CHAPTER FORTY FOUR: THE GREAT AUNT GIA

Lorenzo's voice was flat, almost hollow. "Don't call me that, Gia."

Gia didn't flinch. "Why not? That's what my niece named you. Andrea. It's a beautiful name."

He stepped past her, leading her inside, his shoulders tense. "Why are you here? Suddenly. After all these years."

She followed him, her silver hair catching the light, her eyes scanning the halls like she was seeing ghosts in every corner.

"I'm lonely, Andrea. It's been so long. The last time

  • Contracted: The Billionaire’s Husband From The Commercial   FACE THAT FEAR ?

CHAPTER HUNDRED: FACE THAT FEAR? The applause was deafening. Lorenzo stood at the podium, the lights hot on his face, the crowd on their feet. The new car…the most advanced model the company had ever produced…was displayed behind him, sleek and silver, catching every flash of the cameras. He didn't care about any of it. His eyes found Louis in the front row. Louis was smiling, clapping, his eyes bright with pride. The bandage on his arm was barely visible beneath his sleeve. Lorenzo didn't wait for the applause to die down. He stepped off the podium and moved through the crowd, his strides long and purposeful. People tried to stop him…handshakes, congratulations, questions…but he ignored them all. He reached Louis. "You did well," Louis said, his voice warm. Lorenzo didn't answer. He pulled Louis into his arms and kissed him…deep, hungry, full of everything he had been holding back. Louis laughed against his lips. "Lorenzo…people are watching…" "I don't care." Lorenzo ki

  • Contracted: The Billionaire’s Husband From The Commercial   UNHINGED

CHAPTER NINETY NINE: UNHINGED Louis sat cross-legged on the bed, his laptop open in front of him, a stack of glossy cards in his hand. His hair was still damp from the shower, falling in soft waves across his forehead. He was smiling…a real, genuine smile that reached his eyes. "Okay, so," Louis said, flipping through the cards, "I just opened up my bookings and announced that I'm back to work." He held up one of the cards triumphantly. "And I already got booked to host on a show." Lorenzo looked up from his phone, his expression shifting from bored to interested. "A show?" "A big one. Prime time. The kind of thing that could really…" Louis stopped himself, laughing. "Listen to me. I sound like I'm accepting an award." Lorenzo set his phone aside and leaned forward, his elbows on his knees. "You should sound like that. You're incredible." Louis rolled his eyes, but his cheeks flushed. "I got an extra card." He held it up, waving it slightly. "Would you like to come?" Loren

  • Contracted: The Billionaire’s Husband From The Commercial   MY SAINT LOUIS

CHAPTER NINETY EIGHT: MY SAINT LOUIS Louis sat across from Matt in the corner of a quiet café, far from the mansion, far from Lorenzo, far from anyone who might overhear. His coffee sat untouched, growing cold. His hands were wrapped around the cup, but he wasn't drinking. He was staring at the table, his mind racing.Matt watched him for a long moment. "You look like shit."Louis let out a hollow laugh. "Thanks.""You called me here. Said it was urgent." Matt leaned back in his chair, his arms crossed. "So. What's going on?"Louis was quiet. He glanced around the café, checking the faces of the strangers nearby. No one was looking at them. No one was listening. But still, he hesitated."Louis." Matt's voice was firmer now. "What did you do?"Louis's jaw tightened. He looked up, meeting Matt's eyes. "I made a deal."Matt's expression didn't change, but something flickered in his eyes. "What kind of deal?""With Theo."Matt went still. His arms uncrossed slowly. "Theo. As in

  • Contracted: The Billionaire’s Husband From The Commercial   BARGAIN

CHAPTER NINETY SEVEN: BARGAIN Louis found Lorenzo in the study, staring out the window. His wheelchair was positioned near the desk, a stack of papers untouched beside him. Louis walked in, a small smile on his face. "How do you feel today?" Lorenzo didn't turn. "The same." Louis crossed to him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I picked out our clothes for the meeting. Something sharp. Something that says 'we're still in charge.'" He paused. "I chose an excellent tie for you. Dark blue. The one that matches your eyes." Lorenzo finally looked at him. His expression was unreadable. "Louis. I need you to do something for me and to understand me, my love”, Lorenzo said softly. Louis's smile faltered. "What?” Lorenzo reached for his hand, holding it tightly. "You don't have to be at the shareholders meeting with me." Louis blinked. "What? What are you even saying,my love?” "I've made plans. You'll…Chloe and William be taken to a secluded place. Somewhere safe. Somewhere Giusep

  • Contracted: The Billionaire’s Husband From The Commercial   Trust That Terrifies

Content Warning: This chapter contains homophobic language and slurs. Reader discretion is advised. Chapter Ninety Six: Trust That Terrifies The bar was empty…dimly lit, smelling of stale beer and old secrets. The kind of place that didn't ask questions and didn't remember faces. Louis had chosen it for exactly that reason. Theo was already there, sprawled across a table like he owned it, his legs dangling off the edge, that infuriating smile plastered on his face. He looked like a golden retriever who had just been told he was a good boy. It was almost disarming. Almost. Louis stood a few feet away, arms crossed, his expression unreadable. His mind was already working…cataloging exits, noting the distance between them, calculating how fast he could reach the door if this went wrong. ‘He's Giuseppe's right hand. He's dangerous. He's unpredictable. Don't forget that.’ "I didn't think you were going to come," Theo said, tilting his head. His voice was light, almost playful

  • Contracted: The Billionaire’s Husband From The Commercial   WARM SHEETS

Chapter Ninety Five: Warm Sheets Louis stood by the window, his arms crossed, his reflection staring back at him in the dark glass. Lorenzo was in the chair behind him, his walking stick resting against the armrest, his eyes fixed on Louis's back. "He offered to help," Louis said quietly. "Theo. He said he could be useful. He said he's tired of being a tool." Lorenzo's voice was flat. "Don't you even think about it…baby” Louis turned to face him. "I'm not saying I trust him. I'm saying there might be something we can use." "Use?" Lorenzo's eyes narrowed. "You want to use a man who kills people for Giuseppe? A man who you mentioned calls him father?" Louis took a step closer. "He called Giuseppe father. But he also said he's just a tool to him. That kind of relationship can sour. It can crack. And if it does…” "It won't." Lorenzo's voice was sharp. "You don't understand. I know men like Theo. I've been around them my whole life. They don't turn…. don't betray. They follow until

CHAPTER FOUR: THE CORNER TIGHTENS Louis walked into St. Jude's with a heavy heart and a lighter wallet. The candy in his hand…cheap lollipops, the kind Chloe pretended to hate…felt pathetic, but it was all he could afford now. All he could afford ever now, apparently. Three jobs gone in one we

  • Contracted: The Billionaire’s Husband From The Commercial   THE ART OF REFUSAL

CHAPTER THREE: THE ART OF REFUSAL Louis's eyes fluttered open to white ceiling, beeping machines, and that smell. The hospital smell that hits him right in the gut and says "somebody's about to get a bill they can't afford." Then a face was hovering right above him. "GAH!" Louis jolted so hard t

  • Contracted: The Billionaire’s Husband From The Commercial   THE CONTRACT AT THE DOORSTEP

CHAPTER TWO: THE CONTRACT AT THE DOORSTEP Louis’s eyes snapped open to the same cracked ceiling and for one blissful second, his mind was quiet. Then yesterday crashed back in like a wave of cold water…the weirdo at the door, the bodyguards, those crazy words. ‘My husband.’, “who the hell says

  • Contracted: The Billionaire’s Husband From The Commercial   INTEREST ON MY LIFE

CHAPTER ONE: INTEREST ON MY LIFE “Uncle Vinnie ain’t a charity, Louis. The vig don’t sleep. You’re two weeks light.” The voice was a low growl in the dark, right against his ear. Marco’s forearm pressed into Louis’s throat, pinning him to the damp brick wall of the alley behind his apartment.
