9. The Fire Burn In The Chest

Noah's POV

I snuck into the Black Hell hideout super early this morning. I actually wanted to go last night, or attend the fireworks show, but it was a no-go. Cops were everywhere. They know who I am. If I got caught anywhere near the bikers, my dad would go on another tantrum. I got in just as the bar staff were starting to prepare for the day. It was quiet. The cops weren't circling the bar anymore after making sure I wasn't there.

When I walked in, James was crashed on the sofa, hugging Shirley. They were butt naked. I sighed, just taking in our open relationship that sometimes left me speechless.

"Guys," I called out softly, but James is super sensitive. He's got this insane instinct, so he's not easily caught off guard when he sleeps.

"Hey, you."

James rubbed his face, looking at Shirley, who was sprawled on top of his muscular, tanned body. He patted Shirley's shoulder, and the wild woman instantly woke up. Seeing me made Shirley smile. She immediately stood up, walked over to me, and hugged me. I let her grab my lips, kissing them wildly. I just kissed her back out of solidarity. I glanced at James, who couldn't stop Shirley from being inappropriate with me. He quickly put on his jeans and black tank top.

"You already know?" I gently pushed Shirley away because I needed to talk about this.

"The fireworks show?"

I gave a slow nod. "Yep…"

"The Fallen Bike made a mess. No Black Hell bikers were found there."

"Did the cops mess this place up yesterday, James? I guess I won't be coming here often until things settle down." It was a forced decision for Black Hell's safety.

Shirley looked at me. She was serious, but also teasing.

"Don't tell me you're gonna focus on that swan girl."

I hadn't even mentioned Casey.

"Of course not," I replied in one breath.

James looked at me as if he were demanding that I say something. Shirley did too. They both seemed unsatisfied with my answer.

"Why are you guys staring at me? What the hell?"

James got up, then clapped me on the shoulder.

"I don't care if you wanna mess around with that girl, Noah, but you also know Fallen Bike will target anyone close to us. Especially since your dad's the Mayor. I don't want you or anyone else getting into trouble. Remember, we never start trouble first."

James's gaze was intense, showing precise determination and warning. Black Hell was everything to him. He'd do anything to maintain the gang's existence. Black Hell isn't just a biker gang; James's life depended on it.

"I know, James."

"Don't worry about the fireworks mess. The cops won't find anything about Black Hell in that chaos. You should head to campus. Your dad's probably watching you right now."

"Alright."

I went to my room to change. Shirley walked in, still naked. She hugged me when I wasn't wearing a shirt. Her gaze showed she wanted me.

"Not now, Shirley. I gotta go to campus."

"Since when are you so serious about your education?" she purred, tracing her hand over my body.

I closed my eyes. Her touch was clear, especially when her tongue brushed my chest. I shivered.

"Shit, Shirley. I can't. I gotta go."

Shirley looked disappointed, but I really had things to do. After changing, I quickly left. Shirley slammed the door shut, making a loud noise.

"Next time we'll do it together," James said. "She's been moody ever since you brought Casey here."

I smirked. "Marry her so she stops being moody, or find another partner who can satisfy her urges."

James laughed. I left the hideout and headed to campus. On the way, I still saw cops cruising the streets, keeping watch. Things like this really got my adrenaline pumping. For some reason, I have a fascination with the dark and wild world. I know it clashes with my dad's profession, but my life is my choice. I just wanna do whatever I want.

I walked onto campus, heading towards the department building. Honestly, I'm not really into college, but it's my dad's only request. I don't want him digging deeper into my life or interfering, 'cause that would affect Black Hell, so I'm playing along with the whole college thing.

Something unusual happened when I accidentally ran into Casey, who had just arrived in this city. I wondered how she could move to this chaotic city. She glowed, but her face looked dim. When she saw me and my gang, she looked at us like we were dirt. A look I'd never seen in my life because no one would ever dare look at me like that.

I headed to my class on the second floor. I pushed through the crowd of students. Their eyes were on me. I heard chatter about last night's chaos. It seemed more serious than usual. I heard there were some victims from Wood Town. I don't know how serious it is yet. My dad hasn't made any moves.

"Looks like Lucas has a crush on that quiet girl."

"Oh, really? What's so interesting about her? They say she's from the capital. Why does she look so plain? Lucas is charming. Why would he go after some country bumpkin?"

I heard voices from some random girls as I passed by. Instantly, I knew they were talking about Casey. I looked towards one of the classrooms where Casey was. My schedule was in another class, but a sudden surge of energy in my chest made me feel like I had to attend this class.

Casey was chatting with Lucas, the guy she had walked with yesterday as well. Well, he's a simple guy, clean-cut, and seems bright. He's a hundred eighty degrees different from me, who's clearly a rebel. They looked good together, even laughing and joking. Casey was smiling. She was smiling at Lucas. She never did that with me. From the beginning, she always looked at me with disgust. She hated me.

I know normal women would definitely pick Lucas over me, but actually, I'm superior in terms of finances and power. I can also protect Casey better than Lucas. Lucas is a coward. I'm sure in a tough situation, he'd only care about himself. And I'm the Mayor's son, even though I don't actually like being part of my dad's profession. I must admit that I gain privileges from it.

Accidentally, Lucas's gaze met mine. I waited calmly, even though my fists were clenched. Lucas looked down. I knew he wouldn't dare face me. Now it was Casey's turn to look. She was more extreme because she immediately turned her face away.

I pulled out my phone, then sent her the video of my kiss with Casey. She saw it, then looked at me, glaring. Without being asked, she immediately walked over to me.

"What are you doing?"

"I told you I'd send you that video."

"Just delete it. I don't need it."

"Really? How about I send it to the campus bulletin?"

"You wouldn't."

"You wanna test me? I know the campus bulletin chief pretty well." I got ready with my phone. Don't call me Noah if I can't get what I want. I'm never afraid of any risks I have to face.

"Noah…"

"Casey…”
