All I want

"Thank you," she said softly.

"For what?" he asked confused. "I just told you that I love you."

"No, not for the fact that you love me," she replied softly. "I'm glad that you told me that, Max."

"Oh," he breathed. "I'm glad you told me that too."

He smiled tenderly at her.

"Now go," he instructed gently. "Take a shower. Then start getting ready to leave for work. Take it easy today. Don't work yourself too hard, okay?"

She nodded quickly before moving away from him and heading towards the bathroom. She stepped inside and shut the door behind her. She sank down against it and covered her face with her hands.

She took a deep breath before turning around. She opened the door and looked back at him. His face was full of concern. He reached out his hand to help her. He gave her one of his smiles as he helped her back onto her feet.

"You'll be alright, won't you?" he asked worriedly.

"I'll be fine," she said, smiling at him.

"Good luck," he said. "I'll see you soon."
