CATHERINE POV
I am so happy Adam ignored my whining and made me eat in the restaurant. The food was great and I enjoyed every last bit of it.
"Thank you." I said as I looked at him.
"For what?" He asked, with his gaze tightly fixed outside the window.
"For the food, it was delicious."
For the first time in 15 minutes we were in the car. He turned to me with a smile on his face. Then without warning he cupped my hand in his.
"Catherine, I want to apologize for my rude behavior earlier in the jet. I shouldn't have behaved in such a way towards you. I am very sorry."
His apology touched my heart deeply. I didn't realize when my eyes were tearing up until a tear drop touched my hand.
"Thank you, your apology means so much to me than you can ever imagine."
"Ohm about the ring, you see.." Adam was about to lie but his grandmother cut him off immediately."Don't you dare lie to me boy, are you guys even dating at all?" Eunice looked between I and Adam with eyes searching for answers."Of course Grandma! You see the engagement thing kind of started off on a wrong foot but now we are fine, right?" He turned to me. And I responded with a nod."First thing tomorrow morning, I promise grandma I will go get her the finest engagement ring there is because she deserves only the best." Adam looked at Catherine as he said those words, making her blush. But Eunice wasn't still satisfied with his response, she just frowned at them."My baby!" A female voice echoed, ending the awkwardness of the whole engagement situation.Catherine turned towards the sound of the voice as she saw a woman in her 40's probably 44 c
Before I knew what was happening, I had almost eaten half of my food on my plate. It was delicious, Naomi is a great cook. "Did you make all this amazing food all by yourself?" I had to ask to confirm. Because it tastes like something only a professional will cook. "Yes my dear, are you enjoying your food?" Asked Naomi as she smiled at me. "Yes, it is very delicious. You are a professional." I complimented her, making her smile even more. "Thank you. After I lost my husband, I needed something to distract me a little and cooking is one thing I love doing. So I enrolled in a cooking school. It helped me greatly by lifting my heavy heart and enhancing my cooking skills." "I am so sorry about your loss." Instantly I regretted complimenting her cooking skill. Because of me she is forced to remember the death of her husband. "You don't need to ap
At the ninth ring, Kylie finally answered the call and her voice sounded so sleepy like she just woke up. "Hey babe." "Where have you been," I snapped. I can't believe how much I missed her, it is making me angry and she didn't even bother to give me a call or leave a message. "I have been trying to reach you but not available every time. So what is up with you?" "Hey won't you greet me first, your only best friend in the world before you start your interrogation like you're some detective?" I am not with her but I am sure she rolled her eyes after she said that. "That is because you don't deserve sweet pleasantries. When I needed you the most you were not there." I frowned as I remembered the past event I had been through since I last saw her. "Aww, I am sorry baby. Tell me what's up with you?" "No you tell me what is up with you?" I
"What! You say what?" Kylie needed to be double sure that she heard correctly."Yes Kylie I am in Korea..""No, that is not what I find shocking." Kylie cut her off. "I am more surprised that he took you to see his parents. "Wow! Lucky you and not to mention, so soon too?"Catherine chuckled. "Yes Khloe and do you want to hear something funny?""Yeah girl spill it out.""Adam actually lied to me at first." Catherine paused a little, letting Kylie digest the information before continuing. "But he apologized later on for his mistake.""Okay, so what did he lie about?""At first, he pretended we were actually coming for a business trip not knowing it was to meet his grandma who has been pestering him to bring home a woman."Oh, I see," Kylie chuckled."You see what?" I furrowed my brow questioningly trying to understand what she was driving at."You know, the whole family thing.""Okay so what about it?" To me it felt like Kylie was giving only half inf
ADAM POV "Hey son." Eunice called as she saw Adam walk out of his room angrily. "Please grandma not right now." He tried to walk past her but she stopped him by holding his hand. "What Is wrong? Tell me son." She looked at him with her eyes pleading for her grandson to open up to her. "You never hide things from me, so what is wrong?" "It is nothing grandma, I just want to be left alone." He insisted but she didn't budge. "I won't leave you not when you are upset. Is it Catherine? Did you have a fight with her?" She inquired trying to understand why her grandson is so upset. "Alright, fine I will tell you. But will you let me have a sit at least?" "Okay. Come to my room, I don't want your mother to see you in this state she won't be happy. She is already finally starting to loosen up and be happy after countless
"There you are, son." His mother called after him when she sighted him in the passage. "I have been looking everywhere for you, where have you been?" Without letting him speak she cut him off. "Anyway, forget that. You didn't tell me you were bringing another female guest, especially the one you know I don't like." She muttered the last part to him"Female guests?" While he was trying to remember who the female guest might be Kendal's voice rang through the passageway interrupting his thought."Baby!" She squealed, "You kept me waiting." Kendal ran to him excitedly to embrace him. "I missed you so much."Naomi frowned at the sight before herFrom the moment Kendal stepped into the house asking for her son Naomi has been frowning. When she saw Catherine she was so happy thinking her son had finally gotten rid of this wench called Kendal. Her whole mood became sour ju
"What?" He asked in disbelief, staggering backwards a little. "This can't be happening." "Yes it is, and the sooner you realize it the better for you." Kendal said with confidence before walking away from him so he won't grab her again because the place he held her is still hurting terribly. The color drained from Adam's face and he stopped thinking as the implication of what Krystal said dawned on him, he was going to be a father and much worse the horrible woman before him will be the mother. The whole thing made him angry and Adam wished he had done things differently. The chewing sound of her gum Kendal made brought his attention back to her. As he looked at her, Adam couldn't process his feelings if it was hate, anger, or resentment. Then he finally concluded that it was all. Adam loathes her and if there is another word used in describing something more mean th
"Grandma, it is Catherine." "Yes, what is wrong with her?" Eunice was starting to worry with the way Adam wasn't saying anything. "Tell me please what is going on?" "I.." He stutters, not sure where to start from. Just then, Eunice noticed the presence of a third person. "And who is she?" Eunice knows her face looked familiar but can't remember where she saw her. "H.. her name is Kendal and the reason behind all this mess." "What do you mean boy? Who is Kendal?" Walking close to her, Kendal stretched her hand towards Adam's grandma and introduced herself since he was hesitating. "The mother of Adam's unborn child." "What?" Eunice gasped in shock, almost choking as she coughed seriously. "Grandma are you okay?" Adam r
