Hearing the words the old-aged lady just spoke almost made me trip down the stairs as my lips parted from shock.

They wanted Don Luciano to get married? At this age?

Normally, in this Mafia world, it was nothing surprising, but the thought of witnessing him in the arms of another didn't sit well with me, so I just huffed, turned around, and ran up the stairs.
