~ MIA ANTHONY ~
“Little Mia.” I heard Luca calling from the stairs. That was his new name for me now. He said I reminded him of his cute late pussycat; how funny. I have been indoors since he left this morning. Thanks to my sharp eyes, I saw a book in the closet. I hurriedly dropped the book I was reading, and pretended to be asleep. His heavy steps against the stairs were heard as he opened the door, he walked to the bathroom and came back in a few minutes. I guess he went to take a shower because I could smell the fragrance of his lavender shampoo. "You come down for dinner, and don't be stubborn as this morning because I will come here myself and spank you until you wouldn't have the appetite to eat nothing" He said. After he had left, I released some breath of relief, being in close proximity with him is really suffocating. I quickly left the room. Aside from his threat, I really needed to ask him a few questions before he leaves the dining room again. I went to the diner to meet him. And Like this morning, there were varieties of food displayed on the table and I wondered where the food from earlier was kept. Do they throw the remnants or the maids and servants eat them? I thought. Seeing that I didn't eat much this morning, I took a large quantity of food. I also decided to eat in a haste incase Luca spoils my appetite again. “I have a lot to ask, hope you don't mind?” “Hmmm?” was his curt response. "okay… umm, I wanted to ask why you didn't want me to go to school, don't you think it's a bit too harsh?" "Little Mia, I don't think you understand the situation. You are my pet and that's going to be for a year; meaning, I have the right to make any decision and for being harsh, I am not because if I was, you wouldn't be having the audacity to ask about my decisions.” His response was cold, I didn't even have the courage to ask about the other questions I had in mind. I will be going on a business trip tomorrow. I need to close a very important deal with a client. So that you don't think that I’m away for days then you can escape. The island is so big I bet you won't be able to find your way out or even back to the castle so just stay here.” He has a great fear of me escaping; I guess, but who am I to complain, the idea of escaping was even the least of my worries right now. My problem is how I am getting my contacts back but how do I ask him. "So what deal are you signing this time, is it for the consignment of weapons or drugs or what...?" "I think I given you too much liberty little Mia, meet me in the room" Luca said as he stood up "What!” I was surprised. But what was my offence? I rushed over to the room, where Luca was already waiting impatiently. I wondered what my consequences this time would be. "Strip,” He ordered, but unlike last time, he was getting undressed too. My dumbstruck posture must have put him on edge because in the next moment he was standing beside me, holding me on the neck. "You want to know about my business meetings right? Well I will tell you but first you have to be punished for not minding your business so now strip!” He whispered in my ear causing a cold sensation to seep through my skin. ••• ••• ••• ~ LUCA VITIELLO ~ “Cut his throat to pieces,” I said to Ryan, my right hand man. "Yes boss.” I was able to trace the man who orchestrated the theft plan but what I had realized was that he's not the master minder, and how loyal can he be? "Even till death, you can't and won't get me to speak, my loyalty dies with me" The tied blooded man spoke. Looking at the lifeless bodies of his two partners in crime, I decided he joined them, he's of no use anyway. "What are you waiting for, cut his tongue, then his fingers, toes; bit by bit, and make sure you dismember every single part of his body, you will die with loyalty huh? you might as well die with pain you will feel even in your afterlife.” “Ahh… ahhh… ahhh!!” His bloody screams fill the cabin. I don’t waste time on too loyal champs, they don't have anything to lose anyway. Determined, I promise to get to the root of who was behind this. I went out of the cabin to take in some cool breeze. I had a hunch about the master minder and I smirked at the possibility. Right now, I was exhausted, hungry and sex starved and at this moment I needed to be home, suddenly, the thought of my gorgeous wife came to mind. “Little Mia," I called my chosen name for Mia as I reached the castle. No response…. So I walked through the stairs to the room, took a cold shower to first calm my nerves. Seeing how bad she was at pretending, I told her to come downstairs for dinner with a stern warning that she comes down early without restraint like last time. While I was at the diner, I got a call from Ryan. Boss, due to the new item that we would be importing, you would have to go on the business trip earlier than scheduled. I have spoken with Mr Sheldon and he's okay with it. “Okay,” I responded. Rescheduling my company's business trip is not a problem as long as the time frame doesn’t clash on the same arrival date of the X item. I dropped my phone and dug into the delicious meal. “I have a lot to ask I hope you don't mind,” little Mia asked after she had settled down "Hmmm,” I responded. “Ummm… I wanted to ask why you didn't want me to go to school, don't you think it's a little bit too harsh. My little Mia was curious, but she wouldn't be getting any answer from me. I think she still doesn't understand the severity of the situation she's in. "Little Mia, I don't think you understand the situation. You are my pet and that's going to be for a year; meaning I have the right to make any decision and for being harsh, I am not because if I was, you wouldn't be having the audacity to ask about my decisions" I told her, outrightly. I looked at her and saw how coldly she sat, things like this I love to see. Maybe she needs a daily reminder of why she's been brought here. “I would be going on a business trip," I uttered as I brought the warm espresso to my lips. "Why are you telling me this?" She blurted. “So that you don't think that if I am away for days then you can escape. The island is so big I bet you won't be able to find your way out or even back to the castle so just stay here.” “What business trip are you going for this time, is it for importing consignment of weapons or drugs or what?” Her question tripped me off, for some reason she's breaching the boundary and come to think of it, I haven't taught her a great deal since she arrived. "I think I gave you too much liberty, little Mia, meet me in the room" I stated as I went to the room. Shortly after, she was standing at the door with eyes full of fears and questions. "Strip!" I ordered like last time but this time, it was different because I was undressing too. Her hesitation was putting me on edge and so I swiftly stood beside her, grabbing her neck, not tightly. “You want to know about my business meetings, right? Well I will tell you but first you have to be punished for not minding your business so now, strip!” She just provoked the ranging lion I've been trying so hard to tame.~ MIA ANTHONY ~I failed, I couldn't be brave. I couldn't help myself.“I'm tired,” I blurted as he stood before me, closer than before. He didn't say anything. Didn't move.“I'm sorry.”My breath stalled and it felt like the world was tilting on its axis. He was sorry? Or so I thought. He took a step forward, so close that I could feel his hot breath on my face and those intriguing facial features that would make anyone turn twice just so they could get a glimpse. I moved backward but my back hit the wall near the window and now I was trapped in between. His face was mere inches from mine.“I'm sorry not because of Charles, I can never be..”“No, Luca yo —”But I was cut off by his fingers on my lips. My breath hitched and I swallowed my words.“...I can never be sorry for putting disobedient men in their places, it's what I was born to do, I have been trained to do so but…. I'm sorry because It made you cry, sorry that all your emotions had to be in places.” Luca bowed his head brie
~ MIA ANTHONY ~Slowly, the phone finally slipped from my fingers and onto the bed. The tears poured freely against my cheeks.I tried to think but my head, it was like it was placed in a freezer; dormant, still and painful. I thought of calling the phone again but what use was it if Luca was with it? I tried to scream but my mouth was unable to form a sound, and my heart, they felt like it had gone through some surgical emergency without anesthesia. I held my head, feeling the bang.“Oh Luca!” How cruel could he be? How inhumane could his heart be? Charles was innocent for goddamn sake!Staring at my phone again, I thought of my parents — should I inform them? And my friends, how would they be of help?I hit my head on the wall, the fruitless thoughts of finding a way made my heart ache. I was useless. Charles would die because of me and I wouldn’t be able to do anything.Mia, you have just a few months to leave? I said to myself, like always, but it didn't calm me down, it didn't
~ LUCA VITIELLO ~“What do you say?”Without raising his head, he muttered. “Kill me, I don't have anything to live for anyway.” He finally lifted his head, his eyes fighting to stay open.“Because if you don't, I will still die… by his hands.”“Whose hands?” I whispered.“Why do I need to tell you? I don't need to satisfy any of your curiosity nor do I have to feel obliged to him, so just let it end here.”I stood, my hands tucked firmly in my pocket.“I love people like you, you make things easy for me but I'm sorry to say that I won't be fulfilling that wish of yours. If that was what your soul so desired, then I will make it possible that it doesn't happen.” The man screamed, his hands dragging on the chains.I stared at them, squarely. From the man who was scared of death to the one who didn't mind staying loyal to the one who didn’t fear death, a small smile crept on my lips.If they couldn't talk, at least I would break them, so hard, so deep, they would see death and would wa
~ LUCA VITIELLO ~ A loud sound from Charles’ phone on the table had disrupted the moment. I glanced towards it, my steps hesitant as I glared at the name displayed on the screen. My lips curved upward and a satisfying thought filled my mind. I finally picked the phone after another ring. “Hello,” the voice whispered. Silence. “Hello.” The voice spoke again, but I was too distracted, too satisfied, watching him cry, watching him as he twisted and turned and begged. “Charles?” “Charles,” the voice called again and a wide grin etched on my face as I walked to the only chair in the room. “Hello, little Mia,” I said, my voice low, enough to send a message. The other end was thick with silence and I imagined the shock written on her face. “Can't scream anymore?” I played with the small dagger from one of the boxes, twirling it swiftly, my gaze locked on the one man before me and many scenarios played out in my head of how the blade would look cute on his skin. “Luc
~ LUCA VITIELLO ~ I stared at my watch on the desk, rubbing my eyes. A yawn escaped my mouth. On the desk were papers scattered. I held my head, slightly wincing as a pain shot through it. I drank a lot yesterday. I glanced at a sheet from a file that had stuck to my face. I got a bit of important information concerning the culprit who robbed my warehouse. The instigator was close, I know, they were so close yet hidden but we need concrete evidence to strike. Presently, we were able to get hold of three alliances, all proving difficult and loyal. Carefully, I arranged the files, putting them against each other before securing them in the locker, a loud click echoed in the room as it automatically locked. Another barrel of goods was to arrive today but I couldn't shake this awful feeling. I had informed my boys to safeguard the warehouse, also tightening the security around the ship that's in possession of my items. I heard the loud buzz of my phone. My finger grazed the de
~ MIA ANTHONY ~I held my phone, the new time table for the days of lectures before our final Exams stared back at me.I knew there was no rest. Just last week we had finished our test and a new calendar for lectures had been created this Sunday.I tossed my phone to the side of the bed, my heart heavy as I slowly remembered last night. After Luca and I had a minor fallout in the bathroom. Not quite sure what he was angry about, probably because of the imposed rule or the refusal to scrub his body. Whichever one, it was clearly affecting me.This was hard for me to accept but it was.I hugged my pillow, my eyes staring at the plain bed board as if it had answers to my questions.I stared back at my phone, again. There were no messages to say they'd been away for a week, and that I shouldn’t bother about their absence. No Infuriating calls — like usual — as Luca would have done, but a stupid notification of the timetable update.“Ah!” I screamed iñto the pillowI wasn't supposed to fe
