The Escape Plan

Michael’s POV

All eyes were on me.

The tension in the air felt like it could snap.

Dust fell from the ceiling like ash as another distant explosion shook the foundation of the estate.

Somewhere outside, the sounds of numerous gunfire burst through. It was obvious it was our men firing back at their enemies, eager to make sure none of them entered the mansion..

Yet inside this dining hall, everything was still for a heartbeat.

Mortis, Emilio, and Marlo stood in a semi-circle around me. Fernando’s limp body hung between Emilio’s arms as if he was already dead.

The weight of leadership—or perhaps desperation—had momentarily fallen into my lap immediately I had said I had a plan, and they all waited for me to speak.

I took a slow breath, steadying my voice.

“I know a way out.”

Mortis leaned in, narrowing his eyes.

“You’re sure?”

“I’ve studied this place,” I said. “Not on purpose, but… I noticed things. Patterns and routes.”

“And suddenly, you have an escape route, just like that?” Marl

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Lines We Crossed

Fernando's POV The cold hardwood floor was the first thing I became aware of when I opened my eyes. That, and the pain screaming across my lower back.I groaned, shifting just a little, but it sent a shock of discomfort straight up my spine. My blanket had twisted around me in the night, tangled and half off my body, the pillow barely doing anything for my neck.“Fuck,” I muttered under my breath. “Great idea, genius.”Sleeping on the floor had felt like a power move last night. Dramatic, final, and righteous. After Michael called our kiss a mistake in front of Ashley, I couldn’t just crawl into the same bed as him and pretend it didn’t sting like hell. But now, with the light of morning crawling in through the blinds and my entire body aching like I had been in a car crash, the gesture felt a lot less poetic.I sat up, wincing. My joints popped like old wood under pressure.Michael was still in the bed, turned away from me, the blanket tucked around him like a cocoon. His chest ros

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Cracks in the Glass

Michael's POV The kitchen light above flickered once, like it was struggling to catch its breath, and then glowed steadily. Cold air drifted from the half-open refrigerator, brushing against the sweat on my back. My hands were still clutched around the glass of water, but I hadn’t taken a single sip. Fernando was standing way too close—his breath, warm and fast, brushing against my cheek. His hand had just been on my chest a moment ago. I hadn’t pushed him away immediately. And that was the part I hated the most.I heard her before I saw her—bare feet slapping against the hardwood floor, fast and angry, like a storm coming. The moment I turned, I knew we were caught.Ashley stood at the kitchen entrance, her arms crossed over her chest, her sleep shirt hanging off one shoulder. Her dark eyes flared with fury, and her voice cracked like a whip.“What the hell is happening here?”My whole body went cold.“Shit,” Fernando muttered.I shoved him back instinctively, as if putting dista

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Tension and Temptation

Fernando's POV The moment our lips collided, everything else disappeared. Michael tasted like fire and memory. His mouth moved with such stubborn defiance—like he was trying to punish me, prove a point—but I knew the rhythm. I knew the way he kissed when he was angry. It was deep, desperate and needy. And I gave in like I always did. Our bodies pressed together in the tangle of sheets, breaths coming in hot and fast. My hand was still on his waist, fingers trembling as I gripped the hem of his shirt and slowly pushed upward. He didn’t stop me. Not yet. God, I had missed this. I had missed him. I missed the way his skin warmed under my touch, the way he made that little sound when I kissed the corner of his mouth, like he wanted more but didn’t want to admit it. He pulled back slightly, just enough to see his face. His eyes were dark with something dangerous—desire, fear and frustration. “You should’ve told me to stop,” I whispered. “You should’ve never started,” he shot

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Heat Between the Sheets

Michael’s POV The silence in the guest bedroom wrapped around me like a second skin—uncomfortable, hot, and too thick to breathe in.I sat on the edge of the bed, still fuming. The argument from earlier replayed in my head like a broken record. The humiliation burned through me like acid. The sound of the bathroom door creaking open snapped me out of my thoughts.Fernando stepped out, his dark hair damp, clinging to his forehead, a towel still around his neck. He looked fresh out of a storm—annoyed, tired, and… stupidly attractive in that wrinkled, brooding way that always seemed unintentional. But what caught my attention wasn’t his wet hair or the way his broad shoulders filled the doorway. It was what he did next.Instead of walking to the bed, he reached for one of the pillows and tossed it onto the floor, then grabbed the spare blanket from the chair and laid it out like he was preparing for war.I blinked. “What are you doing?”He didn’t answer at first, just sank to his kne

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Too Close for Comfort

Fernando's POV The bathroom light buzzed softly above me, flickering once as if the bulb were trying to decide whether to stay on. I still stood in front of the mirror, my arms braced on the cold porcelain of the sink, staring at a version of myself I barely recognized anymore. I looked… tired. I rubbed my face with both hands and exhaled sharply. What the hell am I doing? Everything between us had unraveled so messily, and now? Now, I was back in the same space as him. The scent of him still hung faintly in the air: that clean, spicy cologne he always wore, the one that made my chest ache. I shouldn’t still remember it. I shouldn’t still care. I looked away from the mirror. I didn’t like the expression staring back at me. Then a sudden thud behind the door made my spine stiffen. A beat passed. Then the door swung open with such force it slammed into the wall with a bang. Michael stood there. His shirt slightly wrinkled, hair messy like he had been pulling at it, his

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Bruised Hearts

Michael’s POV The throbbing in my arm hadn’t stopped since it was fixed by Ashley. The bandages were tight, a constant reminder that I had nearly died today—or maybe yesterday, I didn’t even know what time it was anymore. The painkillers had dulled the edge, but the ache still lived deep in the muscle, pulsing in time with my heartbeat like it was angry for being ignored. I should be in bed. Nick had told me that. Ashley had said the same. But as I sat on the couch staring at the pale wall across from me, I couldn’t shake one thought—Henry. I needed to see him. Even if he was asleep. Especially because he was asleep. I just wanted to see his face, to know he was okay. Maybe I just needed some part of today to feel… normal. I pushed myself up, wincing as the strain sent fire up my arm, and walked barefoot down the hallway. The house was quiet, cloaked in that strange midnight stillness that makes you feel like you’re trespassing even when it’s your own home. I gently opened
