That sentence had Uzair frowning deeper than he realised.

It was as if someone had asked him if he was someone who was really a patriot.

It hurt that much. The simple uttered sentence broke him into millions of pieces.

Shaam continued to hold her small hand. “Gudiya, you don't recognise them..?” He repeated his question just to be sure. “They are your favourite people…don't you remember them..either of them?” He noticed her blank expression. It was absolutely strange.

Sayali's large globes were heavy with tears when she shook her head gently in negative. “N-no, Papa..” she sniffed. “I-is something wrong with me?” she sniffed again. “W-why don't I seem to know them?”
