Chapter 9: THE NOT-SO-SECRET OWNER

LYRA'S POV

I fastened up my pace as I headed towards the principal's office. I had been here before, several times actually and I knew my way around the area like it was the back of my palm and if I remembered correctly, the principal's office would be just around the corner. I turned to the left wing of the hallway which led into another hallway that had doors on each side of it.

My feet stopped immediately I got to the very door I was looking for, there was also metal plate with the insignia, ' principal's office ' imprinted on it.

I knocked twice on the door and waited patiently for the person on the other end to open it.

"Please, come in." The voice said but it didn't belong to Mr. Patrick. Infact, it was a woman's.

I opened the door, complete shock written all over my face that I barely tried to hide it. It had been two weeks since I last visited the school and I didn't realize they had had a change of principal.
