Oldest daughter and second child who fills the role of "mother-figure" to her siblings when her mother leaves them. Gemma doesn’t get along with Joshua as she feels her mother is more partial towards him.

She is in a relationship with someone, has a crush on Marion Montenegro but then actually likes Heath when she eventually meets him, Heath James who is Tara’s younger brother. She eventually chooses Heath, but her ex remains her best friend.

can we not do the characters backstory, we want to have suspense when we read, mystery. I don't want to figure out the story before it gets done and a good reader should be able to imagine each character on their own not needing the help of the author, thank you
