Grace’s POV

“Patrick,” I called out softly with a smile on my face as I walked into his office, purposefully swaying my hips.

I laughed inwardly as he gawked at me as I walked past him to a chair, I sat down and his eyes traveled down my legs as I crossed them.

He seemed to be short of words and that’s the whole reason behind this seductive outfit I wore.

After what happened yesterday, I found out that the almighty Patrick Vanner has a weakness and… that weakness was me.

That is why I will use my virgin self as bait to get him where I want him, even though I will never let him taste that which he craves for.

I watched his adam’s move up and down as he stared at my thighs which were exposed in the short leather skirt I wore and my top exposed a little too much cleavage.

He gulped and quickly shook his head. His calm, bold expression came back on his face, “How many men saw you coming?”

I furrowed my brows and asked, “Men?” feigning confusion.

He took a deep breath and cleared his throat as he looked away from me, he started to head towards his chair, “Why are you not wearing your uniform?”

He sat down and I said softly to him, “I had forgotten to take it yesterday, Patrick.”

“Fine,” he grunted and looked up at me, he held my gaze for a while before he opened up his laptop, “I will get your office fixed… or would you mind staying in my office?”

“That’s fine,” I said looking around his office, “Your office has enough space for the both of us.”

He scoffed, “You sure about that?” he asked.

I raised a brow. What does he mean?

“I mean, if there is enough space for the both of us, why can’t I breathe when you are in here?” he said and my smile faded, I could see the pain in his eyes.

I looked down at my fingers, “Well sir, if you don’t want me to stay here I could…”

“It’s fine… you can stay in here,” he cleared his throat and started working on his laptop, “I am sorry for yesterday.”

I licked my lips and smiled, “Why are you sorry, Patrick?”

He spared me a gaze for a second before looking back at his Laptop, “Well… that was wrong… I don’t know what came over me.”

I nodded, but kept mute.

“It won’t happen again, Grace,” he said.

I felt my wind caught up as I heard him. Why do those words hurt? Do I want that kiss to happen again?

Focus, Grace… he is the prey, I am supposed to use myself as bait… I shouldn’t be falling for his cheap, lying remarks.

“Do you regret it?” I looked down immediately and those words left my mouth.

“Hell no,” he groaned.

I lifted my gaze and saw him staring at me, his gaze lowered to my lips and his eyes darkened.

“If I regretted it, then would I be craving a second chance?”

I blinked at him as my ears reddened.

“Doctor, there is an emergency,” a nurse called out from outside.

“Grace… wait for me… I’ll be back soon,” he said as he got up and dashed out of the door.

I smiled to myself as I looked around the office, “Now is my chance.”

I got up and sat on his chair, then I started scanning the files on his desk. I scoffed when the only thing I could see was medical reports.

I sighed and looked down at his laptop, I started to browse through as fast as I could, throwing occasional gaze at the door to make sure he wasn’t coming now.

Nothing is in here, I groaned inwardly.

I scanned the office, as my heart throbbed, the sound of the ticking clock heightening my anxiety, “I need to find something… I really need to.”

***

I slugged on the chair as I huffed, looking around the office in defeat, hoping to find a spot that I had missed, luckily I’ll just check it and find the evidence I need.

Patrick must be really clever to keep all his dirty paperworks out of his office.

I ran my hand through my hair as I looked up at the clock. Shit, It has been five hours since Patrick left and he isn’t back yet.

My stomach groaned as I sighed, “I’m so hungry… I guess I missed lunch.”

“Come have dinner with me,” I jolted as I heard Patrick voice behind me.

When did he come in? I turned and saw him smiling at me with his shoulder resting on the frame of the door.

“Dinner… at my place… Tonight?” he said, wearing a smirk.

Hell yes. I screamed in my head. I licked my lips and looked down as I tried to hide my excitement.

“No sir, I wouldn’t want to cause you any inconvenience, sir,” I lied, hoping he would press on.

“No Grace… I made you wait here all day while I was busy with work, so it’s only civil to treat you to dinner.”

I looked up and smiled at him, “Fine then… Since you insist.”

He opened his hand for me, “Let's go.”

I furrowed my brows, “Now?”

“Yes… now… because we have a lot of cooking to do.”

I smiled and took his hand.

***

Patrick’s car arrived in front of his apartment, he got down and helped me open the door.

“Nice apartment,” I complimented as he led me inside. He smiled and nodded at me.

We reached his large sitting room and he excused himself and went up the stairs.

I took a deep breath and dropped my purse as I looked around his apartment.

“Rich…” I said with a frown, “After you ruined my dad… now wait while I take all this from you.”

I stared into space, as I thought of my dad’s pathetic situation in prison.

“Did I keep you waiting?”

I wore a sweet smile and I turned back to see Patrick, jogging down the stairs, he wore a shirt with a denim short.

“Not at all,” I said and Patrick walked up to me, and with a smile, he took my hand.

“Come with me to the kitchen.”

I nodded my head and got up to my feet, at that moment the front door bell rang and I turned to it.

“Give me a minute,” Patrick said and walked up to the door.

I followed him with my gaze and I folded my arms over my chest as I licked my lips.

Who could that be? I thought. I got my answer almost immediately when a fair-skinned, slim lady walked inside, immediately he opened the door.

“How are you, baby,” she said as she rubbed her arms on his chest.

“Baby? Who is this lady?” I thought as I breathed in deeply, my chest tightening as I saw how she touched him.

Patrick looked back at me as he removed her hand from his chest, she followed his gaze, and she frowned the moment she saw me.

“Who is this?” she whispered as she left him and stormed towards me.

“Melissa… I told you not to come tonight,” Patrick said as he followed her and grabbed her arm before she reached me.

I gulped as I watched Patrick grit his teeth like he was trying to hide his anger, I had never seen him this angry before.

“Who the hell is this bitch!!” Melissa growled as she tried to reach for me, I stepped back and fell back on the chair, speechless.

“Melissa!!!” Patrick thundered as he flung Melissa away from me, she crashed and landed on the ground.

I was going to blackmail her with a video of myself taking her virginity. That was the worse torture.”“What about what she did to us, man?” I furrowed my brows as I turned back to see myself sitting in my chair. He looked dull, dark circles were under his eyes and his hair was disheveled. “What?” I asked my disheveled self. “She hurt us, so she deserves everything you choose to do with her. You couldn’t even sleep last night. See what she made of you.”I gulped. Running my hand through my hair. “Anything? Even to do that to an innocent girl?” “Fuck. who said she was innocent because she was a fucking virgin. Have you seen what she did to us man.” he drew a deep breath. “We had never been in love. At this time?” What is that look on his face? Is he not happy I kept myself and I’m willing to let him take it now? I threw my hands around his neck as I pulled him down for a kiss. “Hmm, baby. Forget all of that and take me already.” Our lips met and I kissed him hungrily, throwing my legs around his waist. “Grace– Ughh,” he groaned as pulled away from the kiss, our lips smacking. “Grace– look at me.”I furrowed my brows, pouting, as I took a deep breath and stared at him. But, what was there to ask her for? For a moment there I was so stupid again to think that she would admit and blow her cover. I’m stupid, stupid… again.
