Our First Anniversary…

 

The Baguio trip was taking place. I was sure that this would relieve us from the “Poison Ivy incident” and just let us continue on with what we have. I still feel that we still have that connection. And although our relationship was not perfect, it was working – or so I thought back then.

At this point, she had been promoted for the first time, and I was really amazed and proud of her success. The people who came with us were her teammates who apparently became my friends as well.

“We’re here!” Liana screamed.

Everybody else in the van was startled because Liana had this very distinct high-pitched voice.

“What in the world?” I said in surprise, but I immediately laughed afterwards.

“Love, wake up. We’re already here,” I gently whispered to Audrey’s ear.

Her eyebrows twitched, and her eyes slightly opened when she said, “Five more minutes, please…”
