Amairah Garcia's POV:
The moment my eyes fell on him I felt my heart pounding inside my throat. He could sense my scent as I had to stay as far away from him as I could. I tried to hide between the curtains as everyone around me knelt down in front of him until he sat on his throne. He was in his usual black cardigan with golden buttons enhancing the dominancy of his fitted suit.
I felt his eyes scanning the whole room as if there was a feeling deep inside me that he was trying to sense my presence. He closed his eyes for a moment but then opened them after a while as he couldn't feel anything. With a frown he opened his eyes as he stood up from his throne looking at the people.
"To all the people of the Fated Kingdom the face of your Queen would reveal toady. I as a King, want to say to you people that you don't have to scared of anything. You are part of Dark Spades now and I want you to be fearless. No matter what she is she is still your Queen. We have to be fearless if we want to win the war against the Eastern Howls. You have to prepare yourself for everything and we would start from now." He said giving a last glance to the general as he understood he wanted him to accomplish his task.
General shook his head at the herald as he got the signal when he announced. "The former Queen of the Fated Kingdom Amairah Garcia is here." His voice echoed in the hall as listening my name from someone else's mouth felt so foreign to me.
The doors of the great hall opened as my breath hitched. They were presenting someone else as a Queen as me. I looked at the general as drop of sweat trickled down his temple but his face was slack, devoid of any emotion. He was looking scared of revelation of the truth.
I glanced again at the entrance to see a dark figure appearing.
Everyone in the room gasped as they took a step back fearing her presence. Many people didn't look at her but still they wanted to see the face of the Queen. I spotted Zoya and other workers of the kitchen as she was dominant while looking at the King.
The lady entered the great hall as she was clad in all black even her hands were covered. There was a large black veil covering her face while reaching her waist. It was a net cloth with flowers on it as I could see the slight glimpse of her face through that transparent piece of cloth.
Two guards were guarding her from behind as there were chains in her hands with each side grabbed by the guards.
She stopped in the centre of the great hall just beneath the sparkling chandelier. There was a deadly silence in the room as I could hear my breathings out loud.
"Reveal your face." That grey eyed man's voice echoed as everyone was feeling as if the seconds were passing like hours along with me.
The fake queen grabbed the hem of her veil as she raised it upwards to throw it behind her back. Her face revealed as my mouth fell open.
Amber. The food lady.
She was the only one who cared for me and now she would be killed because of me. My mind was in haze as I didn't know what to do.
"She isn't ugly."
"She is beautiful."
I heard the crowd murmuring as it was a shock to them that the Queen they thought would be the ugliest one turned out to be beautiful. I knew they must be talking about me when it came to ugly as indeed Amber was beautiful.
"We have met before but still it's nice to meet you officially" The grey eyed man said he stepped down from his throne and moved towards her with his sword dragging with him.
"My bad! Couldn't introduce me before." Amber said as people started whispering after hearing her voice. She bowed her head slightly at him as if she didn't want to do that.
"My bad! I couldn't decide your end then." The King said as everyone was waiting for the decision.
"Why people are so scared of you?" He asked looking at her from top to bottom.
"People get scared of the things they can't understand." She answered confidently.
"Foolish people get scared of things they don't understand because they don't know how to control them." He smirked while answering as if many things were going on inside his mind.
"My people aren't foolish. They survived living in peace since ages." She answered sounded like she was offended.
"Yes, by killing everyone they couldn't understand but now the peace is gone. You must have heard about the war." He asked rolling the sword in his hands. Everyone in the great hall was listening to their conversation in that pin drop silence.
"You must have a purpose for that and I dare not ask." She answered looking directly at him in the eyes.
"Yeah you shouldn't as you are losing your authority. We shall move towards the decision." He turned around to see the General as he was standing with blank expressions. He was scared of him as everybody was but still he was trying his best to save me being loyal to my mother.
"Yes sir." The general said as everyone even the advisors stood from their respective seats and folded their hands for the decision.
I saw her removing the covers from her hands as if preparing herself for the decision that is when I noticed my ring in her fingers. A proof for everyone that she was the real Queen.
Something inside my chest was breaking up. The General asked me to stay behind but I didn't think that was the right choice. If he found me he would probably kill me so I shouldn't risk her life for me.
Many emotions were swirling inside my chest seeing my own people waiting for my death. They hated me.
"I, the King of Dark Spades, announces..." Everyone was listening to his words.
Anger for the King, hate for my people and fear for Amber built a mixture of emotions in my chest as I suddenly felt something weird. I glanced down at my nails that were turning blue. It felt like as if a blue smoke was coming out of it. I swiftly saw my reflection in the crystals hanging down the wall to see my eyes turning blue too as if surrounded by blue mist.
A new wave of panic surged through my veins as I hid behind the curtain hiding my face but I could hear his voice.
"...that the former Queen of the Fated Kingdom would be married to the army general of werewolves Kaz Mal."
What?
"What? No. You better kill me then." I felt rage and fear in Amber's voice as she got panicked for the first time. She was ready to be killed but not to become a bride of Kaz.
I suddenly felt something was burning as I glanced down to see the curtain I was grabbing was on fire. I tried to blow it down but it intensified. I couldn't do anything other than running from there so I did.
Author's POV:
"She isn't ugly." Conner whispered in Kaz’s ears who were staring at Amber's face with blank expressions. She was the one he collided with the other day.
"She indeed isn't." He absorbed every feature of her face trying to understand why the Queen of the fated Kingdom was roaming freely in the corridors that day.
"She looks like a human. Nothing so dangerous about her." Conner whispered again as Zackarya was having a conversation with her obviously trying to reveal what was so scary about her that made her own father to cage her in the room.
"She isn't." Kaz said as his gaze was scrutinized at her face.
"What do you mean?" Conner looked up at him as he had stoned expressions making him get alarmed a little.
"She is an omega but she hasn't turned into one since ages so that's not obvious." Kaz threw a bomb at him as he looked again at her face.
"How do you know?" Conner asked trying to sense her aura but nothing came out.
"Because she is my mate." Kaz announced with blank expressions as Conner's eyes widened.
"It’s fine that you didn't touch her or otherwise it must be painful for you." Conner asked with eyes fixed on him comprehending whether he wanted his mate or not. She was beautiful but she was not Kaz's type. He thought he must have rejected her already.
"Yes we collided." He answered as Conner wanted to smack his head at the pillar behind him.
He really whished Zackarya to hold for one day or otherwise Kaz would collapsed in front of everyone. His best friend was going to kill his mate. That was ironic.
"...would be married to my army General Kaz Mal." He announced as their eyes widened. The guards dragged her away through the chains as she kept screaming that she would rather die but won't marry him.
The general felt a pang of relief in his chest as before he could look up to see Amairah they heard noises.
"Fire."
"Fire"
The soldiers ran towards the source as the General's face turned white but he couldn't leave from there.
"You can't force me to marry." Kaz hissed harshly when they exited the great hall while moving towards the conference room.
"Well she is your mate." Zackarya smirked looking straight.
Conner and Kaz shook their heads as they forgot that he could listen to them from afar.
"Well you have a mate too." Conner said as Kaz shook his head agreeing with his stance.
"I would decide soon what I am going to do with her too." His smirk grew.
Amairah Garcia's POV: I ran into the kitchen as fortunately no one was in there. I don't what to do as this type of thing has happened to me before but it wasn't intense like this before. It mostly happened when I was sick or was drowned deep in emotional pain. Even I didn't feel this way when I heard about the King's demise as it happened often. I was feeling this change in my body for a quiet long but I still have to figure out what it was. May be this is the reason I could surge bad luck into my Kingdom. But I myself don't what it is but one person would definitely know it. General. It seemed like he was stuffed with secrets whenever I look into his wise eyes. I drowned my hands in the bucket of water as the water was cold enough to numb my hands causing the blue mist to die down. I glanced at the hands as they were back to normal but my breathings were still harsh. I had to calm down and take control of it since I am out of my room. "...she wasn't ugly." I abruptly straightene
"Make this heat go away." His rough baritone voice reached my ears as my eyes widened. "I don't know how to do it?" I lied while mumbling as his smirk was all the same with his eyes focused on me."I will teach. In fact most of the work is mine. You don't have to do anything." He said as his eyes were getting darker and so was the heat between us. Like me I thought he also was getting uncomfortable by the heat. It sometimes made me lose focus as now he was near the heat wouldn't go away so easily."You will leave me then?"I asked while pushing myself more into the tree. I tilted my head in hope swirling in my eyes."Yeah." I felt suddenly that it was wrong. I have read bible and wasn't it a sin? I can't do a sin for the sake of my freedom as immediately regretted thinking about agreeing to his demands."No..." I said way more firmly. "It's a sin." I knew everything about how to remove the heat between the mates as I spent most of day with Zoya. She was obsessed with her new King as
"...but I never said she is human." His eyes were boring into mine as I felt everything around me turning into ashes. I got exposed in front of everyone as that was my biggest nightmare. People of Fated Kingdom hated them who they couldn't understand and now all that hatred was becoming my fate I guess. "She is a lightener." The bed guy exclaimed looking at me mesmerized. Everyone was taken aback except Zackarya and General because they knew the truth. I knew about general but how did Zackarya got to know this? Even he was the Alpha but he couldn’t sense that."I wonder why you caged your Queen because her maid is more dangerous than her." Zackarya was looking amused seeing my form clad in that blue mist. His eyes were gleaming as if he was proud of me. My heart was beating dramatically slow as the blue mist was constantly enveloping my body until it reached my eyes. "You have one of the most dangerous powers of a witch. How did you manage to make a lightener obey you?" Kaz stated
"You seriously got the bed in your cage. Who was ruling at that time?" Me and Amber were standing ignoring people eyes carrying fear in them for me when the bed guy appeared from nowhere."It was the bedroom." I admitted as he wasn't looking much amused but still tasked his tongue as if remembering something."Well let me introduce myself officially I am Conner Mal. Kaz and me have same surnames because we belong to the same orphanage." He explained as there wasn't any pain in his voice while saying that he didn't have parents. "I am also an orphan." Amber said looking directly at him in the eyes when Kaz approached us."We should get going. Nice to meet you Your Highness." He placed his hand against Amber's lower back and greeted me at the end."Nobody can force you for anything. Be brave." Amber muttered ever so smoothly in my ears before she left giving me strength with her eyes. "You didn't tell me who was ruling at that time?" Conner asked as I assumed he had nothing else to do
The chirping of birds was always like an alarm for me to get early in the morning but unlike other mornings I wasn't feeling fresh. My brain was throbbing in pain as if someone was hammering on it. Groaning I straightened up as I glanced at my surrounding to make the events of last night run in flashback in front of my eyes.I glanced down at me as a loud gasp left my mouth after finding myself still in my inner wears. The duvet was on me but the thought of me sleeping the whole night like this made me bit my lower lip.Did he sleep here last night too?The bed sheets beside me weren’t crumbled so I came to conclusion that he didn't.The moment I sighed in contentment the door of my room burst opened taking me off guard as I swiftly covered myself with duvet. Those were my maids as they should have knocked. Shouldn't they?"We brought you a doctor. Please." The maid informed as she signalled a woman standing beside them to come and check me."No I am fine." I just fainted because I c
"Is it true?" Amber and Oren were making me wear my greyish furry coat when I exited the castle through the main door. I heard Zackarya's voice as I moved forward to see a man knelt down in front of him. Amber and Oren didn’t follow me as I had to go on my own from there. His face was clean but there were tiny drops of sweat trickling down his forehead even in that cold weather. He was probably scared of Zackarya standing before him with a dominant aura surviving him. He was just gazing into that man's eyes who was too scared to even say a word. "I-I...no..." The man stuttered as the next thing I could remember with my clear mind was Zackarya’s sword removing that person's neck from his body. He put his sword back as his men took the dead body away. There was blood all over there as I saw Zackarya turning around. He gave the expression as if he was shocked seeing me but I knew why he did that. He saw me disobeying him before and now he was warning me. He was cruel and ruthless as A
"Zackarya." I screamed his name at the top of my legs as I was more scared of the people coming in my way. The horse went out of control all of a sudden as I couldn't even look behind because of the speed it was running with. I might have lost balance that's why I had to keep gripping his hairs."Your Highness. You can give me your hand." My eyes closed in a thin line when I heard someone's voice behind me.I looked beside me to find an old man looking in his fifties following me with his horse. He was forwarding his hand for me to grab as I nodded my head in fear."Don't be scared. You can trust me." He persuaded again as I looked forward to see the horse was entering into the forest.I didn't have any other option as I found courage which was hard to do. I glanced at the old man and then at the horse before placing my hand on his. He grabbed me instantly as when I thought I would fall down he pull me up making me jump on his horse. My hand got scratched by the sharp tree trunk whil
"How werewolves remove their heat?" I asked as soon as I entered the gallery where Oren and Amber were busy taking tea."What?" The tea almost spilled out from Amber's mouth as she looked at me with wide eyes. I just came back to palace without giving another glance to Zackarya. Taking his name in pure consciousness felt for foreign to my mouth as his expressions made me shiver. I was glad he didn't say or do anything on our way back home. But this whole ride made me realize that the kiss wasn't the procedure to reduce the heat. Whenever I thought about my heat it just only intensifies."Well..." Oren shared a look with Amber as they both were contemplating how to tell me and that was irking my nerves even more. Why I am so stupid? Because you were caged for nineteen years reading fairy tales. My conscience answered me as that was true too and it wasn't my fault. "Don't we have to do that deed for that?" I asked while sitting beside them as they also sat after me. "What deed?" Am
