We stayed in the shower longer than we needed to.

The water had run clear ten minutes ago, but neither of us moved. Mark kept me pressed to the tiled wall, forehead against mine, arms caged around me like he was afraid I’d slip away with the last of the blood. His breathing was still ragged, not from exertion anymore, but from something heavier.

I felt it too.

The crash after the high. The moment the body is sated but the heart starts asking questions the mouth isn’t ready for.

He turned the water off. Silence rushed in, louder than the spray had been.

Mark grabbed a towel, wrapped it around me first, then himself. His hands were shaking. Not much—just a tremor when he tucked the corner between my breasts. I caught his wrist.

“Hey,” I whispered. “Look at me.”

When he did, his eyes were glassy.

“I’m sorry,” he said, voice cracked open. “I keep thinking… what if this ruins you? What if I’m the thing that breaks you for good?”

The words hit harder than any thrust ever had.

I stepped in

Jessy's POVI heard the penthouse door open and was on my feet instantly, Mark's shirt falling to mid-thigh as I rushed toward the entrance. He stood in the doorway, still in his jacket, a smear of something dark on his collar that might have been blood. His eyes found mine immediately, scanning me head to toe with an intensity that should have frightened me.Instead, I crossed the space between us and wrapped my arms around him.He went rigid with surprise, then slowly, carefully, his arms came around me. One hand cupped the back of my head while the other splayed across my lower back, pulling me flush against him like he needed the contact as much as I did."I thought something happened," I whispered against his chest, breathing in the scent of him—cologne mixed with gunpowder and something metallic that made my stomach turn even as I held him tighter. "You came back so fast.""There were people watching the building." His voice rumbled through his chest, vibrating against my cheek.

  • Daddy's secret Obsession   Chapter 93:Impossible request

Jessy's POVThe city stretched out below me like a glittering web of light and shadow, beautiful and dangerous in equal measure. I pressed my forehead against the cool glass, my breath fogging the window in small bursts.Delete the messages,* I told myself. *Forget they ever happened. But I couldn't stop staring at my phone, couldn't stop seeing that photo of myself. The angle suggested someone had been across the street, maybe in a car. Close enough to capture details. Close enough to do worse than take pictures. My phone buzzed again—Mark this time:*Vincent says we'll be a few more hours. Try to sleep.*I typed back quickly:*Okay. Be safe.*Then I hesitated, my thumb hovering over the screen before I added:*I mean it.*His response came immediately:*I know you do. That's what makes this complicated.*I stared at those words, trying to decode their meaning. Was he acknowledging that something had changed between us? Or warning me that caring about him was dangerous?Probably both

  • Daddy's secret Obsession   Chapter 92:Consequences and Calculations

Jessy's POVThe hot water cascaded over my skin, washing away the physical evidence of what had just happened but doing nothing for the confusion swirling in my mind.Mark stood behind me in the massive shower, his hands surprisingly gentle as he washed my hair—an intimate gesture that felt more dangerous than anything that had happened on the couch. This was the Mark no one else saw. The one who could be tender. Careful.*Almost human.*"You're thinking too loud," he murmured, his fingers massaging my scalp."Just processing.""The meeting? Or after?"*Both. Neither. Everything.*"Antonio," I said, choosing the safer topic. "He's not going to let this go, is he?"Mark's hands stilled for a moment. "No. He made his play tonight. Now I have to respond.""What does that mean?""It means war." His voice was matter-of-fact, like he was discussing the weather. "Antonio challenged me publicly. Threatened what's mine. If I don't retaliate decisively, I look weak. And weakness in this world i

  • Daddy's secret Obsession   Chapter 91:Craving for ourselves

JessyThe car ride back was suffocating.Mark hadn't said a word since we left the restaurant. He sat beside me in the back of the SUV, his hand still gripping mine, his jaw clenched so tight I could see the muscle jumping beneath his skin.Vincent drove in silence, his eyes flicking to the rearview mirror every few seconds, checking on Mark with the wariness of someone who'd seen this storm before. The tension radiating off Mark was palpable. Dangerous. He's going to explode, I thought distantly. The question is when.We pulled up to the penthouse, and Mark was out of the car before Vincent had fully stopped, pulling me with him. His grip on my hand was bruising, possessive, barely controlled."Mark—""Not now."He dragged me into the building, past security, into the private elevator. The moment the doors closed, he slammed his hand against the emergency stop button. The elevator lurched to a halt.Silence.Mark turned to face me, and the look in his eyes made my breath catch. Not a

  • Daddy's secret Obsession   Chapter 90:The dinner

Jessy's POVThe restaurant was the kind of place where silence cost more than noise.Everything whispered wealth—from the marble floors to the crystal chandeliers, from the leather booths to the waiters who moved like shadows. Private. Exclusive. The kind of establishment where deals were made and lives were ended over plates of food most people couldn't pronounce.Mark's hand remained locked around mine as we walked through the entrance, his grip just tight enough to remind me who I belonged to. Vincent walked ahead, scanning the room with the practiced eye of someone who'd survived by noticing details others missed.I felt every eye in the room turn toward us.Not just looking. *Assessing.*Calculating Mark's worth based on the woman on his arm, the suit on his back, the confidence in his stride. This was theater. Performance. A carefully choreographed display of power. And I was the prettiest prop he owned."They're in the back," Vincent murmured, gesturing toward a private dining

  • Daddy's secret Obsession   Chapter 89:Mark's obsession

Jessy's POV Morning arrived with the cruelty of routine. I woke to find Mark already dressed, standing at the window with his phone pressed to his ear. His voice was low, clipped—the tone he used when things weren't going according to plan. He didn't acknowledge me, didn't even glance over as I slipped out of bed and padded to the bathroom. The message was clear: I was still being punished. Good. Let him think it was working. I showered slowly, methodically, taking my time with every ritual. Washing my hair. Conditioning. Shaving. Each movement deliberate, controlled. The kind of calm that came from finally understanding the game being played. When I emerged wrapped in a towel, Mark was gone. The guards outside the door remained stone-faced when I passed them. No greeting. No acknowledgment. Just that infuriating professional distance that said *we don't see you*. Fine. I didn't need to be seen. I dressed in a soft gray cashmere sweater and dark jeans—expensive but understat
