Vanya's POV
"Luna Vanya! Are you here?" Elliot's voice echoed on the outskirts of the Shadow Forest. I regained control of my body and sprinted towards the sound. But my mind was filled with confusion about the giant wolf I had just encountered. Who was it, and why did it appear here? After running for a while, I saw Elliot's figure. I slowed my pace and stopped behind a giant tree trunk to shift back into my human form. The process was more difficult than usual. It felt as if the forces within me had been tearing at each other. Selena seemed to have fallen into a deep slumber, unresponsive to my attempts to rouse her. I dressed casually, and Beta Elliot arrived just in time. He scrutinized me carefully to ensure I was unharmed before gently adjusting my clothes. Then, he squatted down to help me put on my shoes with care and skill. His eyes were always filled with a hint of concern. "Did you shift? What did you do in the Shadow Forest?" he asked softly. His gaze fixed on me, as if trying to decipher my true thoughts. "I sensed a strange presence in the Shadow Forest. The situation between packs is already unstable. Any little disturbance could trigger a greater crisis," I replied. I omitted the information about the giant wolf. Its appearance was too suspicious, and I vaguely felt it had something to do with me. Elliot nodded slightly, his brows still furrowed. "You're right. I'll arrange more patrols immediately to strengthen the border and forest surveillance. But you must be extra careful. I know Alpha Cliff's decision has put you in a very difficult position, but don't do anything drastic." I looked at him with some surprise. Before my rebirth, when I was in trouble, he didn't join others in kicking me when I was down, but he never expressed such direct support for me either. Back then, I felt abandoned by the world, struggling alone in the dark. Now, Elliot showed his sympathy for me clearly. "Don't worry," I nodded in response. I turned and walked back towards the pack. Upon returning, I went straight to the bedroom Cliff and I shared. Pushing the door open, the room was filled with a familiar yet strange scent. Cliff wasn't there, and I felt no emotional ripples. The love I once had for him had long been eroded by his betrayal. I slowly approached the vanity table, sat down, and looked at myself in the mirror. My eyes showed fatigue and determination. Unbidden, my thoughts drifted back to my past life, the painful memories flooding back like a tide. But I was no longer that helpless me. This time, I would change my destiny. In the evening, after freshening up, I prepared to lie down and rest. At that moment, the door was suddenly pushed open, and Cliff walked in. He glanced at me and headed straight for the bed, seemingly intending to rest as usual. I frowned and said coldly, "What are you doing? Get out." Cliff looked at me impatiently, "What's the matter with you? This is my room, our room." I stared at him expressionlessly, "Your room? From the moment you decided to keep Melinda, you were no longer welcome here." His eyes widened in surprise, as if he couldn't believe I would say such a thing. In his impression, I had always been a gentle and compliant partner. "Vanya, I've already explained to you. I just need Melinda to stay to stabilize my wolf. It's for the sake of the entire pack. You must understand me," he said with a hint of helplessness in his tone. I waved my hand indifferently, "Whatever you say, I don't want to hear it. Do whatever you want." Cliff took a step forward and continued, "After Melinda has learned for a while, I will find a suitable pack for her and send her away from Seattle. Just bear with it a little longer." I said nonchalantly, "Got it, you can leave." "Luna Vanya!" Cliff called my title impatiently, his voice carrying a hint of threat and warning. I could clearly sense him exerting his Alpha aura. But my wolf had no intention of submitting. "Do you want to fully unleash your Alpha aura on your Luna here?" I asked with a cold smile. His face turned a bit ugly, clearly angered by my attitude. He glared at me fiercely before turning and leaving the room, slamming the door shut. I looked at the closed door, immediately picked up my phone, and dialed Theodore Kimmons. Currently, he was just an ordinary werewolf who ran a medium-sized company. But I knew he was actually the illegitimate son of the Lycan King. However, this secret had not yet been revealed. Soon, a deep voice came from the other end of the phone, "Hello?" "Theodore, it's me, Vanya," I said. He was obviously surprised, "Why are you contacting me? I don't remember us being friends." I took a deep breath and said slowly, "I need your help now." There was a moment of silence on the other end, followed by Theodore's curious voice, "You must be joking. What help can I offer you?" I replied calmly, "I hope you can give me an invitation to the pack gathering in a few days. It's very important to me."Third Person's POVZander looked like a normal person on the outside, but he was ruthless at his core. Now that her attempt to frame Vanya had failed, Melinda was not only disgraced but had also lost her biggest bargaining chip.Without Cliff's protection, Zander would definitely kill her.Looking at the desperate Melinda, Cliff was suddenly reminded of Vanya begging him to stay.It was right after they got mated. He never came home and had seen Vanya so few times. That night, Vanya had grabbed his sleeve, her eyes pleading. "Cliff, please stay tonight, okay?"But back then, he had only looked at her with indifference. He had shoved her hand away and left, leaving her with only the cold sound of the door closing.Suddenly, a flash of an image came to his mind: the bite marks on Vanya's neck and the ice-cold look in her eyes as she said, "Cliff, I don't love you anymore."Those words felt like a heavy blow to his h
Third Person's POVMelinda was stunned.Vanya? Why would Vanya be so kind as to tell Cliff to come see her?It must be because she wanted him to see her humiliated!Melinda bit her lip. "Cliff, I was forced to do it! What mother would willingly give up her baby? Zander forced me! He told me to frame Luna Vanya, and I was too scared not to listen to him!"Cliff looked at Melinda, unmoved by her acting. He had been fooled by her "kindness and weakness" before, but after seeing her true colors, he would never feel sympathy for her again."I don't care about your relationship with Zander, and I don't care what he's planning. I'm just going to warn you—don't ever get an idea to harm Vanya again. If you do, I will make you pay."Cliff's tone wasn't a joke. Melinda's face fell."Cliff, we had a relationship. We..."Melinda tried to appeal to his emotions, but Cliff gave her a cold, dangerous look.Melinda im
Third Person's POVThe moment Denis finished speaking, Cliff gave him a cold stare. "She caused a scene at the Todds mansion and framed Vanya. All you have to do is make a big show of taking her in. You don't have to worry about anything else. You can even release her the same day."Denis was still confused, but Cliff had already made his instructions clear.Denis thought about it and suddenly said, "I understand! I'll send someone to the hospital tomorrow morning and bring Ms. Chambers back to the police station for a statement. After all, if Ms. Chambers fell by accident, then it's no one else's fault. But if she didn't fall on her own, and someone deliberately..."Denis thought he had guessed Cliff's intention, thinking that Cliff wanted him to frame Vanya for harming Melinda's baby.If Vanya had pushed Melinda and she hadn't intentionally thrown herself down the stairs, Vanya would be responsible for the assault. Before he could finish,
Third Person's POVAt that auction, he saw Vanya in a red dress. It was the first time she hadn't copied anyone else's style. She was just herself: confident, radiant, and graceful. It was then that he truly saw her for the first time.Cliff pursed his lips. "I'm sorry for how I treated you. I can make it up to you. Can we start over?""Cliff, there's no going back for us."Vanya's voice was calm. "You probably have a lot to deal with, so I'll leave you to it."Cliff clenched his fists. "I will never agree to a divorce! I won't let you be with Theodore! You're my mate and only my mate!""A marriage certificate can't hold me, Cliff. You don't sound like the Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack anymore."With that, Vanya turned and left.Cliff stood there, a look of self-mockery on his face.He knew he wasn't acting like an Alpha.Silver Moon required its Alpha to put the family's interests first. Third Person's POVCliff turned to Zander and Cyrus, his voice cold. "Both of you, please leave."The dismissal was direct.Cyrus felt humiliated, but while he would dare to get angry with Veronica, he wouldn't disrespect Cliff.Seeing this, Zander decided to leave and helped Cyrus out."Alpha Zander," Vanya suddenly said, and Zander stopped. "Take care. We won't see you out."Zander shot Vanya a cold glance.Cyrus felt something was off between Vanya and Zander, but he couldn't put his finger on it. He let Zander lead him out.Once they were all gone, Cliff walked up to Vanya. He hesitated, then asked, "Are you hurt?""I'm fine. You should be more concerned about your own child," Vanya replied coldly.Cliff frowned. "I never said I would marry her."An awkward silence hung in the air. Denis, standing nearby, felt uncomfortable. He said, "Um... how about you go on ahead? I'll just wait upstairs."
Third Person's POVVeronica's eyes widened when she saw Jenny. "Jenny?"Vanya took the phone. She quickly found the security footage of her meeting with Melinda and handed the device to Denis."Denis, is this evidence enough?"Denis's expression changed as he watched the video.Vanya looked at the crowd. "I'm sure it's hard to see. Let's use the Todds' projector to make it clearer for everyone."She gave Jenny a look, and Jenny quickly turned on the projector connected to the TV.With a few taps on her phone, Vanya pulled up a terrifying scene. The footage clearly showed Melinda grabbing Vanya's arm and then throwing herself down the stairs.Sabrina gasped, covering her mouth. She couldn't believe a mother would be so ruthless with her own child."This... this is awful. She'd use her own baby to frame her rival.""I knew that woman was no good. She only got where she is by being a home-wrecker. She'd
