THORNE'S POV

"Seriously? Are you still sulking over Lyra?" Tank said, appearing behind me.

"No, does it look like I am?" I responded.

"I wouldn't say yes but I sure would say that you look like you're frowning even though you're smiling at Ryan." He said.

"Then it must be that obvious." I shrugged.

"Don't fret, she would be back soon. It's only just… six pm?"

"Exactly why I'm worried and Ryan is too. She left without a goodbye, isn't answering her phone calls and now I don't even know where to start looking for her."

"She probably plans to spend more than a day there but have you tried using the mind link?"

"Yes and she's blocking. She did this to me purposefully." I hit my fisted arms against my lips in frustration.

"Ryan isn't as worried as you are. He is taking it like a man should."

"This isn't the time to begin your usual teasing Tank. I'm talking about something that hurts me right now, alright." My nostrils flared.

LIRA'S POV The room was quite, dark, sullen, I didn't know where I was and I could hardly see anything except for Lyra and Elyan's faces in front of me. There was a small desk lamp standing right in the middle of the table, the table wasn't that big and it's width was probably somewhere around twenty centimeters. I heaved a sigh, now is to begining the investigation process. I already knew why they brought me here, it was something I knew I signed up for the moment I told Tank the truth and… it caused a ache in my heart knowing he hadn't come to see me ever since then. "We're just going to keep this simple and fast, Lira." Elyan started as he folded his arms. "What's your name?" He asked. I had not the guts to ask if that part of the process was totally necessary or not more or less consider the underlying fact that they knew what my name was. "Lira." "Your full name, Lira. It's thoroughly necessary." He clarified. "Okay…" I muttered with a

(THIRD-PERSON POV) — Writer's pov "How is Thorne?" Tank asked sneaking into the room as he had just avoided being caught by the citadel's guards. He wasn't a fugitive, no , but having a strange face around especially within the pack house's walls would arouse attention which he didn't want at this exact moment. For now, they had yet to tell Peter, Thorne's uncle about his situation, and Tank didn't think he had the guts to stand in front of the regent and tell him that. Raphael would have to be the one to take on that mantle. "I don't know, I haven't seen any movement of changes. He is still the same as yesterday." Raphael responded as he took a few notes. Tank stepped into the room properly and locked the door, "You know the regent might soon catch up to it." Tank started, Raphael paused what he was doing and asked. "Catch up to what?" "I mean not us being here but he might soon catch up to the fact that there is something wrong with Thorne." He

DUNCAN'S POV "Are you seriously asking me this?" I gritted. "Yes." She whispered without remorse. "I want to know why Selena would suddenly leave the pack when you're like this." "Haven't I already told you?, now give me back that blanket." Goddess curse the rogue who put me under this ailment. I swear I would have grabbed the sheets from her hands if it wasn't for it. "I won't, not until you tell me the truth, the real truth." "And what exactly would you do to me if I don't, huh?" I threw at her. I couldn't imagine her doing me any harm, not because she couldn't, I mean she already had an advantage but because I am an Alpha and whether or not she would accept, I controlled her. Sophia exhaled and threw the blanket at me. "How long before she gets back?" She questioned going around the bed as she hit a pen which had suddenly appeared out of no where continuously on her palm. "Why exactly are you asking me that? Is it any of your business. For

DUNCAN'S POV "Good day, Alpha." Ginnah bowed her head in greeting as she approached clutching her bag in her hands. With just a look, I could tell she was frightened or rather nervous, having just turned seventeen and an apprentice healer, she showed potential as a good healer, which was why I had allowed for her to treat me in Selene's absence. I could think of no other alternative especially not when Ginnah was learning from the very best of them all. "Hello Ginnah. Why are you here today?" I knew why she was sure but it wouldn't hurt anyone to hear her say it herself, would it? "I brought your medicine." She said in an hurry, the bag in her hand tumbled down and the small jars of medicine fell out of it. "I'm sorry l." She rasped. "I would just pack them up." She crept on the floor and packed the jars one after the other. I could tell she was intimidated by me but I had no idea why. Right now, I was nothing more than a mere bag of bones and no skin, I

LYRA'S POV "Oh." I reacted at that. "I guess it's a good thing we never got to face them." I choked on my spit saying that. "Are you alright?' Selena tilted her head at me. "Yeah, I'm okay." I said with a nod. "I think I would just have a maid get you something to drink. Coming here was quite a journey." "I already told you, you don't have to bother and took me nothing more than five minutes to get here." She smiled. "I guess I know how that's possible." I shrugged. "Would you like to spend the night?" I asked her. "Or you're just gonna poof." I signaled with a snap of my fingers. "As much as I like the idea of the first, I believe the latter is more fun." She chuckled. "Coupled with the fact that Duncan needs me , however much he might try to deny it." "Oh, I don't think he would ever deny that." I grinned. "Oh, you should have seen how insistent he was when he ordered me to come over." She laughed. "I better get going now." Sh

  • DESIRED BY MY LYCAN EX AND THE BETA   Chapter 81: POISON TO HEAL, THAT’S THE DEAL! 🧪

LYRA'S POV "I wasn't actually expecting you." I said to Selena as I led her to the meeting room. "Of course you weren't." She responded with a smile as she took her seat. I swallowed and followed suit. It was making me uncomfortable really uncomfortable, meeting people who already knew me before the chaos order in my life. One of whom was Selena, I hadn't seen her since I left the Nightshade five years ago. "You know it seems just like yesterday since you left." She smiled. "I guess." I said with a look so uncertain. To her, it was probably yesterday but to me, I had lived every single day after that to the full and none of those days ever got jumbled up to the extent of making me think it was yesterday. To me, it was five years, exactly five years since I left that hell of a marriage with Duncan. "Is there anything I can get you?" I asked, shifting the conversation before she could open her mouth to say anything more about the past. I was sure
