25: A Glutton

CONAN —

I sat on my end, anxiously anticipating the arrival of someone—one who had been causing me a sleepless night. Of course, she was none other than Yvonne.

Other guests, like a few of the pack's elders, were already present, waiting for the opening of the event. It was just five minutes away for the event to start, and she was not yet here.

Just then, the door to the garden hall was opened, and everywhere became silent. I concluded she had arrived; however, my expectations turned sore when I saw Sophia entering with two men escorting her.

"Shit. I forgot this vile demon was invited too. I don't even know what mom was up to with this dinner party to host both the sane and the insane in it," I mumbled inwardly, throwing my gaze away from her.

A few minutes later, I saw Kesh, one of the guards, leading a lady inside the event. She was screaming in opulence with the dinner dress she wore. My heart immediately melted, and a smile crept onto my lips.
