"I'm sorry, Dude, but Casey can't answer your call, and it looks like you should probably stop calling her from now on."
I couldn't believe Noah said that to Anthony.
"What the hell? Who are you? Give her the phone back!" I listened to what Anthony said.
I tried to snatch my phone back. No, no way. I wasn't going to let Noah meddle in my business. Whatever happened between me and Anthony, I'd sort it out myself.
"Sorry, that's not happening." Just like that, Noah hung up. He just cut off Anthony's call. I was shocked; my jaw dropped at Noah's absurd behavior.
My body instantly felt helpless. What would Anthony think of me? He'd definitely think I was cheating. Wait, but he was the one who cheated.
"You need to dump that jerk." Noah typed something on my phone, then handed it back to me. "I'll send you our kissing video. That's my little gift for your revenge, and whether you use it or not is up to you."
I stared at Noah, speechless. My head was spinning, like a million problems were hitting me all at once. I just wanted a calm, peaceful life.
"Hello?" Noah waved a hand in front of my face. "Get inside. Don't let anyone see you. Make sure your window stays locked."
I snapped out of it when Noah spoke. I snatched my phone back instantly. I gave Noah a sharp look. He was someone I totally hated, but somehow, I felt this thrilling experience I'd never had before. I hurried into the house, leaving Noah outside. Now I was definitely dead meat in my mom's hands.
I opened the door slowly. The living room light was off. Looks like Mom was already asleep. I walked super quietly to my room so I wouldn't wake her, opening my bedroom door carefully. Once I was finally in my room, I felt so relieved.
"Tomorrow's gonna be a tough day," I mumbled.
***
I was in a bed, specifically in a room at the Black Hell headquarters. The room where Noah and Sherly had enjoyed their steamy activity, with loud moans creating intense tension. I pretended not to know, but I totally heard them. Their sounds of them having sex, not caring that I was there. And now, somehow, I was lying here. I was way too innocent, just wearing a pink bra and a super short skirt that definitely wasn't mine.
A guy walked into the room with a confident stride. His voice was familiar. He stared at me, full of curiosity, smiling.
"Nice, Baby," he said, sticking out his tongue like he'd just found prey.
He came over, holding me in his rough embrace. What was this? I'd never done anything like this. I felt nervous, but at the same time, I felt aroused.
"Noah…" I just blurted out his name.
"Yes, Baby. Let's fuck."
Noah's hand squeezed my breast, touching it with a wild gaze. Meanwhile, his lips were already on mine. His tongue entered my mouth and danced around there. I flinched and felt a bit choked, but strangely, I actually enjoyed the touch.
"Mmmh…" I nearly jumped when Noah pulled off my bra and tossed it. My breasts were automatically exposed, making Noah's eyes roam over them wildly.
"This is so interesting," Noah said, smiling. He touched the tip, twirling it with his fingers. Just a slight movement, but it made me squirm. The sensation was incredible. I felt like an electric current was running through my entire body.
"You like it?" Noah asked, suckling.
My hand reflexively pulled Noah's hair. He was touching me as if I'd permitted him. Well, but how did I even end up here?
Noah stripped off my skirt, looking at the transparent thong I was wearing. He tore it, slipping his finger through a small opening. I felt like I'd been stung. My mouth made a sound I didn't even realize. My legs automatically opened, letting Noah's hand glide over my private area.
Now, Noah pulled down his zipper. He took out his penis in front of me. My eyes widened. He leaned over me specifically, but his hands kept moving, feeling my body. I felt hot. My legs were burning, but not from fire, but from burning passion. Noah was truly dominating. He penetrated smoothly. My mouth hung open, making sounds.
"Noah, ah!"
"Casey, are you going to wake up or not! What time is it? You need to leave for college!"
I opened my eyes, surprised that I was now in my room. I was confused. What happened?
"Oh, shit!"
I touched my underwear, and it was already wet. I closed my eyes, annoyed. I had dreamed about having sex with Noah. This was insane. The dream felt so real. I got up, a little annoyed that my bedsheet was wet. When I checked the time, my eyes popped open, and I had to get to campus!
"Oh, my gosh! I’ll be late!"
I quickly got ready for campus, brushing my teeth and washing my face first. I was in a hurry. I went to the kitchen to grab a slice of bread. My mom stood there without saying anything as I walked past.
"Why did you lie?" My mom finally spoke as I stepped out. I stopped immediately.
"Mom, I'm almost late."
"You weren't in your room last night. Where were you?"
"I had to go to the library to find some references," I lied. For some reason, I am so good at lying now.
I gave her a pleading look because I really had to get to campus. My mom sighed.
"This is my warning, Casey. I don't want to repeat it."
I went over to my mom and hugged her.
"Thank you, Mom."
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, all fine. I gotta go."
My mom nodded. I then quickly left the house. I rushed to campus.
***
"Huft!"
I was relieved to arrive at class on time, finally. After reaching the campus gate, I immediately ran to my department building, then to my classroom. I thought I was late. I hate missing lectures. I hate being late.
"Are you okay, Casey?"
"Oh, Lucas. Yeah, I'm okay," I replied, a little surprised. Lucas's expression looked uncomfortable.
"You know what, Casey? There was a riot downtown because of a biker gang. Yesterday you were with Noah. I'm worried about you. He's often seen with those bikers."
"Oh, well. I wasn't hanging out with Noah. He just dropped me off," I lied. "What happened anyway?"
I saw that the students in this class seemed to be eagerly discussing a topic.
"In this town, biker gangs are like a bogeyman, almost a legend. The city government is strongly fighting against them because they often cause disturbances. And yesterday, during the fireworks show, a clash between gangs occurred. Some people got hurt, but no one wants to take responsibility. The mayor is furious."
I frowned. It seemed like Mr. Adam got a call from the sheriff last night. Was it about this? Noah also showed strange signs.
"I don't know if I should say this, but stay away from Noah. He's the mayor's son, but there's a rumor that he's involved with a biker gang. No one dares to mention this because it could stir up sensitive issues about his father. I'm telling you this because I'm worried about you, Casey."
I already suspected something was off with Noah. He wasn't just a rebellious jerk. Turns out he was involved with a troublesome group.
The ironic part was that I was stuck right in the middle of it, and I had no idea how to get out of this mess.
Noah's POV“What kind of game are you playing, Becky? Sherly? Why the hell should I be suspicious of her?”Becky burst out laughing, cracking up hard.“You’re such a fucking idiot, Noah.”Becky glanced at his smartwatch.“Casey’s out of the house, right?”His words hit me like a slap. He’d been watching Casey. I’d fucked up big time.“Jordan, go! Find Casey!” I ordered.“Too late, Noah.”Becky smirked and held up his phone. The picture was crystal clear, Casey’s car, but Sherly was the one behind the wheel. My chest tightened instantly. Sherly? She was in on this with Becky? Why? Shouldn’t Sherly hate Becky for killing James?“Ah, you need to know one thing, Noah.” Becky smiled smugly.“What the hell, Becky.”“Sherly already knows everything.”“What?”“James was gonna die… I mean, yeah, the real target back then was actually Casey, but you and Casey didn’t show up. So…”A chill ran down the back of my neck. What the fuck did he just say? Sherly already knew? She’d known about this the
Casey's POVI didn’t want to force Noah. Even though I felt a pang of disappointment when he told me he’d met Sherly, I had to admit he was being a gentleman by choosing to be honest.“I’ve always felt guilty about Sherly, Casey. She lost James because of me.”I felt the same way. None of this would have happened if James hadn’t saved me that day.“Should we do something for Sherly, Noah?”“No. Don’t do anything.”I noticed Noah’s impulsive response.“Why?”“You know… she doesn’t really like you.”“She hated me.”“No, it’s not like that, Casey.”“Indeed. She said it herself, and I’m not going to force her to talk to me. So…”I tried to push all these feelings aside, but the guilt was overwhelming. It felt like I had played a huge part in James’s death.Noah stroked my cheek.“I’m sorry,” he said.“Why are you apologizing?”“Because I dragged you into all this.”“You didn’t. This is all because of me. James died because of me.”“No, no, Casey. I knew exactly what kind of world I lived
Casey’s POV"Ow!"The knife slipped as I was peeling a melon, slicing into my finger."Casey."Jordan rushed over to me. "What's wrong?""No… nothing," I said, showing him my finger. "It’s just a little blood."Jordan didn’t say much. He grabbed my hand, led me to the sink, and ran cold water over the cut."Seriously, Jordan, I’m fine.""You’re distracted."To be honest, I was a nervous wreck. It was almost nine p.m. and he still wasn’t home. Jordan had mentioned that Noah would be late because of some business. With everything going on, I couldn't shake my anxiety. Becky could easily be meeting him in secret, or vice versa. I couldn't bear the thought of what happened to James happening to Noah."When is Noah coming back?""I'm not entirely sure, but he’ll be home."Why did I get the feeling Jordan knew something he wasn’t telling me?"Jordan."He avoided my gaze, reaching up to the overhead cabinet to grab the first-aid kit. He pulled out some ointment and gently applied it to my wo
Casey's POVJordan had been acting weird ever since we left the church. I had no idea who he’d seen there, but he’d seemed on edge the whole time. It was rare to see Jordan show that much emotion or uneasiness. He was usually so composed. Even when we sat down to eat at a restaurant, he kept scanning our surroundings like he was expecting something to happen.“You okay, Jordan?”“Hmm.” He looked at me, snapped out of his thoughts. “Yeah. I’m fine. Why?”Something felt off. Jordan was hiding something. What was going on? Or maybe something had happened to him that he wasn’t telling me.“Are you uncomfortable being with me? I mean. I told Noah about what happened between us. He doesn’t…”“Look, Casey.” Jordan gave a dry, knowing smirk. “Didn’t we agree we wouldn’t talk about what happened in your car? I’ve already put all that behind me. So, there’s no problem at all.”“Then why do you seem so tense? Your attitude is making me nervous.”“I just have a feeling…” Jordan took a deep breat
Casey POVI know better than anyone that the world is a cruel place. Back when I worked as a journalist, I saw firsthand just how risky my job could be whenever I wrote stories that affected people’s lives. I always stayed behind the scenes, writing regardless of the situation, and I did my work with integrity. I was always driven to do better, even though Arnold never once appreciated what I did.He acted like every bit of success was only thanks to his own hard work. Then I started my own social media channels, and suddenly, all eyes were on me. People were leaving comments about Becky, comments about Noah. My head was spinning from it all, but like I told Noah before, it didn’t stop there. Several people sent me direct messages with proof from years ago, confirming that Becky really was involved in violent acts and a biker gang.Turns out, I wasn’t the only one Becky had mistreated. There were other women right here in Wood Town who went through the exact same thing. Most of them h
Noah’s POVI’m pretty sure my voice boomed so loudly that Casey actually flinched and stepped back, completely shocked by my words. I don’t even know how to control myself right now. My blood is absolutely boiling. I could literally kill her this moment.Instead, all I heard was a mocking laugh. Becky’s voice on the other end of the line, dripping with satisfaction.“Really? Just try, Noah. I’m so fucking waiting for you.”My chest heaved. I had to find her. After all the hell I’d been through, she was still coming after Casey.“Stay the fuck away from Casey, Becky. I’m not playing games!”“Noah… little boy. Casey is just too tempting for me. Especially after that crazy interview you did with her.”“Just admit you’re terrified the cops will find out the truth, Becky.”“The truth?” Becky laughed again. “Which truth is that, Noah? The truth that you shot James? You held the gun. You’re the one who shot him. I wasn’t even there when the cops showed up.”I gripped Casey’s phone so hard my
Casey POV"Fucking asshole!" I almost slapped Noah, but he just swatted my hand away, grabbing it with one hand. He smirked, clearly enjoying having control over me."Don't even try fighting me, Girl. You're completely under my control.""Noah, stop it…"A knock at the door was like a godsend, and
Casey POV My mood was totally shot, especially when I saw Noah, this guy I didn't even know, looking at my phone and laughing at me. I snatched my phone back, hard. All the fear I had a second ago just poof, vanished."That's none of your business!" I yelled."Don't lie to yourself. Your eyes can'
Casey POV My first day of college was pretty uneventful. I just tried to keep to myself and not talk to anyone, especially not that guy I ran into before class. After all my classes wrapped up for the day, I headed to the admin office to sort some stuff out. I still hadn't fully submitted my person
Casey POVI sighed, stepping out of the car. Just this simple house, tiny garden out front. I have no idea how my mom even scored this place. After the divorce, she just took me out from our old house and dragged me to this town, like, way out in the middle of nowhere, far from the city grind."Cas
