YVONNE –

"Yvonne, are you really going back to the Moonstone Pack? I thought you vowed not to visit nor set your eyes on the man who nearly ruined your life." Amanda said.

I sighed, "You will not understand Amanda, I mean...

"You mean what? How could you, Yvonne? How could you agree on the contract? Do you even know the repercussions this might cause you?" She yelled, her gaze cautious. However, her mean words were not going to make me retreat from my conclusion.

I sighed and gently placed the glass of juice I was sipping on the table.

"Amanda, relax. I know what I'm doing. In case you've forgotten, I'm no longer the weakling Yvonne I was those days, and I would never let them trample on me the way they did in the past. Besides, he is the one who needs my help, and I'm not doing it for him even, but for the pack and Mr. Thomas, who offered the request," I responded.

"Really?" Amanda gazed at me in disbelief. "Okay, what if he finds out about the triplets? You'll stand a chance of losing your babies to him because I heard he's still childless," she remarked.

"That's why I requested a contract be signed if that's the case. And there's no way he'll assume they're his kids because no one was aware I was pregnant—not even me—until I came here. They might think I got remarried here and have these babies," I said, with a hint of confidence.

"But...

"But what again, Amanda?"

"The kids bore his resemblance; he doesn't need a DNA test to confirm they're his, especially Liam," Amanda insinuated.

At this point, I had second thoughts about what she was saying.

I went over the window, looking out over the city. There was determination in my eyes. After a few seconds of thinking, I returned to Amanda.

"Then the contract he signed would prevent him from taking them," I responded.

Amanda was still doubtful about my opinion. Her face didn't bear a bright feature.

I went closer to her seat, patted her on the shoulder, and squatted down. "Listen, Amanda, I know this was against my wish six years ago, but there's no way I'll keep running away from them. Moonstone Pack is also my home, not just where I was mated. I need to go back; at least my people will know I'm still alive. Trust me, as long as the contract is concerned, no one is going to hurt me and my kids," I clarified.

Hearing these, Amanda let out a heavy sigh of relief. "If that's the case, then I would accompany you to the pack. So you can have a colleague to seek help from if anything bad happens."

"C'mon Amanda. What about your job? You have to stay here and keep your job; we will be back immediately after the treatment, and it won't even take long," I explained.

"Yvonne, I have a strange feeling about this journey you're trying to partake in. People do go against contracts, and this is about life. So allow me to go with you, so if that as*hole tries to harm any of you, I'll stab him straight to death, trust me," she responded.

A smile crept onto my lips. "Amanda is really a good friend to have this thought about me and my kids, risking her life for an issue she doesn't even know when it happened," I mumbled inwardly.

"What do you say?" she chimed in after hearing nothing from me over her request.

"You're such a darling, Amanda," I let out. I stretched my hands apart, and we hugged passionately. Drops of tears rolled down my cheek as I remembered how we met.

Amanda and I met in college, and fortunately, Amanda found me special and began getting close to me even though I didn't want to do anything with anybody because of how wretched I was. I felt I was the poorest in the whole school and isolated myself from anyone because I didn't want to be insulted over my poor life. I would attend lectures alone and return to my old, outdated dormitory, which even leaked during the rainy season.

Even when Amanda found out about my past, she stood by me, encouraging me that the future still holds good plans for me.

"I love you so much, Amanda; you're truly a friend one would ever wish for." I snared, my voice cold and filled with sorrow, and I tried to keep myself from sobbing. The memories aren't worthy of being remembered because they make me sad because of what I went through.

"It's okay, Yvonne. I love you too and will always stand by you," she responded, and we retreated from each other, still holding our hands.

"Stop crying, Yvonne; you've conquered and shouldn't let your past weigh you down," she said.

I gulped down and let out a sigh of relief. "It's okay, Amanda; I was only emotional."

"It's fine. With time, you'll get rid of it, especially when you might become married to Mr. Thomas," she teased.

"Geez! How did this girl know about this?" I muttered inwardly.

"Well, I and Mr. Thomas are just casual friends, he's my boss even, so don't get it twisted," I responded shyly, pretending not to know what she was saying.

"Yes, that's how it usually starts, from casual friends to matrimonial friends," she teased.

"Whatever," I responded, and we both laughed.

"But honestly, he's a good man. I've been noticing how nice he is to the kids and how he treats you; he really likes you but perhaps hasn't had time to let you know about it," she added.

"Amanda, please spare me that. Or are you jealous?" I winked at her.

"Jealous? Why would I?

Just then, my phone began ringing, and I quickly dazed to the table and picked it up. Upon glancing at the caller ID, I gasped. "It's him, Mr. Thomas," I whispered to Amanda.

I quickly accepted the call.

"Hello, Dr. Yvonne, Please, could you make it to my office? It is important and urgent."

Two Months Later SOPHIA — I was lying helplessly today on the corner of the gutter when a car ran across me, splashing me with dirty water from the potholes as usual. To my greatest surprise, the car halted and the driver alighted. It was a lady. I thought she was coming to scold me for not avoiding her car at first, but I was shocked to my bone marrow as I noticed it was Yvonne. "Oh my goodness! Sophia, is this you?" she screamed as she noticed I'm the person. She must be really happy. Tears streamed down my cheeks immediately because I concluded that she would make a joke of me, but the reverse was the case. She ran to me and helped me get up. "Yvonne, I'm really sorry for everything I have made you pass through in life," I apologized, crying. "It's okay, Sophia. That is not necessary right now. You need proper medical attention first. That is the most important thing," she said, opening the back door of the car for me to enter. "Get in the car so we can leave for the hospita

YVONNE —Three days later, the DNA result was finally out, and I was really happy about it. This was because it proved positive. Conan is actually the father of the kid—he is the father of all my kids. This means I will be going back to the pack. At least he could see his baby for the first time.Although I had agreed with Mr. Thomas on his request to go back to Conan, but I am still sceptical about it.I was still in my room robbing some body cream and powder on my baby when Amanda walked in."You are still worried about this. I thought he made a promise to you about your career. Didn't he?" Amanda asked me as she walked. It seems she had been eavesdropping from the door for a long time before she walked. Of course, for her to notice I was worried, she must have heard the disturbing murmuring I had been having with myself here for almost thirty minutes."Not really, dear. I was just having a debate over something that had... ""A debate?""Whatever, Amanda. Please just let me be. By

  • Craving My Rejected Mate: Mommy, Please Help Daddy!   179: Suspecting Amanda

YVONNE —"Alright, Mommy, but remember your promise," Kiara stated, and they started leaving reluctantly. As soon as they left, I let out a deep sigh of relief. I could not believe that I had just managed to avoid the question Kiara asked without them suspecting I did not want to answer the question."By the time you would be back, I believe Amanda would be at home, so she could continue with you guys. It is only if you guys see me by then that you will be requesting an answer concerning Kiara's question," I mumbled.I picked up my phone and dialed Dr. Naty's phone number. I need to call her and inquire about our deal because she has yet to call me.As I dialed the number, the phone rang for a few seconds, and it ended without being picked up by someone."Maybe she is still busy with work in the hospital," I mumbled, dropping my phone.I went to the kitchen to get lunch ready for my kids because I did not know exactly when Amanda would be back for me to depend on her to prepare lunch

  • Craving My Rejected Mate: Mommy, Please Help Daddy!   178: Where Is Your Auntie?

YVONNE —One Week LaterI was just returning from the hospital, and the thought of my discussion with Mr. Thomas kept flashing through my mind as I was driving.I could not believe that I had just agreed to his request. Only if he knew that I did that out of pressure."Well, the DNA test will conclude," I muttered.I had managed to reach out to Sophia and requested that she get me Dr. Naty's contact information after she objected to doing the task, saying that she is avoiding Conan because he would kill her upon seeing her. It was then that I told her to get me Dr. Naty's phone number so she could do the job for me.At first, Dr. Naty argued about doing the job, but when I told her the reward for the project, she quickly hopped on it.She told me the job would take her a week because of the procedures she was to follow, so Conan would not suspect anything wrong. However, it has been one week since I gave her the job, so I am waiting for her feedback today."I hope this works out well

  • Craving My Rejected Mate: Mommy, Please Help Daddy!   177: A Perfect Idea

YVONNE —But how am I going to do that when none of the two men are with me here in New York City?I thought for some time but could not come up with a valid idea."No. I need to do something fast," I muttered and stood up to leave for my room.As I walked into my room, I remembered that I had spoken with Sophia a few days ago. I recalled how I ended the call with her, promising to call her back only not to call as I said."I think she is the person who can work this out for me since she is in the pack. Yes, she is cunning and could do all sorts of dirty jobs," I mumbled. I picked up my phone to dial her number, and immediately, I realized that she told me she did not have a phone anymore. She only called me that day through a call agent.I decided to secretly get the blood samples of Conan and his hair to do the DNA test in the city without going to the pack just so I could be sure he is truly the father of my baby."So how do I reach this girl, for goodness sake?" I wondered.A few

  • Craving My Rejected Mate: Mommy, Please Help Daddy!   176: A Quickie

YVONNE —"Girl, I could not even believe you did this to me in the office," I said to Amanda as I walked out to the sitting room, where she was busy watching movies."I'm really sorry, dear. For real, I can't believe I did that. It was as if a spell was cast on me. I could not even raise my gaze anymore until the moment he asked for my contact," she stated."Oh, you both exchanged phone numbers as well?" I asked, chuckling.I never even knew all that happened in the office. It was the moment I left for my office to get Mr. Thomas what he requested I should get him that they did that. I had thought he really needed those files, unaware that he was just trying to send me out of the office to excuse them just so they could have their moment."Maybe that was the reason you insisted on going with me just so you could perch yourself on him," I remarked, feeling infuriated. How could she do that to me? How could she stoop so low just for a man?
