Chapter 39: Little Isabella

The delivery room at the private wing of the city’s most prestigious hospital buzzed with controlled energy. Elena Black gripped Julian’s hand tightly, her face flushed with effort and determination as another contraction rippled through her. Julian, usually the picture of arrogant confidence in boardrooms, looked pale with worry and awe, whispering constant encouragement into her ear.

“You’re doing incredible, love. Just a little more,” he said, kissing her temple.

Hours later, with a final push and a powerful cry, Isabella Vale-Black entered the world. The newborn’s strong wail filled the room as the doctor placed her on Elena’s chest. Julian leaned down, pressing kisses to both his wife’s and daughter’s foreheads. “She’s beautiful. Just like her mother.”

He took night shifts with Isabella so Elena could rest, massaged her sore shoulders after long days, and still found moments to remind her how desirable she was.

One late evening, after finally getting Isabella down, Julian pulled Elena into their master bathroom. The large marble shower steamed up as he undressed her slowly, kissing every new curve pregnancy had left behind.

“You’re even more beautiful now,” he murmured against her skin. “Carrying our daughter made you glow in a way I can’t get enough of.”

He dropped to his knees and worshipped her with his mouth until Elena was trembling and moaning his name. Then he stood, lifted her against the shower wall, and slid into her with one deep thrust. Their lovemaking was passionate but careful — Julian moving with deep, controlled strokes while whispering how much he loved her, how proud he was of her, how he couldn’t wait to fill their home with more children if she wanted.

Elena came hard, clinging to him as the water cascaded over them. Julian followed soon after, groaning her name as he emptied himself inside her.

One weekend, the entire extended family gathered at the private island. Isabella, now three months old, cooed happily as her great-grandparents took turns holding her on the beach.

Alexander looked at Emma, his eyes still full of the same intense love as when she had first signed that contract. “We did well, didn’t we?”

Emma leaned against him, watching their descendants play in the sand. “We built something beautiful from what started as a desperate bargain. I wouldn’t change any of it.”

Elena and Julian watched their daughter with the same wonder. Their marriage had only strengthened since the wedding. The rivalry that had once defined them had transformed into deep partnership — in business, in parenting, and in the bedroom.

One night on the island, after putting Isabella to sleep, Julian took Elena out to the same beach where her grandparents had honeymooned decades earlier. Under the stars, he made love to her on soft blankets, the ocean providing a gentle soundtrack.

“I love our life,” he whispered as he moved inside her. “I love you. I love our daughter. I can’t wait to see what we build next.”

Elena came with a soft cry, pulling him closer. “Together. Always together.”

Back at the mansion, Alexander and Emma sat on their favorite terrace, watching the same stars. Alexander pulled her onto his lap, kissing her deeply.

“Think they’ll have what we have?” he asked.

Emma smiled against his lips. “They already do. The fire started with us. Now it’s burning in them too.”
