Chapter TWO

“Hey mummy how are you doing, “ Amelia said

“ My baby, how was work?“ her mum replied kissing her child on the cheek.

“You need to stop working mum, I can provide for both of us now and yeah, work was fine” Amelia replied.

“ I made lunch since I had the morning shift today, please go freshen up and eat,” Anna said to her daughter.

“You look sad my darling, you need to get yourself a man and yes, I know that bastard hurt you but you have to move on my darling “ Anna continued

“Urrrrrgghhhh mum! I'm going to freshen up, love you” Amelia replied and dashed into her room.

She just doesn't understand why her mum can't let her live without a man. She'll fall in love in due time, she needs to live for herself and her kids. She loves teaching those kids and she adores them so much.

She doesn't have friends and it doesn't bother her because she has been betrayed by them several times.

After she was done, she went to the kitchen to dish her food and ate, avoiding her mum. She looks at the time, it's 4 pm and decided to take a walk down the street.

After the walk, she joined her mom in the kitchen to make dinner.

“Mum I wonder why you didn't remarry, you need a man and I feel like I stole that away from you. You didn't marry because of me and I want you to be happy “ Amelia said

“ Amelia, I love you and would sacrifice my whole life for you. I don't need a man anymore, I'm an old woman and stop saying you stole my life from me” she replied to her daughter.

“ Mum you are just 50, you have many more years to live. You should meet someone, you are still very pretty “ Amelia assured her mum, touching her face.

“ Just drop it, Amy, you'll forever be my only priority. I can't love any man after your father” Anna said almost tearing up.

“I'm sorry mum, I know I constantly remind you of him. I don't want you to cry and I promise to make you happy “ Amelia said hugging her mother and cleaning her tears.

“Then find a man and get married Amy”

“ Anything for you mum, this is emotional blackmail but I don't mind since it's coming from you”

They both laughed and continued cooking. After eating dinner, they watched a movie together and continued to talk about life. It was getting late. So they both said goodnight and retired to their room.

When Amelia got to her room, she continued to think about her life and how she'll find love again. One thing she's sure of is that she cannot deal with cheating and abusive men. She wants to wait for God's time and hopefully she might get a man from God soon. She started to reminisce about her former relationship and how she went through hell with her ex. She fell asleep a few minutes later
