Solara’s pov

“Excuse me please, I'm here to issue the bail of Silas Hale.” I stood at the reception area with adrenaline and emotion coursing through my veins. I can’t wait to get Silas out of here. He must have been so scared.

I needed exactly Ten thousand dollars, and that was what I wrote on the blank check Walter gave to me before hurrying down here.

I waited patiently for the lady to search out his name on her keyboard. “I’m sorry, but there is no Silas hale here. He has been released.” My heart almost slipped for a moment there.

He has been released?

How?

Why?

I should ask the warrior in charge, but it’s good enough that he has been released— Maybe they finally believe that he is innocent. That’s a huge relief.
