Grant's POV

The first week was torture.

Naomi threw herself into the role of a devoted wife with the kind of energy she usually reserved for red carpets. She cooked breakfast, burnt eggs and undercooked bacon that I ate without complaint. She rearranged the living room furniture, talked about date nights and weekend getaways and all the things we had never done in four years of marriage. I played along and smiled when I was supposed to and nodded when I was supposed to nod. I kissed her cheek and held her hand and pretended I wasn't counting the minutes until I could escape to my study. But I couldn't escape Finn.

He was everywhere. In the hallway, brushing past me with a whispered "Mr. Grant" that made my blood run hot. At the dinner table, across from me, his green eyes catching mine over Naomi's chatter. In the garden, shirtless, tanning in the afternoon sun like he knew I was watching him from the window.

I was watching. I couldn't stop watching. He had done something to me, that night in the bathroom, he'd unlocked something I'd buried so deep and convinced myself it didn't exist. I had spent twenty years pretending I was someone I wasn't, married a woman I didn't love. I'd told myself it was worth it, the money, the status, the respect. But Finn had looked at me like I was worth more than all of it. And now I couldn't unsee it.

Naomi noticed something was off.

She wasn't stupid, she was just self-absorbed, but even she could sense the distance between us. She'd reach for my hand, and I'd pull away. She'd kiss my cheek, and I'd flinch. She'd ask about my day, and I'd give her one-word answers.

"Grant." She cornered me in the kitchen one evening, her arms crossed, her painted lips pressed into a thin line. "What's going on with you?"

"Nothing. Work is stressful."

"Work has always been stressful. This is different."

I turned away, busying myself with a glass of water. "I'm fine, Naomi. Really."

She studied me for a long moment. Then her face softened, and she stepped closer, wrapping her arms around my waist. "I know I've been absent," she murmured against my chest. "I know I haven't been the wife you deserve. But I'm here now. I want to make it work. Please let me."

I stood there, frozen, her body pressed against mine. I should have felt something. She was my wife, she was beautiful and she was offering me a second chance. But all I could think about was Finn. His lips. His eyes and the way he'd looked at me.

I pulled away gently. "I'm tired. I'm going to bed."

Naomi's face flickered with something, hurt? Suspicion? before she smoothed it into a smile. "Of course. Rest well."

I walked up the stairs, my chest tight. I walked passed Finn's room and the door was cracked open. I should have kept walking, i should have gone to my room and locked the door and buried myself in work until I forgot he existed. But I stopped.

I pushed the door open.

Finn was sitting on his bed, a book in his hands. He looked up when I entered, and there it was, that hunger. He set the book aside slowly, deliberately.

"Mr. Grant." His voice was soft. Too soft. "Can't sleep?"

"I….I was just checking on you." The lie tasted like ash.

Finn stood. He walked toward me, slow and unhurried, like a predator circling its prey. He stopped inches away. Close enough that I could smell him, something clean and warm

"Checking on me?" He tilted his head, a smirk playing at his lips. "Or checking me out?"

I should have left. I should have turned around and walked out but I stayed instead.

"Finn." My voice was strained. "What happened in the bathroom…."

"Was the best thing that's ever happened to me." He finished the sentence, his green eyes locked on mine. "And don't pretend you didn't feel it too. I saw your face and i heard your voice."

I swallowed hard. "It doesn't matter what I wanted. It was wrong."

"Then why are you here?" He stepped closer. His chest was almost touching mine. "Why are you in my room, Mr. Grant? Why are you looking at me like you want to devour me?"

My control snapped.

I grabbed his face with both hands and kissed him. It was nothing like the bathroom. That had been desperate, frantic, stolen but this was deliberate and consuming. I kissed him like I was drowning and he was air. I kissed him like I'd been starving for years and he was the first meal I'd ever tasted. Finn made a sound against my lips, low and his hands fisted in my shirt. He pulled me closer, closer, until there was no space left between us.

I pulled back, breathing hard. "This doesn't change anything."

He laughed, breathless and wild. "It changes everything."

I left his room that night with my heart pounding and my hands shaking. I walked into my bedroom, Naomi was already asleep, her back to me and i stood in the dark, staring at nothing. What was I doing? I was forty years old. I was a husband that had responsibilities, a reputation, a life I'd spent decades building and I was throwing it all away for a nineteen year old boy.

But he wasn't just a boy. He was Finn and I couldn't let him go. I lay down beside Naomi, staring at the ceiling, listening to the sound of her breathing. My mind was elsewhere, in the room next door, with green eyes and messy hair and a smile that made me forget everything I was supposed to be.

I didn't sleep that night, and in the darkness, I made a decision. I was going to have him. I didn't know how or when, but I was going to have him, whatever it cost.

  • Craving For My Stepfather    Something's Wrong

Finn's POV The first week after Naomi left was strange. The house felt different—lighter, somehow. Like a weight had been lifted. I found myself walking through the rooms without looking over my shoulder. I slept through the night without waking at every creak. I laughed, I breathed and I lived. But there was something else. A feeling I couldn't shake. I told myself it was nothing. Probably paranoia. A leftover fear from everything we had been through, but the feeling wouldn't go away. --- It started with small things. A car parked across the street that I'd never seen before. It was there in the morning when I looked out the window, and gone by noon. But it was back the next day. And the next. I mentioned it to Grant over breakfast. "There's a car across the street," I said, keeping my voice casual. "I've seen it a few times." Grant looked up from his newspaper, his brow furrowing. "What kind of car?" "Black sedan. I don't recognize it." He set down the paper, his expressi

  • Craving For My Stepfather    Return

Finn's POV The light in the study flickered. I stood frozen beside the car, Grant's hand gripping mine, my heart pounding so loud I could hear it in my ears. The figure moved again, silhouetted against the curtain. Then the front door opened.Naomi stepped out.She looked different. Thinner. Paler. The usual polish was gone, replaced by something raw and desperate. Her hair was pulled back in a messy knot. Her clothes were rumpled, like she'd been traveling for days."Finn." Her voice was soft. Almost fragile. "Grant. I need to talk to you."I didn't move. I couldn't. The woman who had tried to destroy us was standing in our doorway like nothing had happened."You're supposed to be in another country," Grant said, his voice cold."I went. I got there. And then I—" She stopped, her voice cracking. "I couldn't stay away. I couldn't leave things like this.""Like what?" I heard myself ask.Naomi flinched. "I know. I know what I did. And I know I don't deserve your forgiveness. But I nee

  • Craving For My Stepfather    Cracks in the Quiet

Finn's POV The peace lasted for four days.Four days of waking up in Grant's arms. Four days of long walks and lazy afternoons. Four days of pretending the world didn't exist. It was everything I'd ever wanted. Everything I'd ever dreamed of.But on the fifth morning, the doubts crept back in.I woke before Grant, the pale light of dawn filtering through the curtains. He was still asleep, his arm draped across my waist, his breathing slow and even. I watched him for a long moment, tracing the lines of his face with my eyes. He looked peaceful. Happy. Younger. And I felt a familiar ache in my chest. What happens when we go back? What happens when the world finds out? What happens when he realizes he could have someone easier? Someone less complicated? Someone who wasn't his stepson?I hated the thoughts and i hated myself for having them. But they wouldn't leave. They never did.Grant stirred beside me, his eyes fluttering open. He smiled when he saw me, soft and warm."Morning," he m

  • Craving For My Stepfather    The Cabin

Finn's POV The drive took six hours. Grant drove, his hand resting on my thigh, his thumb tracing lazy circles on my skin. I watched the city fade behind us, replaced by rolling hills and dense forests. The further we got, the lighter I felt. Like I was shedding layers of fear I hadn't even realized I was carrying. "We're almost there," Grant said, glancing at me. "You okay?" I smiled, soft and genuine. "I'm better than okay." He squeezed my thigh, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Good." The cabin was nestled deep in the woods, surrounded by towering pines and a small lake that glittered in the afternoon sun. It was modest but beautiful, wooden walls, a stone fireplace, a wraparound porch with rocking chairs. It looked like something out of a dream. "Grant." I stepped out of the car, my breath catching. "It's perfect." He came up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist. "I wanted somewhere quiet. Somewhere we could just be us." I turned in his arms, pressing a kiss to

  • Craving For My Stepfather    Shelter

Finn's POV The house was quiet. Not the kind of quiet that felt empty or lonely. The kind of quiet that came after a storm, when the rain had stopped and the world was still. That kind of quiet that let you breathe. Naomi was gone. Derek was in custody. The letter was in Grant's safe. For the first time in months, there was no threat looming over us. Just us. I stood in the kitchen, staring out the window at the garden. The sun was setting, casting long shadows across the grass. It was beautiful and peaceful. I'd almost forgotten what peace felt like. Grant came up behind me, his arms wrapping around my waist. He rested his chin on my shoulder, his breath warm against my neck. "What are you thinking about?" he asked. "Nothing." I leaned into him. "Everything. I don't even know." He pressed a kiss to my temple. "That's okay. You don't have to know." We stood there for a long time, just holding each other. The weight of everything we'd been through pressed down on us, but som

  • Craving For My Stepfather    What She Wrote

Finn's POV The envelope felt heavy in Grant's hands. He stood in the foyer, his face pale, his eyes fixed on the letter like it might explode. I was still pressed against him, my arms wrapped around his waist, my heart pounding against his chest."I got it," he'd said. And I'd sobbed with relief. But now, standing here, looking at that envelope, I realized the war wasn't over. It was just beginning."Open it," I said, my voice quiet.Grant looked at me. "Are you sure? Once we know what's in it....""I need to know." I pulled back, meeting his eyes. "I need to know what she wrote. What she was going to use against us."He was silent for a moment. Then he nodded slowly."Let's go to the study."We sat side by side on the leather couch, the envelope between us. Grant's hands were steady as he opened it, mine were shaking. I watched him pull out the contents, a stack of papers, covered in Naomi's elegant handwriting. There were photographs too. Grainy, blurred, but unmistakable.I reache
