I kept moving in the darkness for as long as I could remember. I had no record of how long I've been here or how much love I was going to be here but I had to get out of here. I couldn't stay here anymore.

The actions that led me here are vague in my memory, I can only remember one thing at the moment, the Caddel triplets, rejected me and humiliated me in front of everyone at the ball. All other things were blurry in my head.

I collapsed on the floor tired and frustrated. It was too dark in here and I couldn't see anything. I was supposed to get out of here? Was anyone aware that I was missing?"

I doubt it. None of them cared about me so they wouldn't obviously notice my absence.

"There is light at the end of the tunnel," I heard my mother say, causing hope to surge through my veins.

"Mom!" I called out but I got no response. I decided to go after the voice, walking in the darkness.

I stumbled through the darkness, my hands outstretched in front of me. Although, I couldn't remember how I got here or why everything was so dark. All I knew was that I needed to find the light.

As I walked, my feet felt heavy and uncoordinated. I stumbled over unseen obstacles, but somehow, I managed to keep moving forward, not stopping. My own breathing echoed in the darkness, and the sound made me feel even more alone.

Suddenly, I saw a flicker of light in the distance. It was like a tiny spark, barely visible, but it was enough to give me hope. I quickened my pace, feeling a surge of adrenaline as I drew closer.

I caught the silhouette of my mom and I broke into a race going after her. I couldn't miss her but she disappeared.

The more I ran, the more the light became far but I refused to stop. I was going to walk into that light.

"Keep going, Daphne, you're almost there," I heard the soothing voice of my mother urging me to keep moving and that strengthened me further.

I got close enough to the light and I reached out to it, stepping into the light as it engulfed me.

I slowly opened my eyes to the sound of beeping. At first, I couldn't make sense of it, but as my vision came into focus, I realized that I was lying in a hospital bed. The beeping was coming from a monitor beside me, and I could see the lines on the screen moving up and down.

I tried to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through my chest, and I fell back onto the pillows. Panic started to set in as I struggled to remember what had happened to me. The last thing I remembered was walking in the darkness, trying to find the light.

Suddenly, the door to my room burst open, and a doctor rushed in. He was wearing a white lab coat and had a stethoscope draped around his neck. He approached my bed with a concerned look on his face.

"Miss Ivory, you are finally awake, how are you feeling?" he asked, his voice gentle and reassuring.

Ivory? by any chance was I Ivory?

Not letting me ponder on my thoughts, he added "are you having troubles speaking Miss Ivory?"

"I'm...I'm not sure," I replied, my voice hoarse and weak. "What happened to me?"

The doctor looked at me with a sympathetic expression. "You were brought in unconscious by your dad",

"It's been five months since you arrived, Luckily your dad never gave up on you, I wasn't expecting you to be awake to be honest... Your Zeal to live is astonishing."

I nodded slowly, trying to process everything. The beeping from the monitor was still ringing in my ears, and it made me feel even more uneasy.

The doctor pulled up a chair beside my bed and began to check my vital signs. He listened to my heartbeat with a stethoscope, took my blood pressure, and shone a light in my eyes.

"Your vitals are stable, but we're going to keep you here for observation for a few more days, just to be safe".

"I could sense how you reacted upon hearing your name, your memory might be a little bit hazy due to the head injury but don't stress it, it will come all in due time " he said, scribbling something on a clipboard.

I stared at him dumbly. "I lost my memory?"

"Do you feel pain in your joints?"

I nodded again and the doctor continued jotting down things.

"Your ribs are broken and you won't be able to walk for a while. You would also need therapy for quick recovery."

Barely hearing what the doctor was saying, I nodded, feeling a sense of relief that someone was looking out for me. The hospital room was quiet, except for the sound of the monitor beeping and the occasional footsteps of nurses outside in the hallway.

As I lay there, watching the doctor do his work, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the small things in life that I had taken for granted. The warmth of the sun on my skin, the sound of laughter, and the feeling of being surrounded by loved ones. I realized that I had been walking in darkness for so long that I had forgotten what it felt like to truly live.

The doctor finished his examination and gave me a kind smile. "Rest up, Miss Ivory. We'll take good care of you, you're in good hands."

"Thank you doctor," I smiled, appreciatively.

"Before I forget, your dad is here to see you." I gawked at him without saying anything and I watched him leave.

Few seconds later, someone stepped in. I looked up to see a man in his fifties walking towards me. He had graying hair and deep-set eyes that seemed to twinkle with warmth and kindness.

"Ivory," he called out, his voice sounding croaked and he engulfed me in a hug.

"I thought I lost you, you've been in a coma for over five months now, I thought I had lost you."

I didn't know who he was but I patted him, trying to get him to calm down. He eventually detached from the hug and looked down at me with tears in his hands.

"Who are you?" I asked, confused and he burst into tears.

"I'm your father Ivory," he sniffed, trying to control his tears.

"Alpha Alejandro Rodriguez, and you are Ivory... Ivory Rodriguez."

"Ivory," I muttered under my breath, loving the name.

"Even though the doctor told me you would lose your memory, I didn't believe it but my little girl doesn't even recognize me anymore," dad wailed.

"I'm sorry Dad," I apologized, unsure of what to do.

"Don't apologize baby. You are a Rodriguez and you don't apologize. I'll do whatever it takes for you to get your money back. For now just rest and recover, ok?" Dad peered at me, waiting for an answer.

I smiled, my heart fluttering in happiness. "Ok dad."

He placed a kiss on my forehead and walked out, leaving me alone to myself.

Ivory Rodriguez was my name, it sounded so powerful and the name commanded respect.

I knew nothing about my father and I couldn't ask him so as not to hurt his feelings further.

I grabbed the phone on the table beside me and went to search out Alejandro Rodriguez and what I saw left me surprised.

I smiled to myself, I was Ivory Rodriguez, the daughter of the richest and most powerful Alpha in the world.

Dad was right, Rodriguez do not cry.

I scrolled down and saw a headline that caught my attention.

"The Caddel triplets are back in the city."

'The Caddel triplets', I whispered under my breath, staring at them with only one emotion in my eye. HATE!

I wanted all of them to pay!

I was going to get all of them to myself, for my use.

Rory, Rex and Ray Caddel.

I was no longer scared of being rejected, his face was as warm as ever, the moment I was close, his arms encircled me in a warm embrace. I could feel his heartbeat as I tightened my arms around him."You are the most stubborn child I ever had!" he laughed and I responded, "I am just a true reflection of you and your only child in case you've forgotten"There was a subtle look of admiration in his eyes and that gave me smile across my face. He seemed like a proud father."You got that right, now it's time for us to talk" he said, walking towards the pack house. The journey was ...serene, my father was sharing the news that had filled his days during my absence, it was like nothing had changed except that I was no longer naïve. He spoke of wars, betrayals and how he had handled everything, and I could not stop smiling. He was an Alpha indeed, strong and reliable. I remem

Slowly, the events that took place the night before filled my mind and a chuckle escaped my lips.Sleepy Ray was so damn sexy, caring and different… I remembered greedily wanting more of the Ray I had seen and hoped that it wasn't just a dream.“Glad to see you had something to smile about upon waking up” I heard someone groggily say, causing me to jerk upon realizing that I wasn't the only one present in the room.Ray stood with a tray in his hands, watching me with an amused look on his face.“I don't think I appreciate being teased so early in the morning” I whined, causing him to laugh softly and sit down beside me.“Early morning, you say?” He teased, putting the tray down.“Good to know your morning starts by 2pm baby girl”, I turned brig

  • Daphne’s Comeback: Revenge Against The Caddel triplets.   Home

Daphne’s POVThe night was cold and weirdly starry but so many thoughts flooded my head making it hard for me to go to sleep. The disbelief of everything that was happening made it difficult to rest. From my dad not being the Alpha King anymore to being back home and together with my mates. My soft footsteps kissed the cold ground as I wandered around. The Triplets were fast asleep already and judging from the meetings that were held this evening, I knew they needed all the rest they could get, so I chose not to let my insomnia disturb them.It would have been pretty nice to spend the night in their arms, talking about the future we imagine, but then I also longed for some peace and quiet. And just as though the universe could sense I would rather not be disturbed, the night whispered soothing words to me as it welcomed me to the garden. One thing that amused me was the way the brothers had handled their pack in our absence… This same pack was what the late Alpha Ryder wanted them to
