LOGINClara accidentally sets her shed on fire, causing the flames to spread to the surrounding trees. The fire quickly gets out of hand until a firefighter named Ben arrives and helps her put it out. When Ben shows up accusing Clara of lying about how the fire really started Clara reveals to Ben that she has fire powers that she cannot control, which is why she is living in isolation in the forests near Lake Superior. Clara and Ben are quickly drawn to each other. Ben and Clara have amazing chemistry, that is until Rod comes along. As it would turn out Ben has a few secrets of his own and this isn’t the first witch he has met. Will Clara learn to control her powers?

“Clara, it’s only until you learn to control your powers” my mother told me. “I can’t do this on my own” I held back tears. “You have no choice, it’s not safe for you to stay here.” **** I can’t believe this, I’ve done it again. Everything around me is slowly catching on fire. Why can’t I learn to control myself? No wonder my mother banished me out here. I don’t even know how I did it this time but I set my shed on fire. Now the flames are spreading to the evergreen trees that are surrounding it. This could be really bad. All my paintings are in that shed. There is no way I can save them, and they are going to be lost in the fire. The fire crackles and roars around me, and I can feel the heat burning hot. It hasn’t rained in at least a week, the forest is very dry. For a moment the flames dance in a way that makes me think they are trying to tell a story. I shake my head but the flames continue to form the shape of people. Suddenly the people begin the run from a darkness that makes the flames disappear for a moment. What is going on? The smoke fills my lungs and I begin to gasp for air. I look up, the smoke in the sky is black and thick. The smell of burnt pine is making it hard to breathe. Panic is setting in as I realize I have no way to put the fire out. Anytime trouble starts I have a hard time focusing and I can’t think, like right now. Come on Clara you have to do something. I look around me, I can feel my heart racing faster than the speed of light. I can barely see through the sweat dripping in my eyes, I spit my gardenhose in the lake -I can use that to put to try putting out the fire. Surprisingly, I hear fire sirens in the distance. I am in the middle of nowhere on highway 17 and thought for sure I was on my own out here. I guess someone must have seen all the smoke and called the fire department when they were driving by. I am not sure how I am going to explain this to them, but I am glad to have the help. I grab the hose and start spraying the shed. The water coming from my small hose is barely making a dent in the fire that is beginning to consume everything around me. It doesn’t take long for the fire to spread to all the trees that are surrounding my shed. The heat of the fire is beginning to feel unbearable, it’s completely out of control and if I don’t do something fast the whole forest might burn down. Just in time, a small truck with sirens pulls down my long dirt driveway and parks. A tall man in fire gear jumps out and runs over. He looks to be alone. If it’s just him we are likely doomed. “Is there any water on this property?” He asked without hesitation. “Yes, the lakes right over here” I said pointing to the lake behind my small wood Bunkie; which was next to catch fire. The firefighter quickly runs to the truck, pulls out a large hose, and brings one end with a large pump over to the water. He places the hose in the water and turns the machine on. I can tell he’s done this probably dozens of times. Once the hose is in the water he sprinted back to the truck and begins to turn the nozzles. Water starts gushing out of the hose. He runs over to the fire and pointed the stream of water at the base of the trees that are blazing with fire. I help him with my small hose and together we attempt to put the fire out. After what feels like an eternity the flames are under control, and it finally it looks like everything might be okay. The air is still smokey and I might pass out from smoke inhalation. Together we put the last of the fire that I started out, I breathe a sigh of relief. This is the second time I have almost burned a forest down. The firefighter puts the hose down and walks over to where I am standing and asks, “What exactly happened?” I can’t tell him the truth. I try to form a lie on the spot. I am not a great liar and what can I even say? “I was working in my shed and the something electrical caught fire.” I lied; it was the best I could do under pressure “it happened so fast. I am so glad you got here when you did.” He squints his eyes while he’s listening to my fabricated story, I am not sure if he believed me or not. “Interesting” he said finally. “You need to be more careful out here you could have burned the whole forest down.” I was doing the best I could. “Thank you for coming when you did” I said, “I thought I was all alone out here.” “What are you even doing out here?” He asked, “you are in the middle of nowhere. You’re lucky I was out here with fire equipment.” He takes off his helmet and I see his face for the first time. The man that saved me is quite handsome. He has dirty blonde hair and the greenest eyes I have ever seen. His eyes look soft like he’s holding onto something deep in his heart. “I am Ben” he holds out his gloved hand. “My name is Clara” I said shaking his wet glove. “What are you doing out here in the middle of nowhere?” “I own a small property down the highway and luckily I saw all the smoke and came over” he begins “I am a volunteer firefighter out here. But it has been a while since I put out a fire, especially one like this.” “Well, I am lucky to have you out here.” I said. A man in a uniform is sexy, but a firefighter who just saved my cabin from flames has given me a feeling in my stomach I’ve never felt before. A tree beside us bursts back into flames and Ben runs to get the hose to put it out. Oh no not again.“I feel like you aren’t telling me everything” Tyler said during the car ride. He knew I was an awful liar. “I don’t have time to explain everything to you right now” I snapped and I didn’t want to anyways. “We have some time and you look like you need to get some things off your chest. Come on you know I’m here for you.”“If you thought I was crazy you before” I laughed, “you might thing I belong in a nut house now.”“No, I’ll believe you no matter how crazy it all sounds- I promise.” He sounded sincere. I started to tell him about my soul living forever and how I’d been around for over 500 years. I told him about all the lives I’d lived; even the one I where I was a hunter. Then I told him about how I screwed things up with both Ben and Rod; which in some weird way was the most painful part. “Tyler I was responsible for building the hunter army that is hurting all those witches.”“Clara you know that wasn’t your fault right?”“That’s where you’re wrong. I was their lea
I’m back outside my bunkie, oh how I missed this place and the days where all I had to worry about was lightning forests on fire. I turn around and the shed hasn’t been burnt down yet. It worked and the crystal is gone just like the dragon told us. Even though I am not in any immediate danger I want to talk to my mother as soon as I can. I call her cell phone- no answer, we were going to have a serious talk about this. On the bright side, now I had an idea of where to look for her. But I needed help, going alone would be too dangerous and I only had once chance at this. Now that I know how to teleport I travel to the cabin where Ben’s staying, this is going to come in handy. I spot his motorcycle and the small fire truck out front; good he’s here. I run up to the door and knock hard. “Hello” he opened the door. Once he saw who I was there was a flicker of disbelief. They say you have one second to see someone’s true reaction on their face and I know he recognizes me. “B
I remember the kings voice warning me “not all the lives are good.” Like he knew all along, but didn’t want to tell me. I turn towards him and he has a shameful look on his face “why didn’t you warn me.”“Somethings you have to find out on your own Clara” he sad sadly. I had one life left to remember and it was the worst one I’d ever lived; it also happened to be my last life. I was a hunter and not just one of them, their leader. I’m so ashamed I once fell to dark magic and even worse - Damien was my lover. I had helped him slaughter so many witches. Or more like he had helped me. Tears came to my eyes, I was the reason they were so strong. Damien was in a different body which explains why I didn’t recognize him before. His soul was too evil, I had blocked him out. It was my idea to create the ritual with the elemental powers. All of this was my fault. The evil I created got my mother and Hope killed. A small part of me missed the feeling of being so powerful from stealing
Why should I make a deal with you when I can just melt you and take the crystal once you’re dead” I yelled.“Because before you kill me I can take down at least one of your friends, I suspect you don’t want that. Plus I have something to offer you” he pleaded. “How do I know you won’t betray me like everyone else” I screamed. “Clara, your anger is not with him, he is but a protector” the king whispers to me. “We can’t trust him. He did eat me.” The last time the king and I were looking for the crystal it was for our own personal gain. “His job is to protect this magic at all costs. This crystal in the wrong hands could destroy the world- you know that.”“Listen to the old man” the dragon hissed. King Salazar was a wise man, I’d learnt many lives ago to trust him. “What can you offer me?” I pushed the magma back into the earth, I’d spare him for now. “I will give you one of my scales, they are indestructible and can be used to create potions you’ve never heard of” he of
“Thank you for freeing us” they spoke, “too long were we under control by that horrendous demon, watching all those poor people being murdered.”Have they been trapped here all these years? It must have been hundreds of years since the king and I had been here last. “We are glad to help, would y

The next morning, I wake up groggy, the strange words from my mother's journal haunting my once peaceful dreams. My plan today is to find Ben and I’m going to do whatever it takes. I get up and put the kettle on. I hear my moms voice in my head “ a strong day starts with a strong drink.” I was ne
