A year ago, Anna had everything—a family, a perfect life, and a loving boyfriend. But one fateful night, everything shattered into pieces and she became all alone in this world with nobody to run to.

She was born into a powerful and wealthy family as her father owned one of the largest conglomerates in the USA. She recalled a time when her parents were madly in love with each other. However, things took a turn when she was ten. Her mother left home after a heated argument with her father. After that, her mother never returned. That day she not only lost her mother but also her father.

Anastasia’s life turned into a battleground of legal battle– choosing which parent to stay with. However, nobody had much of a choice when the person was one of the most powerful people in the country. Her mother couldn't win the custody case and she had to stay with her father, which meant she would never see her mother again.

When Anna was eleven, her father introduced her to his new wife. Accepting her stepmother was difficult, but accepting her new stepsister, Regina, was even harder.

Regina competed for everything ranging from everything Anastasia owned to her father’s attention. She often succeeded at the expense of Anastasia's standing.

Fortunately, Regina and Anastasia attended different high schools. There, Anastasia met her perfect partner, only to lose him when Regina’s scheming drove a wedge between them.

Regina had taken the last of Anastasia’s happiness when they were in their senior year of high school.

A scandal erupted when Anastasia was accused of hosting a drug party. Her half-naked photos were circulating online with boys rubbing against her. Two boys were also hospitalised due to drug overdoses.

Her father’s rage was greater than the punishment that the law had given her.

“What is this, Anna?” Harold’s voice was thunderous as he questioned her. “A drug scandal? Do you realise the damage you have done to my reputation? Do you know how much money I will have to spend to keep it under wraps?! You are just like your mother! Good for nothing! Causing losses to me all the time!”

“You’re only worried about money, Harold!” Anastasia retorted. Her tears of anger and pain streamed down her face. She could not believe that her father believed the nonsense devised by a teenager so easily! None of them were true!

She did not host such a party. Yes, she did host a party but it was to make Damien jealous! He knew that she needed him but he chose to help Regina over her! She was jealous and mad with anger. She did the most stupid thing that she could. She broke up with him in a fit of anger and threw a party to get his attention! She didn't know that things would turn so bad.

Harold slapped her. “You will not disrespect me!”

Anastasia looked at her father as he didn't shy away from inflicting violence on her. He was a neglectful father but he never used physical force against her. A hurt and prideful Anastasia couldn't accept it.

Her bloodied lips were silent as her father announced, “You will pack your bags and move to Australia until I decide otherwise.”

“I’m not going anywhere,” She murmured through her pain.

“You will, or I’ll disown you!”

With those harsh words, She packed her belongings and moved to Australia on her father's orders.

However, as she turned eighteen, she left Spencer's family. She disowned that family before they could do anything. In a foreign country, she was alone and her life was in tatters.

The only regret she carried while leaving her old life behind was the boy she lost due to Regina’s scheming. More than scheming, she realized that she would never be enough for him. No matter what she does, Regina will always be the number one in his heart. She could not spend her life competing with the person she loathed.

Months later, Anastasia managed to find her mother. Fiona had left New York and returned to England, abandoning her glamorous life for a quiet life. Finding her mother had given Anna a hint of hope. But just as quickly, that hope was snatched away.

Her mother had died and now she was all alone in this world.

“Aunt Des, you’re not supposed to cry over a boy,” little Dove Callahan said seriously as she wrapped her small arms around her heartbroken aunt, who was sobbing over a recent breakup. “If he made you cry, then he is a bad person. And we shouldn’t like bad people. But… it’s okay if you still like him. Daddy says we can’t control who we love, but it’s better to be sad than to stay with someone who doesn’t treat us right.” She looked up, her eyes big and soft. “You’re a good person, Auntie. I love you.”Destiny clutched her niece closer and cried even harder. “D, you’re my favorite person. Why don’t you marry me instead?”Dove made a face. “I’m not a boy, Auntie! I can’t marry you, but I can stay with you forever and love you lots.”Adeline, watching from across the room, wiped a tear and cooed, “Anna, I swear, I would give everything to have her marry my son one day.”“Not happening,” Regina said. “You are not her mom,”Adeline shot back. Regina rolled her eyes with a laugh. “She’s my

Anastasia and Damien were forty years old when their lives were turned upside down in the most unexpected way.Anastasia was sitting on the couch, tears streaming down her face, clutching a cushion like it was a life raft. Damien stood beside her, rubbing her back with one hand and holding a glass of water in the other, his own face a mixture of guilt and panic.“Please don’t cry, baby… Please…” he begged softly, clearly at a loss for how to fix what he had done.“What did you do, Damien?” Anastasia snapped through her sobs, glaring at him as if he had committed a war crime.“I’m sorry,” he whispered. “So, so sorry.”Across the room, Adeline and Regina stood watching with tired expressions and arms crossed, while Abel and Ronan were casually eating popcorn like they were watching the season finale of a soap opera.“Seriously, stop crying,” Damien pleaded again, looking like a man desperate to stop a train with his bare hands.“What’s going on?” Asher asked, entering the living room wi

“Wait… wait—hold on—is that Asher Callahan?!”Anastasia turned to see a boy with wide eyes and an expression that screamed starstruck.“You know him?” Ashton asked, slightly confused.“Gosh, who doesn’t know him? He’s basically a legend around here. His photo’s up in the main hall—Professor Stark’s prized student… until he ditched him for some B-grade uni.”“Oxford,” Damien said, clearly offended.“Yeah. Whatever,” the boy shrugged. “Let me text T. She’ll owe me big for this.”Asher paled. “Kid—no. Don’t you dare tell her I’m here.”Too late. The boy had already texted. “Hey, T. Guess who is at the hostel gate? Asher freaking Callahan. Get here before he escapes.”Then, the boy turned to Anastasia. “Miss Beauty, can you hold him here for a bit? His girlfriend’s on her way.”Anastasia blinked. “He has a girlfriend?”The entire parental unit snapped to attention, eyes wide like they had just discovered classified information.“She’s not my girlfriend!” Asher groaned.“She trapped me!” h

“Max, make sure you finish your meals,” Anastasia said gently, brushing her son’s collar flat for the third time that morning. “You have to eat properly, okay? Don’t skip anything just because you are in a hurry. And please, don’t hang out with bad company. It’s going to be cold there, so wear warm clothes and layer up. Take care of yourself, alright?”Ashton smiled and nodded, then stepped forward and wrapped his arms around his mother. She looked tiny and delicate in front of her now-taller teenage son, and for a moment, she just held him like she used to when he was little. He kissed her cheek and whispered, “I love you, Mommy. I’m going to miss you terribly.”“Excuse me,” Damien said with offence, raising an eyebrow. “And what about me?”“You too, old man!” Ashton said with a grin. Then, before anyone could interrupt, he added, “So Dad… about that Aston Martin… when are we going to talk about it?”Damien stared at him. “Seriously?”“I mean, I’m fifteen now,” Ashton continued with a

“Hi, Anna!” Abel called out brightly as soon as he spotted her stepping into the house.“Wow, Abel,” Anna said with a playful grin, “You look unusually happy today.”Abel laughed. “Of course I am! My wife is finally home, and the babies are happy, which means Daddy is the happiest man alive!”Regina stood nearby, quietly smiling at the scene playing out in front of her. It was something she never thought she would have, and now it was here.“Did you two finally pick names for the girls?” Anna asked, eyeing the twins still snuggled against their mother’s chest.“We’re still deciding,” Regina and Abel said in unison, their voices overlapping. They shared a sheepish smile.“So, what did you do all morning, Anna?”Anna blinked at the random question but humoured him. “Let’s see... I forced the boys to bathe because they were stinking, baked cookies and bread, answered some emails, fixed Maxey’s toy truck, and watered the herbs. Why?”Abel and Regina exchanged a subtle glance. So she hasn’
