THIRTY-ONE

TINA POV

Clan leader Ricardo was nice enough to give me a room to stay in for the night. It was strange I have never felt safe sleeping in a place I don’t know, but here I had the best night's sleep I have ever had. Maybe it was because I knew that my father finally couldn't join me in the middle of the night. I had a shower and Glen’s mate Danna, I finally found out her name, lent me one of her sundresses.

I exit the room and head to where Ricardo told me the kitchen was. I stand in the doorway and just watch. It was like any normal morning at the packhouse. Kids ran in and out, grabbing breakfast on the way out the door to do whatever they had planned for the day. Danna sees me and says,

“Good morning Tina, would you like some breakfast before you head back to your pack?”

“Yes, I would love some. What’s on offer?”

“Well, we have all sorts of cereal, which the kids seem to love. We have Bacon, Eggs, Waffles, Toast, Pancakes or I can cook anything else you would like?”
