district far removed from glamour. The vehicle came to a smooth stop in front of a small warehouse squatting at the edge of the docks, its rusted exterior deceptively modest.

Across the room, Mia and Stacy noticed the exchange. At first, they hadn’t been concerned—Kaiser looked composed, respectable even. But when they saw Elena struggling to free herself, alarm set in.The music was too loud to hear anything clearly, but Elena’s discomfort was unmistakable. With Jessic
