Thirty Five

I stared at myself in the bathroom mirror as the soft towel with chemical liquid erased the fake tattoo in my neckline. My dyed blonde hair turned to my natural hair look, and using an extender made it long as I had before.

The silence broke my eardrums, although my heart bled, and the tears were ready to plunge in my eyes. There's no easy part in life in the line of losing a person; the line was too sharp and painful, slicing me through and through. Just how it was always the same emotion choking me up. Black dress. Things I hated in times like this mean one thing. Death. Loss. Pain. Grief.

Promise I broke to Kirah. No matter what, I will save her family if things get wrong. But in a blink of an eye, they were snatched like her. I placed the towel on the sink and slammed my fist on the counter. Anger is one of the things I dislike. Once I am on that verge, I lose my senses.
