Chapter 45 —The Alpha’s Promise

The rain had stopped by dawn, leaving behind a hush that felt too quiet, too expectant—like the world itself was holding its breath. The cabin was still dark, lit only by the last embers in the hearth, but warmth radiated around me from the bodies pressed close.

Kael’s arms were wrapped around my waist from behind, his chest rising against my back, firm and protective. Lucian sat at my right, leaning against the wall, relaxed but alert—his eyes always half‑lidded, always calculating. Damon rested on my left, his head lowered, his fingers brushing mine every so often like he needed the reassurance of touch.

None of them slept.

They watched me.

They watched everything.

And even though the bond thrummed gently, warm and steady, something else pulsed beneath it—a tension I couldn’t name.

Kael tightened his grip, his breath ghosting over my neck. “You’re awake.”

His voice was rough from disuse, deeper in the silence of morning.

I nodded, swallowing. “Couldn’t really sleep.”

The forest was quiet now, though the air still thrummed with residual energy, the aftershocks of the confrontation lingering like a heartbeat in the earth. Rain had soaked the ground, turning leaves into slippery green mirrors reflecting the silver light of the moon. I sat on a fallen log, legs pulled close to my chest, shivering not from the cold but from everything that had just happened.Kael knelt beside me, damp hair plastered to his forehead, golden eyes softer than I had ever seen. His hands, rough and calloused, cupped my cheeks, tilting my face to meet his gaze. “You’re shaking,” he murmured, voice low, vibrating against my chest. “Not from fear. From what you’ve survived… and what you’ve chosen.”“I… I don’t know if I understand any of it,” I whispered, voice breaking. My hands clutched the wet hem of my jacket, fingers trembling. “Everything… everything is so overwhelming. You, Lucian, Damon… the bond… him.” My voice faltered, tears threatening to s

The forest trembled beneath a sky that had turned black as ink. Lightning streaked across the heavens, illuminating the trees in jagged silver lines, revealing shadows that danced like predators in the wind. The stranger stood at the edge of the clearing, golden eyes ablaze, radiating power that made the air hum and pulse. He was close now—too close—and every instinct screamed in warning.Kael’s hands fisted around mine, holding me close, pressing me against his chest as if my very body was the only thing keeping him tethered. “Do not listen to him,” he growled, voice low and deadly. “He cannot claim you. Not now. Not ever.”“I… I feel him,” I whispered, the words trembling on my lips. My body was taut with tension, every nerve ending alight. The stranger’s presence pulled at me, an irresistible gravity that made my knees weak and my heartbeat jag faster than I thought possible. “He’s… calling me.”Lucian’s lips pressed into a hard line as he stepped forward, aura flaring. His eyes gl

The forest held its breath. My body trembled in Kael’s arms, Lucian and Damon flanking us like twin shadows of wrath and protection. The mark on my arm burned with a heat that made my vision blur, the crescent-shaped symbol glowing brighter with every pulse of my heartbeat. It wasn’t just fire in my veins—it was something alive, something demanding.“He’s here,” Damon repeated, voice low but tense, each word vibrating with warning.I could barely speak. “Who… who is he?”Kael’s jaw clenched, golden eyes now flickering with red sparks, the wolf beneath his skin snarling at a danger he couldn’t yet name. “The one who… claimed you before me,” he admitted, his voice almost strangled by fury and fear. “The one tied to your bloodline.”Lucian’s hands radiated blue power, protective runes flaring against the edges of the clearing. “We need to prepare,” he said, tone cold and sharp. “He’s strong. Older than any threat we’ve faced.”I shivere

The forest outside the cabin seemed almost alive, whispering secrets that chilled the spine. Rain still fell, drumming steadily against the roof, but inside, the tension was different—heated, heavy, as if the very air had been saturated with desire, possession, and something unspoken yet palpable.I sat between them on the worn wooden floor, my back pressed to Kael’s chest, Lucian to my right, Damon to my left. The bond pulsed under my skin, thrumming with each heartbeat, each shallow breath. I could feel them all—their need, their hunger, their undeniable claim. And, impossibly, I could feel the pull of my own desire threading back through it, drawing me closer to them, demanding surrender.Kael’s hand rested possessively over my stomach, fingertips pressing just enough to remind me I was his, his mark seared into my flesh. He shifted slightly, just enough that I could feel the rigid length of him pressing against me, and my knees went weak. “You’re trembling again,” he murmured, voi

  • Craved By The Alpha Triplets    Chapter 43—Flames of the Unseen

The cabin was silent after the wolves bowed.Silent but not safe. The rain still battered the roof with relentless insistence, and the wind carried the scent of wet earth, sharp and wild. But inside, everything had changed. The air itself seemed charged, heavy, alive. I could feel it in my bones—the bond thrumming, pulsing, demanding attention, connecting me to Kael, Lucian, and Damon in ways I was only beginning to understand.Kael’s hands stayed on my shoulders, grounding me. His golden eyes were unreadable, fire and shadow both warring for dominance. “You have to stay close,” he murmured, voice low, almost a growl. “Don’t let go of me.”I nodded, unable to speak, though my mind screamed questions I didn’t have the words to voice. The energy inside me had shifted again—stronger, hotter, more insistent. I could feel it curling, pressing, as if it were alive and aware of the presence of the pack outside. And not just aware… respectful. Submissive. Recognizing something in me I didn’t
