~Avery~

"On Saturday?"

Scott's wedding was on Saturday and the only flight that would be available to London was on Saturday morning. I didn't want to be in the country at the time of his wedding.

"Fine. Just book it"

There was no other time left. I have to act quickly before I mess things up even more. Completely lost in my thoughts, my phone buzzed with a new notification.

It was a message from an unknown number. I took a glance around with knotted brows before tapping on the icon. Colour drained out of my face after my eyes fell on the despicable images.

My heart thumped wildly as if I ran a marathon. The figures in the pictures looked familiar. How could this be possible? I looked away feeling so embarrassed on their behalf.

How could Stephen and Stella stoop so low? Was this how much he truly loved me like he claimed yesterday? If he loved Stella, why didn't he just tell me other than doing this to me?

~Stella~My eyes opened slowly as the sunlight crept in and fell on my face. A smile appeared on my lips in the bright room. I tried to turn but felt something heavy around my waist. My eyes went wide like saucers recalling every tiny detail from last night, I dropped my gaze to the arm holding my waist possessively like I belonged to him alone. It was Stephen. It wasn't a damn dream. It happened! I facepalm myself thinking of what Stephen might do or say when he realizes that he spent all night with me. The actions from last night shamelessly started flooding back in and I was left blushing hard. I bit my bottom lip to control myself from screaming out.I didn't regret it. It was indeed the best night of my life. The only problem I had was how he would react to this. I raised his arm slowly taking it away from my waist and gently crept out of the bed.I winced feeling the throbbing pain in-between my legs. Down there felt sour and it stings slightly. I lost count of how many times

***WARNING MATURED CONTENTS AHEAD SKIP IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE**** ***********YOUR HUMBLE AUTHOR....BLUE*****~Avery~I've lost track of how long I stood watching Allison sleep. It was a really tough battle to get her to bed after she overheard Stephen and I discussion. She found out about the truth in the worst way possible. What I've been avoiding all along has already happened. Who knows where exactly Stephen might have gone. I explained everything to Stella over the phone just in case she sees him. It was already so late and his phone was unreachable. Things shouldn't have turned out the way it did if I had taken a different approach to tackle the situation. I touched my forehead feeling so confused on what to do. Allison would eventually question me about her real father. She'll break down even more when she realizes that her real father and mother can not be together.Scott was about to start a new life and I'm not sure that Allison would be able to bear it once she fin

~Unknown~The dimly lit bar made it difficult for me to see the expression the lady sitting before me had on. She brought the glass of whiskey to her lips but paused when she noticed my stare. "You failed twice. And now there's a bounty for your arrest." A cold smirk flashed on her lips for a second "I'm so much tempted to turn you in by myself!" Her voice was sharp and fierce at the end of her sentence. A cold sweat broke out on my forehead and it rolled down my face. The smell of alcohol lingered in the hair coupled with the smell of sweat from the people dancing to the loud music blasting through the speakers. My life was going well before I met her and started doing her heinous tasks. Now I regret ever accepting money from her. "I tried. They are just too lucky-"There's no such thing as luck! You failed! Stop making goddamned excuses!" Her sharp voice managed to reach my ears clearly despite the loud music playing. My head bowed slightly in disappointment. "I'll launch ano

~Avery~By the time I returned home, it was a little late. I spent almost all of my work hours reading the invite over and over again with the hopes that maybe.. just maybe Scott left a clue for me like he did with the divorce papers years ago. But who was I kidding? This wedding was real. I'll be damned to ever show up that day. The pain will be too much for me to bear. I couldn't risk it. My eyes were slightly swollen and red as I had checked in the car's mirror before coming in. Everywhere was quiet and empty. No sign of Stella, Stephen or Allison. "I'm home" Seconds ticked by and no one appeared which was weird. Where could they have all gone to without informing me? I pulled out my phone ready to call Stephen but the soft footstep descending the stairs got my attention. I looked up immediately and it was him. A sigh of relief left my lips. The worst scenario was already creeping into my head a while ago. Something about him felt different though. Both of his hands were tuc
