ALPHA JACE

Despite my best efforts to ignore this Omega she did things to heighten the burn in my loins.

A chuckle almost left me as I watched her shrivel under the duvet pulling it above her head.

Fighting the sting in my chest, I propped up on one arm to watch her still body, pretending to be asleep yet, her heart thundered in my ears.

"What is your name?" I tugged the duvet from her flushed face.

Her big brown eyes fluttered open, met mine, and instantly averted hers to beddings before she sat up causing the duvet to drop to her waist.

"Carly."

I'd never seen such luscious lips, skin that begged my hands to touch. Tits molded to scramble a lesser man's brain. Honey brown eyes cluelessly searching my face. This omega was such a sexual fantasy yet Nate chose to look the other way.

I had studied her the entire night as she served, her innocence gave her an air of being off limits—to bastards like me.

"Don't do that again." I sounded harsher and louder than intended. The guilt in her eyes glimmered but swiftly got shrouded by confusion as she regarded me, "Don't fuckin' try to fuck yourself right before me again."

The words reverberated through me, leaving sensual damage in its wake, causing her cheeks to redden the more.

"I wasn't trying to..." Her mouth fell and hung open, the words trapped.

Or too heavy to say?

Carly seemed too sweet to sully. How could Nate not have wanted this?

"I'm an omega." She murmured.

There was no fuckin' way in hell this pathetic creature could've read my mind.

"Hmm, yeah, with a body like that."

Goddess, I didn't mean to admit that aloud. The blood drained from my brain to my groin certainly made it hard to think straight. She could've just let me sleep in peace.

"Can we just do it and get this done with?" She gurgled, dropping her arms on her thighs. Looking like an entire tomato.

As a pack ruler, I had no room for weaknesses, I never paid attention to the Omegas in my pack but this one right here became my kind of Omega.

"For a girl that can't even say fuck," I chuckled at the sinister plan in my head, I shook it off and added, much to myself, "It's not happening. You're Nate's girl."

Nate rejected her and was with Ophelia now. I knew that for a fact.

Why did it matter now?

"I thought you were afraid of the consequences?" She pursed those bee-stung lips and my cock turned harder than a fucking steel in my sweatpants watching her ramble on, "I don't want to be the object of your regret."

She sounded confident. Appeared too confident.

"Do I look the type to be afraid?" I scoffed, "Was just fed up back there." Not wanting to extend this heated conversation, knowing what was involved, I chose to give her options. "You can leave now, Carly."

I didn't expect her to oblige. Well, she didn't. Not even an attempt to move.

"I don't want to have to face Addison." Fear momentarily clouded her vision, "Your girlfriend isn't very nice when we go against her."

"I'm not very nice either," I barked, hoping to scare her off the bed with my tone and clamped features.

"I'm not leaving." She tugged the duvet up her chest. "I don't want to leave. I like it here."

Her words rammed me in the throat like an invisible object. If they were targeted at knocking off every bit of sense from me, well, then, they worked.

Drawing closer, I ignored the pressing need to seal our lips in a ravenous kiss, with frantic hands I peeled the duvet from her, found the hem of the shirt she wore, and abruptly tugged it over her head. A short gasp escaped her lips from our sudden contact. Goosebumps pricked her skin.

"What are you doing?" She took hold of the shirt and returned it in place with a sneer on her beautiful face.

"You're not going to sleep in my shirt."

"I, um, but..."

"No, you're not." I cooed.

Inwardly groaning at the slope of her bare back now registered in my brain, the perfect indent of her spine, her perked-up nipples stiffened into pebbles, begging me to touch them.

"I'm being nice," I dampened my lower lips with my tongue, mustering all the willpower in me not to touch this sweet creature before me, "I want you to leave."

Every bit of fear seemed to be stripped off, jaws dropped as her hands pulled the duvet up her shoulders, about to sleep, giving me a chance to catch my breath.

"I can't wander the hall, what if Addison sees me?"

"You should be afraid of what could happen to you in here," I glowered.

"Do I look the type to be afraid?"

It took me less than a minute to realize she was returning my words and even less time to realize her hand was back to surreptitiously stroking her tits under the duvet. A habit she refused to break from even after I warned her.

It certainly was going to be a long night with a girl as stubborn as Carly with her intentions plain. Just like she said, this was exactly why we were here. Why then did my head give way to my feelings?

This wasn't right, trapping an innocent girl in our game wasn't right at all, Omega or not one thing the goddess might be er forgive.

However, I'd waited all night just to give it up now. When did I grow a quitter?

Tugging the duvet aside, my eyes dropped on her, skin that begged me to touch her, without the least resistance, I gently took hold of her chin, hauling her to my chest, and in a fluid movement, I sealed our lips in a slow but ardent kiss.

The worst decision of her life. She just didn't know. Not yet.

  • Dare To Mate   Chapter 223 - CARLY IS MORE IMPORTANT

JACE BALDWIN'S POV I was a lucky bastard to have been accepted by Carly after everything I put her through.Everything was falling into place for us. I had a woman whom I loved with everything and I knew she loved me and would do anything for me. I had a son as a successor.Even though my mother and Carly were yet to see eye to eye, I knew they would come to a mutual ground one day.Things between Ian and Allison had already kicked off. A side of him I never knew existed is finally on display. He was still the brooding man everyone knew but when Alli was around, he was all soft and grinning like an idiot.I was happy for him. He deserves his happily ever after."Why?" "You brought it on yourself.""It's my fault my best friend betrayed me?"Nate was awaiting trial in the holding cell. I wanted to know his reasons for committing treason."Best friend? Everyone knows who filled that position in your life. It should have been me." I had a feeling this had nothing to do with who he th

  • Dare To Mate   Chapter 222 - OUR HOME

CARLY WOODS POV "I have something I want to show you."Jace was behind me, his hands snaked around my waist as he whispered, his breath tingled my ear and his morning voice did things to my southern region. My lips curled up coyly, leaning into his hard frame."I wonder what that could be.""You'll have to find out for yourself my little omega.""You know Selva can take down an entire pack." "I know, but you'll always be my little omega plus I know you love it.""You caught me but it's only fair I have you mine." I tapped my chin with a fake pondering face. "How about cutie?" I had my best cute face on as I turned in his arms."Don't even think about it. There's nothing cute about all these." I pouted as he gestured to himself."I don't like it either, how about snuggles? I love the sound of that already.""Whatever makes you happy love." He dipped his head and connected our lips in a toe-curling kiss. It's been six days since the Gaia Ritual, six days after the Outlanders' attack.

  • Dare To Mate   Chapter 221 - UNPROCESSED GRIEF

JACE BALDWIN'S POV Darkness consumed Ian's eyes, veins popped on his forehead as he tackled a smirking Nate to the ground from behind. The two men contended against each other on the dirt ground. Ian was consumed by his anger which made his moves sloppy making Nate prevail. The pain of betrayal cut deep as I stood paralyzed on my feet watching them throw punches at each other. In my moment of distraction, Darren took the time to choke me with his elbow from behind. The sand under our feet and the trees seem to be fighting for us, as Darren's men would trip out of nowhere, their feet became clumsy and whenever they got tossed against the tree, they found it hard to get out of the small bush at the foot of the tree trunk.I jammed my elbow hard into his upper abdomen and chest, but he never let go instead, his grip tightened considerably.Extending my claws, I slashed his left eye, his hands instantly came off as he howled in pain doubling over.I rammed my elbow into his back which wa

  • Dare To Mate   Chapter 220 - THE UNSAID RULE OF WAR

JACE BALDWIN'S POV In the darkness of the night, the ripping sound of flesh tearing, the wrenching sound of bones cracking and breaking, tangled with the agonizing wails and howls of men and wolves. Our warriors were fierce, their moves unrelenting as they fought against the intruders, fought to reduce the number of the fallen. The unsaid rule of war was clear; kill or be killed.Bodies were shredded, heads were twisted 360 degrees before being ripped off, throats were ripped off... whatever sharp moves the warriors remembered were employed to take down our enemies. My moves were swift and my attacks were with precision as I killed to defend the territory I swore by blood to protect. I had one intention and that was to kill these bastards for trespassing on my territory and antagonizing my people. The ritual worked out on time for the attack.I wondered what would have happened if Carly hadn't stepped in for the ritual. The Outlanders would have spoiled my pack and left it in ruins,

  • Dare To Mate   Chapter 219 - SEAL OF RESTORATION

CARLY WOODS POV "Are you sure you want to do this?" I watched from the mirror as Allison gently brushed my hair, untangling every knot and tangle.Ian insisted I wear a white dress for the ritual, something about sanctification and purity.I smiled widely at her, "I've never been more sure about something. Besides, I love him and want Hunter to have his father while growing up.""Try not to blind me with that smile. I'm so proud of you and I'll stand by you all the way." She engulfed me in a hug from behind, her chin on my head. The dress was a short flare that came to my mid thigh, a deep cowl neckline with a collar that exposed my neck, the sleeves covered my fingers and I had to pull them up to my wrist. I laughed as Alli repeatedly rubbed her head in irritation while gritting her teeth at the yellow maxi dress with a long slit that stopped mid-thigh that Ian brought for her."He's trying to get back at me, you can't convince me otherwise." She slumped into the bed."There's no

CARLY WOODS POV Pulling the seat on the opposite side of him, I sat and placed Hunter on my lap.Why didn't he tell me Lykos was dying? He doesn't want you worrying or feeling bad for not agreeing with Ian.And he wanted me to wake up one morning and find out he was gone?Maybe he plans on ringing a bell two seconds before he dies so you'd realize he's not going to hurt his son.Lykos has always been kind to me, even when Jace was a huge pain in the rear. I couldn't watch him die."You dyed a different child's hair and pretended he was Jace's?" I rolled my eyes at him."You know you can always tell us anything, right?" "I found my wolf."A proud smile broke out on Jace's face but Ian looked disappointed at the little piece of information."I don't see how that is of any help to a dying Jace and Lykos. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy you finally got what you wanted, little one but we ain't throwing a party because you finally got your wolf after what? Three? Four years?"My face burned
