Mrs. O took a sip of her tea and sighed in contentment. “Ah, nothing like a warm meal on a chilly morning,” she said and glanced at Max.

“Oii, where did you get this one…” She placed her fork down and looked directly at Kristen.

“Who?” Kristen asked as she widened her eyes and glanced around..

Mrs. O pointed straight at Max.

Max looked up with his fork frozen mid air. “What have I done?” he asked innocently.

“Where did you see him from?” she asked again, her eyes narrowing slightly.

Kristen smiled slightly and was about to answer when Max cut in smoothly.

“We met in a very cool place,” he said with a confident nod.

Kristen turned to him with her eyes widening in shock.

Mrs. O raised a brow. “Cool place?”

"Yes, very cool..." Max continued and forced a casual tone.

"I see," Mrs. O said, leaning back. "You need to change him… he’s not strong enough," she added and stood up while holding her bowl.

"What did you mean by 'cool place'?" Kristen asked.. looking at Max.
