Just as his lips were about to collide with hers, she looked away, stepped back and gulped.

She shook her head, looked back at him with doubt, seething rage and growing disappointed in her eyes.

"Ivy?" He asked then he smiled, as if he was just realizing something. "You like me but you need sometime to admit it to yourself," he chuckled. "It's okay, take all the time you need. I'm not in a hurry."

"You are lying," she finally whispered.

"About what?"

"You are lying!" With that, she bolted out of the kitchen and ran up the stairs.
